Odds of damage go down drastically when Tom is around. He is just that guy every get her done person needs.
What am I missing? These vehicles aren't that old what's up with the fuel pumps?
I can tell Tom is the kind of guy who like to do things right, and has some good skills and logic to match.
@@terrymoore9185 Ford. That's what the problem is. They got a large batch of bad fuel pumps.
Spot on.
Every guy like Matt needs somebody like Tomtom around smooth off the rough edges.
Tom Tom is so reasonable
For anyone wondering, i Saw the Video on the BroncBuster channel, It was the wiring harness in the wheel well that was cut apparently because of the big wheels and not the Fuel pump.
Blah blah blah… don’t come up with excuses and just admit the unreliability of your though looking vehicle.
@@sbs-0055 It's hard to know what's going on until you get it on a lift man. I doubt he was lying. Just going with his best guess.
@@sbs-0055 Not my car bud, and I don't live in the US, we don't even have Broncos,
Thanks for the comment...I thought it was highly unlikely a new fuel pump would fail..had to be some other reason
Yep, rerouted the harness when I installed the mudflaps...
I love the contrast of Tom being so concerned about safety and Matt not caring at all😂
I was gonna say the same. Laughed good from the "I want rocks in my windshield" comment!
Tom is a VALUABLE asset on these recoveries, and around the shop!
the wheel fitment is the true broncbuster
Couch mechanic? LOL
@@gregchewie3059 that's plenty easy for any couch potato to see. The tire rub shredded his wiring harness.
@@gregluthy4451 couch potato? LMAO I grew up in the Rockies in northern Montana 4x4ing! Ive been running heavy equipment since 87, got out of our great Marine Corps in 82. I'm all outdoors! Haven't had a tv for many many years!
@@gregchewie3059 dude, the OP's comment was spot on and funny, don't take offense when someone replies that even the simplest of people can make out that the tire size was not correct for the body panels. if you set up all your vehicles to eat your panels at the limit for steering and suspension, then thats on you. i havent owned a tv in decades and i would never set up a dirt bike so the bars hit the tank when i turn 5 degrees. hasn't matt himself tested his limiting straps and full compress, and from that redesign his shock placement on the heavy wrecker? yes. yes he did. the real broncbuster was the fitment of those tires. take care.
@@gregchewie3059 Thank You for Your Service !
Am so glad I got my Jeep instead of the Bronco. The front ends on them seem more suited for a Mall Crawl then off road.
Love my Jeeps, but I was surprised ford didn't offer a package with a live front axle, I hate IFS, But Ford has the old twin traction beam they could have used, but they have their issues too, Oh well, Jeep still rules!!
Tom and Matt have proven on countless occasions they are as trail recovery certified as their Corvair. Heck an ambulance themed rig would look good out there. Keep wheeling!
Having on board air would be awesome in cases like this. Airing up the tires seems like it could've helped with steering ease.
Matt seems tired. Our guy deserves a vacation.
he’s living the vacation man
A man's dream is to have a job that he doesn't need a vacation from, I think Matt has succeeded at acquiring that job. He has a vacation after every recovery and it starts with his victory pie and ends with his next call and I think he enjoys that a lot; I would anyway and I love my job as well.
Your trippin
Yes hé does
You never work a day in you life you enjoy what you do. He's living his dream. His vacation is in his back yard. But yea matt go see the keys.
That's the 2nd Bronco recovery you've had that I have seen...for as much as they sell for...their steering and front end components sure don't appear ver beefy for off road use...
Another great recovery with TomTom..
Bronco is the new RZR!
Ya I agree. They are junk.
They are a mall crawler.
Ment for middle age women.
Like the h2 and h3 were.
@It's The Sun that's exactly what I was thinking 😆
Did you catch the part where the guy said that he had already replaced the fuel pump once?
This was happening on the raptors as well.
Thanks Tom Tom for being who you are and making Matt nervous. He needs it :D
These Broncos ain't looking to hot. Demo Ranch gets one with an oil leak. An then this one lol. Great video Matt. Thanks for the content
The new Ford Bronco sure seems the new towing gold mine.
I'd rather build an old school Bronco than own one of the new ones. It would be more reliable and much cheaper.
People are just starting to realize these are not your grandpa's 60s Ford. Ford today builds completely trash to include the bronco.
