Elaborate further, and yes, it still has the same amount of E's per full rotation even if you do it the correct way, but doing it first and foremost is much more efficient, and I'd argue based on my experiences, her dashes makes rotation more efficient than other character that doesn't have a dash mechanic on her skill - why? Because most character you need to run to approach enemies and then use their skill, whereas Yae Miko, she can approach enemies or reposition and simultaneously doing her skill, kill two bird with one stone. Sometimes you don't have stamina, her dashes still allow for quick reposition. That's exactly how you utilise her dashes, with that utilisation, you waste zero time doing her skill. Although I'd say there are few situations where you don't need the dashes, in that cause yeah sure her dash is an inconvenience.
And lastly, you will waste her damage on the first cycle of her turrets if you do the asinine EEEQEEE. Another reason not to do that.
I was edging on either to pull Yae or not to, but after hearing 27:44 part of the video - I've immediately decided to travel back in time and pull Yae on her first banner.

nearly shed a tear when you explained that you can (should) do E - E - E at the start, swap out, go through your rotation, burst, then repeat. it seems no one but us yae mains know that and it's so annoying to see content creators recommend the least optimal way to play her, only to then go and say she "takes up too much field time." well-researched and well-presented review!
I was dumbfounded when he explained that some people actually EEE immediately before her burst. I've been playing her for a while now and it never crossed my mind to NOT let the main source of her damage sit on the field at all times.
I don't know how many times I've explained to someone that no, you shouldn't EEE Q EEE immediately if you want to get the most out of her. Idk how there's so much misinformation about it

A sidenote: despite her long burst CD, Yae typically enjoys some of the shortest team rotations in the game if her other teammates allow it (12-15s) because it’s not necessary for her to burst every rotation and it can end up being more damage due to no longer needing ER stats that can go for more offensive stats

I've been playing her since the 1st banner and never felt the clunkiness somehow. E+dash is great fo overworld, in abyss you keep the safe distance anyway or E around the mobs dodging the hits. The real downside is the squishiness - Kairagi can oneshot her and then you had to restart the floor.
Agreed. Sometimes I use E to dodge when stamina is depleted. And some boss needs some time to wake up anyway, I'll use her EEE while waiting.

tighnari+yae+fischl+zhongli is almost my favourite team now. its rotation is super short and synergistic, it is really fun and dynamic, and does a lot of dmg (not my best dmg team but it's rlly good still)

Nice Video Mr.Zajef. I used Yae since her 1st banner non stop whit my Raiden and i'll continue to do that but it's nice to see she has more team options now.
I use her with a EM sands and yelan, nahida and zhongli with Yae as the driver. You get both strong aggravates and hyperbloom damage with the flexibility to switch between characters whenever you want as your not locked into an infusion/ult. Zhongli does what he does best i.e buffing, res shred for electro, dendro and hydro and ofc you never die or take damage. Works great for me.
you can cheat a bit with Yae, Nahida aggravate team by putting a prototype Amber on your Nahida. It is copium level heals but it can make that difference in surviving floor 12 or not :D
By the way only with Dendro, I managed to crack those 60ks on her turrets. And that used on multiple targets where you can aggravate a lot more often makes the payoff a lot better. I can see now better why they went with 3 turrets instead of 1.
I just use Zhongli, Nahida, Raiden and Yae. Zhongli for her squishyness. Nahida for aggravate and Raiden for her ER issues.
I know how strong Fischl is, but I simply decided to use Kuki in my Yae quicken, just for the sake of comfort.
By the way only on hyper i can crack 800k total burst dmg on Yae

