- Coach has called it...best K-pop song ever (at least for now). Didn't expect to top Domino so soon, but this rock sound has taken this song to the top at the moment. This is ITZY with "Nobody Like You" Selfie Cam version.

I am happy that the girls, despite the fact that it can be very difficult for them at times, continue to smile brightly and do what they really like. Lia has been in rest for many months now, she is my bias, so I really miss her, I hope she will recover soon and itzy from 5 will reunite.

Kpop (in my opinion) is the genre that absolutely loves and does so much for their fans. That's what drew me to so many of the groups and kpop in general

Like Coach, I am REALLY getting into Itzy lately. My top groups are BLACKPINK, (G)I-DLE, AESPA, BABYMONSTER, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, LE SSERAFIM. However, Itzy is climbing to the top of list quickly for me lately.
i've been looking forward to this since you started your ITZY journey. it can be hard to define best or favourite sometimes because different songs mean different things at times but this is definitely the song i have the most affection for. never skip it and almost always add it to new playlists - glad you liked it.
Dreamcatcher have a couple of tracks that have videos made by the members - 'Sahara' and 'Break the Wall' - both fun videos and really good songs/B sides
We can see why you like this so much. This group is really hitting it for us. We're definitely Midzy here! We're starting to realize some b-sides might be as good or better than the title tracks.
Domino and nobody like you are some of my fav songs all time and itzy is easily my top kpop groups. I recommend LOVE Is or Be In Love next
Love Mrs. Coach's take on what makes kpop special and draws people to it. I couldn't agree more. The level of reciprocal appreciation between artist and fan is amazing.
I think our KPOP journeys have followed similar paths. As an "older" fan, I was introduced to KPOP via BlackPink (I'm a big Jennie fan) and later Itzy (I'm a big Yeji fan). I find the music energizing, but I also truly enjoy the production quality of most of these videos (Pink Venom for example). One thing that has drawn me to these two groups, however, might be what I think could be a sentimentality that might come with age and exposure to various aspects of life and an appreciation for talent and hard work. I love the emotion all these girls present in their music AND their on-camera personas. I don't know if it is a cultural thing, but it is quite evident that they do not take their fandom for granted. They are human beings, and I think we love them as much for their flaws and humanity as we do for their talent. In this regard, KPOP has truly surprised me.
Having said all that and after having watched most of your BlackPink and Itzy reactions, I suggest you watch Itzy's 'Untouchable' music video (I think it'll knock your socks off, Coach).
Also, I suggest you check out some of Yeji's earlier stuff, specifically her rendition of 'River.' She personifies 'charisma' on stage and yet if you learn a bit more about her, she is also a very humble and sweet human being.
Anyway, thanks for what you do and keep up the good work!

Not sure how to pick one in this group, they are all so amazing. Yeji and Lia are battling it out for Coach's bias but then the others come knocking at times, as well. It's tough, but any choice is valid, including OT5.

Here is the definition of adult conflict. I love kpop and have adored Itzy since they rescued me from pandemic depression in 2020. I am a 60 year old music lover with 3 kids and 6 grandchildren. My parents are still living so I am blessed. I was ready to buy my single ticket to the concert in Irving Texas june 16th. An easy 5 hour drive from Wichita where I live. Right before I hit the buy button, I realized the concert was on Fathers day Sunday. Darn. I would consider disappointing my kids amd grandchildren, but I cannot dishonor my father, by abandoning our tradition of watching the final round of the us open whilst barbecuing some great food on Father's day. Alas, I will not be able to go support my Queens. But when Lia returns for World wide tour 3, I promise i will be in the front row.
Respect for that commitment to family. Hopefully you'll get the chance to see them soon.
I agree with everything you said. The song is great. As amazing as the big budget production mvs are there's nothing like these self made ones to hit you in the feels. You just get such a sense of their personalities.

One of my favorites! The rock vibe is great and the video is super fun. I also completely agree with the idea of people becoming superfans because in Kpop you tend to get to know the artist just a little bit more. I've actually been purposefully avoiding extra content on certain groups (ITZY is one of them) because neither my wallet nor my family could handle it. Right now the only groups I watch every bit of content for are Blackpink, Babymonster and Aespa (with a sprinkle of Band-Maid and Babymetal) and that's about all the time I have. But just musically I follow a lot more groups ofc.

Ok, this has confirmed my opinion that Coach is a big fan of ‘Anthem Rock’. Hence his obsession with Queen and AC/DC. Pretty sure GnR is also there. For anthem tho, you cannot beat ‘BabyMetal. When you discover ‘Lovebites’ (Jrock) I think you will also like them. You might also try ‘The Hu’ a Mongolian band. Highly suggest ‘Wolf Totem’. I agree with Mrs Coach. Kpop is happy music. Anytime I’m down I put some on and soon I have a smile. Keep those reactions coming. Waiting for ‘Happiest Girl and Tally’ especially.
Yeah, definitely like GnR, also. BabyMetal has been a pleasant surprise, as has LoveBites (we have another from both of them recorded and coming in the near future).

It's taken me a while, but I've finally realised that possibly the main reason I've become less appreciative of these K-pop girl bands is simply the lack of men!
I really miss lower register voices harmonising...
We've heard a few people mention the lower register is their preference, and a few of the groups do have some females with that lower register. We totally understand the individual preference for that sound. This was definitely a fun one.

Ah, you are very kind to say that. We're just enjoying this journey, and we have truly fallen for ITZY. They are fabulous. And it's hard for us to imagine this group without Lia. Her voice is so good and an integral part of their sound. Hope she is doing better.