It's just people that don't know how to off-road thinking they can buy the big tough truck and do whatever with no consequences.
The old Bronco that's still alive was driven by someone that understood its limitations and drove accordingly.
Trouble is so are the new Jeeps. They are built for looking good in the driveway and WiFi. You can watch a show while you are waiting for a tow!
@@PeteHemdem Ten year old 4 Runner with factory TRD.
Always love seeing the Morrvair in action.
Right? Morrvair is a gem, ngl if I come to A Lot of money, imma do Matt an offer he can't refuse for it. Such sweet lines.
Tom’s half throttle skills vs Matt’s full throttle brute force
Love this channel
Great adjustment on your escape route. Going down the way you came in would have tough to steer that Bronco through.
Its amazing really; I would've thought adding graphics would make that bronco trail ready...😁😁
Great video guys....Tom Tom done a great pullin also....great cam shots....thanks for sharing this with us
It is really cool that people are able to create new products for a brand new Bronco market. I'm not sure if it helps or hurts their cause that Broncos don't appear to be particularly capable vehicles. "An Escape with a roll cage" as someone here put it a few days ago.
It looks like a money hole
I had a neighbor in the early 1970s who did a lot of work on his property that involved driving his 1969 Bronco, with the 302, through the woods and fields, and sometimes out across a high section of the marsh, at low tide. Needless to say, I tagged along as much as possible. It just blew my mind. It is hard to explain how different cars and tires were back then. I had two full sized Broncos for a long time, plowed with them, used them in the woodlot, took them on long trips on logging roads, and they were great, too, until the salt got them. I hope that the modern Bronco turns out to be as good. I am sure that it is much more capable, but it looks like it has a lot of electronics, which seems like more things to potentially go wrong, right in the middle of a trip or job. I wish there was stilled a stripped, simple, capable 4 X 4 out there that normal people could afford. I kept my 2004 Wrangler 2dr Unlimited on the road as long as I could - no power locks, no power windows, no nothing. I would still be driving that, if the salt (and plowing) didn't eventually catch up with it. No matter how much you wash the things, the salt finds places to go to work, where I live.
Matt: “Where would you like me to tow you?”
Customer: *proceeds to tell life story*
Sounds like my wife on a yes or no question!
Oh let the guy have his moment. He looked like he probably had a raging boner the moment his fuel pump failed and he got to call Matt.
That’s why Matt took a seat haha
Can't remember theater time I saw Matt sit down on a recovery.
Great rescue by Matt and Tom.
Great job getting the Bronco out. Thanks for sharing.☺️☺️☺️👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Been watching you for a awhile, I grew up on all of you guys, but I'm amazed at how Tomtom is such a sweet and kind guy. I mean, you all have a sweet aura, but Tomtom never stop to amaze me. Keep it up guys ! Hope we will see more Ted soon, weather is not the same without him.
Great recovery, guys!
You can just tell that Matt is I good person and it makes me happy to watch someone who is as good of a guy as Matt.
he made tom walk to the driver side to lock in the hub :(
That’s the shotgun riders job. Get out lock hubs open gates and what ever else that comes up.
@@Staindsoul16 Yeah that was weird, he could've at least done his own side
TomTom and Matt reminds me of what a friend said one time we loaded a trailer in a very akward place. He said we would never finish if I was in charge, and we would have damaged the heavy lathe and the car if he was in charge. Together was just perfect.
So Matt, Very interesting to watch a 60 year old custom built machine drag out a New High Dollar ‘Trail’
Rig that broken down. I met you and the Crew in Pigeon Forge. The
Morvair is a truly amazing Rig.
It seems to perform its needed task almost effortlessly. Your vision for this Vehicle, the Banana and certainly the Wrecker is truly first rate. I enjoy seeing your Sons and their lovely Mother all involved in your Chosen Work. Keep up the great Spirit with which you go thru your day helping others.
Bless You and your Family!
You won't convince me that modern cars have improved until you can change a fuel pump and sender without dropping the the tank, I had a 91 escort wagon that we just cut a hole in the floor with a nibbler to replace the lock ring and seal
Good team work from all. It seems to work out better when you talk out your options and Tom Tom is a great safety guy fir the team
Tom is the man. Seems so likeable and friendly. A cherub like demeanor, but also very nuanced and skilled. Great asset.