I don't like when she is compared to Fischl, since she is much better than her with Nahida. Fischl's cd/duration is kinda not ideal and the damage is a lot different with Yae. not to mention Yae has a burst while Fischl doesn't. Yae is made for Dendro. She is at the top for that matter in Quicken team. You can have a look at my C0 Yae doing 90k per aggravate on my channel.
Having and actively playing both, I feel like keqing is even stronger than yae in multitarget situations, but in single target ones Yae is the queen. HOWEVER. TF Keqing is so much fun to play, that i find it hard to switch back to righthererightnowemerging with yae
Same! Keqing playstyle is so fun that I really don't feel like swapping to Miko even if it's for a slight increase. I also feel safer with Keqing.
agreed quicken 4tf keqing feels like how keqing was supposed to be played from the start, really flashy jumping all over the place, and actually doing good damage too. plus its very easy to run a no healer comp since half the time you have i-frames and spamming E makes it so you charge atk less, aka better stamina too
@@anandaadiv4949 She was always very fun in quickswaps, which of course sufficed in domains etc., but man you felt the lack of dmg outside of maybe some easy mobbing chambers. Now even a more sustained Keqing is very respectable, I love that Dendro actually ended up patching up some balance issues, just like people had hypothesized.
I wonder which aspects were planned and to what degree, I'd assume Kuki benefiting is VERY intentional to the point they designed her around Dendro's release, Keqing benefiting kinda intentional/they realized somewhere in the process and approved, but for example fridge, thundering furry and maybe hyperbloom EM Raiden E-bot, those are probably just happy accidents.
it's interesting how ppl asked so long for an electro version of melt/vape but instead we got quicken, which to me is actually a better reaction and it made units that were seen as bad, stronger, like Keqing, who I prefer over Yae in aggravate teams, but I still use Yae a lot more

Feels like too many tubers are trying sooooo hard to please everyone in fear of angering any simps that come across their videos.
i personally use her as an off-field electro applicator in an electro charged team with ayato, sucrose and bennett. It solves some issues of her aoe problems and also the em scaling actually is really good especially with the widsith, sucrose, and benentt buffs
Her three elemental skills only take 1.5 second, in a full 24 second rotation with burst animation, in total she takes around 5 seconds of field time, that's only quarter-ish of a full rotation. While it's still longer than someone like Fischl (even though it's inherently a fallacy to compare them), her field time is exaggerated by so many people that are clueless on how to play her. I still see people right here in the comment complaining about the EEEQEEE which is totally the wrong way to play her, and totally asinine despite the fact that this video kinda addressing about it, so they don't really watch the video lmfao. Heck even Tenten still yapping about it SMH.

Tighnari was such a godsend for me. I really love Yae’s design but my god the clunkiness was definitely there. I pulled her and her weapon, and honestly they just kinda sat around collecting dust.
Then in comes Tighnari. (Thanks Standard Banner, you da real MVP.)
Suddenly I use Yae in *every* spiral abyss cycle. Every. Single. One. Because that team just feels so good to play. I’m so glad he was released because I can actually enjoy my fox mommy!

Yae’s one of the characters that I love but can’t bring myself to pull. I can’t see myself really using her much and I don’t have unlimited primogems to go pull on a character that I’ll likely end up benching.
@Zhubai Somehow the same happens to me with Ayaka, but because she makes most of the game feel quite... trivial? Like unless an enemy or something can't be freezed it's just too easy. So if you don't especially like her for character reasons, it can lead to getting bored of her I think.

@@wilburforce8046 Coming back from the future, I’ll probably pull Yae during her next rerun. Was saving up for Dehya then hoyoverse decided to make their first 3* character. Now I have an excess of primos and only Nilou and Yae appeals to me atm. I love Yae’s and Dehya’s design and I can see myself using Yae with Nahida where Dehya is just taking up a team slot. Why they had to do her so dirty like that :(

Honestly I feel like Yae Miko is one of the characters you're pulling for cause you love her design and her personality, and her damage being not bad is just a bonus, but for me that means I'm better off sticking with my current Electro characters and saving for someone that would be more valuable to me.
I've had a lot of success using prototype amber Nahida as the "some healing required" on the team.
In terms of slot efficiency it's very good, she still adds a lot of team damage, and you can use something like Kazuha or Sucrose with Fischl and still have just enough healing to keep yourself from dying to bleed.
It's sometimes hard for me to gauge team-dps between setups where a catalyst user brings Prototype Amber and ones where a character is replaced by a healer/a similar team is built with them in mind, but Prototype Amber has been great for me at times. I sometimes even prefer it over heals for which you need the character on-field to receive it, Prototype Amber really keeps everyone topped off, I'd love to see it in more weapon classes. (Sucrose is a favorite open-world healer of mine)
I also like it as it is a good way of getting good enough energy recharge on her when she is used off-field.
Yeah, Zajef is always talking about how good Fav is for Nahida, but isn’t prototype amber even better for regenerating energy to the team? Prototype amber Nahida feels good to me.

