  • 60 year old skater Neil Hackett still thriving on skateboarding. Skateboarding is a lifestyle and without it a lot of people woild struggle dealing with day to day life. Skateboarding can be an escape as much as it is an expression. Hearing and listening to why people skate, especially those thatbhave skates for 40 years, will always be an inspiration.

Ps: I skated through my teenage years and I completely battered myself as you’d expect from someone age 10-17, one car accident and one work injury, now if I walk on it or stand on it too long I have to lie down. Not sure why this video was recommended to me. Maybe because my name is Neil, too? Lol. But I used to skate and it felt good hearing his story and why he still does it. Great video.

This is so awesome. I would love to skate again but I'm recovering from my second foot surgery. This inspires me and gives hope that the time will come where I can try this again one day. Keep it up and don't worry about the people who think your crazy for skating over 40.

NIce! Watching from Fort Worth, Texas. 55 and still BMX riding and skating. A few years ago some teens started hassling me and I talked with them and told them it's us older guys that can vote and been doing this a long time that are voting to have more skate areas built for them. It became a civics lesson, a connection between young and old.

This is a great story. You have a couple of videos with 100k+ views. From my perspective as a random viewer, they're your most viewed videos because the titles tell a story that everyone can relate to. Basically, I want to be doing stuff I love when I'm 60, because growing old sucks. That's the common thread. Thanks for making content!!!

How have I never seen this guy before? This is beautiful! I had a dream not long ago that i was rollerblading and got some big air over a parked car and it felt so good. When I woke up, the first thing I wanted to do was put on my old rollerblades and cruise around the culdesac. I realized how out of shape I was and im in my late 20s. Stuff like this inspires me to take advantage of the short time we have and enjoy what you love before your knees and back give out. Thank you so much for sharing this, I know what I'm doing this weekend ⛸🛹