Awesome Video !! Always excited to see new ones when I get home from work !!
That bronco looks pretty new for the fuel pump to go out .
Yep, the new Bronco have a lot of issues, the main one is in the engine.
it seems many Broncos get pulled out of Utah trails. New Jeeps and new Broncos seem to have a reliability issue.
@@karlschwaber9568 new everything has issues. The new trucks are riddled with electrical problems and are way over complicated. I’m not buy anything newer than ‘06.
Reminds me of a saying: "I don't know where we're going, but we're making great time!" Edit: After watching their video, I knew you had better footage of this recovery. Team effort made this one much easier.
Reminds me of the saying "Where are we going, and why are we in this handbasket!?"
team work makes the dream work lol
The more you struggle the more fun the videos are to watch. Unfortunate but true. This was a fun to watch recovery
Some of the struggle is engineered for the videos like for example the running in two-wheel drive, I suspect one of the reasons is because it makes for good content (I don't think that's the main reason though) and then the throttling thing. That's just Tom being safe which is going to come regardless of if it's a CZcams video or not. But I do agree with the struggle makes it more fun. And I like the videos where Matt does entire recoveries and two wheel because why not?
Thanks for sharing 👍😀
Special shout out to Ford and the new Broncos for all the great content 😅
🤣
This was because of the idiot owners modifications that cut the wire harness. Has nothing to do with Ford.
@Leggo My Ego
I agree... you'd have to be super special to own one of these. I wouldn't call them stupid, though, cause that's just plain rude. Anyone who buys a Ford is supporting local business owners who have to rescue and / or repair them. Shout out to all Ford owners, they're the REAL heros!
@@Springfield-1903 LOL, I own a Bronco, been on these trails every week for 20K miles, no issues. The issues arise from guys like these that modify their vehicles without knowing what they're doing. Same thing happens with Jeeps, but for some people special people like you have a weird hatred of Ford and therefore judge them from a different and absurd standpoint. When the failures are due to the bad modifications that the users make, that's not on the manufacturer.
@Leggo My Ego
I don't have a hatred of Ford! It's their owners I have a problem with as they think they're the best thing since the washing machine. And they're not. I've been working on vehicles for 27 years and I basically dislike ALL manufacturers for the shenanigans they're guilty of. They ALL try to force owners into the dealership for repairs by employing several different strategies. Ford though, of all the domestic manufacturers is by far the best at it. Pull the cab to change a glow plug??? It's totally ridiculous. Built Ford tough means that they've intentionally designed them to be tough to work on.
Sorry to offend your Ford fanboy sensibilities.
Yall make that look a lot easier than it really is. Love your content.
It's a good thing Tom was there to throw some doubt into the plan. Finding that road to go out on was much easier then trying to go back the way they came.
Great content 👍 guys thanks for sharing.
damn these Bronco's are doing the front splits left and right...
Bronco customization is in its infancy. They’ll find a lot of Nickel & Dime replacement items as they move into off-road capabilities. Great looking outfits just a lot of cheap stuff to replace with trail rated items.
If you replace all of the drivetrain you'd have a trail-worthy rig. Like they do with Jeeps! LOL
I like the video perspective around the 2:10 mark just before hitting the big rock. I could see and feel how much the truck was slanting and how much it was throwing you around the cab. I felt like I was there with you.
Sir hi I am deeply appreciated your COOL personality to overcome this tough atmosphere n condition. You are great 👍
Hey Matt can't wait to see what the next big back story will be with you and the gang. The Wrecker Games were great, going to be hard to beat!
Lizzy's ride must be next!

Well played Matt! Watched this recovery last week on broncbusterx. Those 2 broncos could have easily recovered themselves without your help. They used you for traffic to their channel! Not cool. What a tool!
You and Tom as always did an excellent recovery, but I could see on your face you knew what was up. Love all you and your team does.
Seems these broncos break a lot. Tie rods, fuel pumps, electrical issues, for what they cost not good.
Do you really think If Matt couldn’t turn the wheel my wife could? 😅😂
Awesome job Matt. Great video, Carry On Sir!
Really enjoy when Matt knows the capability of his vehicles and ask do you know what drive he's in .