I know this is late but with fav sword - kazuha, you can then run prototype amber on nahida if you really want to for the healing and still get all the good stuff that kazuha gives you. Also between the energy refund that prototype amber gives AND fav particles and electro resonance , ER requirements are like nothing

Yae Miko was my first 5* which I pulled accidentally while I didn’t know what I’m doing. She was ok’ish to play only and I ditched her when I got Raiden as my first wanted 5*. Since Dendro I use her a lot in the overworld for AFK’ing quest enemies. Even though she now easily clears Abyss too. She’s easy to build: 2pc 2pc artifacts are enough. DMG is decent. Design is very cool 😎 but there’s better carry’s
i pulled both her and tighnari while getting c6 heizou, so im excited to try building a team with the two of them together

The real question that wasn't asked is when do we get the Zajeff voice pack for Genshin.
On a different note I actually quite like Yea though I use her with Raiden which basically fixes her ER issues for the most part, you still need to get a good chunk of ER from subs though. Though I really wish they would have made it so using her ulti would just refresh the duration of her turrets instead of consuming them and refunding the CD on them. This would have solved soo much of her quality of life problems without having to spend a ton of time on field constantly setting up the turrets.
Zajef, can I just say I really appreciate you listing her pros and cons (especially the mechanical aspect of having to spam her E skill) since I see most other content creators' videos only addressing her damage potential from dendro reactions. I love Yae as a playable character but it's still weird how her kit was designed even if she's still viable damage-wise.
her cons are not as impactful as ppl make them out to be, there are ways to work around most of them, while her pros don't rly stand out in comparison. In the end of the day, I think she's mostly a character that ppl should go for if they still want her despite her drawbacks.

Regarding Yae in Hyperbloom, what about building her with an EM sands, damage% Goblet, and crit circlet? Let an anemo unit handle most of the hyperbloom procs, while Yae just does her thing with Kokomi.

Great video. The only thing is missing is admitting her potential vs pesky enemies like ruin serpent, wolflord, rifthounds, spectres, which other units occasionally have issues hitting but she doesn't share those problems as much.
True, in terms of comfort she's the best in those situations. She'll basically never miss a hit of her damage.

She doesn't get enough swirls to do good damage and trigger enough chain aggravates, because she does anemo damage only once when the enemies enter her field thingy

She is NOT a 5 star fischl… their roles are different. Yae (especially in dendro teams) is quickswap main dps while fischl is sub dps. Using yae as a sub dps is horrible and a waste of time
I have Yae, fischl, beidou and every single electro character and tbh, I don't regret pulling for her. She has some issues? Yeah, but she's very cool to play when you combine her skills with her NA wich is pretty good tbf. Character that I regret pulling? Ayato and Cyno.

i complaint a lot when she first came out. When dendro makes her viable as an on-field, it somewhat sates my need of love seeing her fox-liked hand gesture after CA. So i will get her to C3 in 3.2 and eventually C6 years later.
I pulled for her on a whim on the last day when she released while i was burnt out of the game, didn't play for half a year. Returned. Never built her... until i missed my 50/50 to Tighnari. Now I built both Tighnari & Yae & loving the rotation between the 2 and it's been my most played team since.
I'm kinda hoping for a dendro healer/shielder though for thi steam.

Everything about the voiceline DPS is actually true I've done the testing and the calculations with my Yae to confirm.
If just recommend Yae coz she still does a tonne of damage whilst being a drop dead Gorgeous character with an awesome personality. And because she's so hot, I don't mind her on field requirements, to the point where I like them more. Whereas with Fischl I drop Oz and then swap which DPS wise is great, but there's no time to look at Fischl so... I don't care about Amy as much
Im actually rly happy i got her somewhat accidentaly on her first banner while pulling for thoma, even tho she used up my guarantee. Knowing myself i wouldnt go for her on rerun, but i use her so much in abyss even before dendro:)
For me Yae is in the same priority as Shenhe. A hot character that I would like to have but is always on a low priority so I never can afford savings to pull for them.

Yae is for people who enjoy a bit of a lazy playstyle. For me, she was a lot of fun to play and totally different from Keqing and Fischl. Always fun with a bit more charm than the rest.