Great camera work 👍👍👍
Another excellent job you guys!
I've enjoyed the wrecker build and games. Good recovery y'all !
Hey! Good morning everybody! Thumbs UP to Matt and crew! 👀👍👀
I started the video and about 5 min in the ad break was for Sunoco. I just had to laugh 😂 ... Love what you guys (and girls) do.
Great find on the level zero road out of there. I was cringing thinking of the two steep rock climb spots you did on the way up. New bronco might look like the rodeo Paul pulled up the hill in the wrecker games 😅😅
And that is why you don't put big tires in a stock fender well.
(edit) I have now watched where the sway bar is broke. I take back some of my vitriol, but not all of it...
I enjoy the videos you guys put out. I'm always amazed at how you all handle the recoveries. Not sure if this has been suggested before, or if there is a need for it really, but if you had a small drone you could use it as recon in instances like this to find the path of least resistance and a good recovery route. All the best!
only thing is the drones dont have the range to be of much use.
@@goodbyemr.anderson5065 Ask Tom how useful it would have been after he ran up to the top of that hill. A drone would be immensely useful for scouting routes and spotting customers.
@goodbyemr.anderson5065 DJI drones have ranges of 2.5 to 4.5 miles. Sounds pretty significant to me.
They've used one in the past for videos.
Most of Utah is federally controlled, where it is illegal to operate a drone. There are a number of other issues, but that is the main one.
Good to know things haven’t changed lol. I had a ‘91 full size Ford Bronco that went through 3 fuel pumps in 185k miles… I felt like I replaced everything on that vehicle including engine and trans multiple times. A shame, because those were awesome looking and could mid-tier off-road out the lot.

At times like these it's good to have a drone to find your customer, though I love the adventure of the unknown, traveling new trails, thanks guys!
Height restrictions on drone flights limit their usefulness. The drone must also be visible to the operator. Finally, the operator has to pass an FAA exam.
@@roberthudson1959 Hahaha I have never heard of anyone following a single one of those rules
Ford Bronco fuel pump going out already? Isnt that a bit early? or normal for offroading?
Matt's never even seen this trail & was like yep. We got this! 💪
Tom deserves a raise!! Huge asset to the company. I forgot how the heavy wrecker only seats two, that’s unfortunate when a lot of the time the crew is more than two. However they also tend to tow it in. Ok LOL just forget about this entire comment LOL
Tyres look great do they fit when you turn . " nope" . Great job 👏
I think a level would be nice to see on your dash so we the viewer might get a better sense of your angles. Thanks for the great videos
I would love to hear a recap of how the various vehicle's windows were cracked. Particularly the front windshield of the wrecker as I don't recall seeing that explained.
MORRvair is still an absolute Beast Matt, great truck all round. Thank You for showing up my Fords with your Chevy.
You are in my prayers
Hoka Hey
It's a beast, but pretty much a dedicated trail rig. It takes a lot of engineering to refine a 4WD vehicle for public use.
You guys are the BEST overall CZcams Watching Videos!!! Keep up the GREAT work!
PS.... how's ED doing? I miss him!
1:54 indeed it is Tom. As a driver of only 2wd trucks I'm surprised you made it that far in the sand.. must be aired down great tires and combined with keeping momentum in the right spots...2wd takes some skills offroad
In a way, attempting technical trails in 2WD tears them up with excessive wheel spin. Some trails in Colorado request being in 4WD.
In another video I think they said they keep the morvair tires at 6 psi
Matt next time you need to flat tow a bronco its easy if its manual press in the clutch and turn vechicle in accessory mode if its automatic push in the brake do the same. Go into settings and go to neutral tow. Also make sure you are in 2h in 4wd.
Great video thank you!
Awesome job I love them Broncos
That bronco look cool and all but either needs a bigger lift or smaller tires
It needs a solid front axel
IFS is not made for this
Ford just needs to realize 40s are the new 37s and make the wheel wells accordingly.
Man, this show is addictive. The adventures never end!
Broncbuster guys are some good ones!
Matt thank you for doing this video. I watched it because of the Bronco in it. I like watching you do what you do by figuring thing out. I know you have to do a lot of talking type for most people. I like to see how the sausage is made
Fun part of that bronco is it has TWO fuel pumps, one in tank and one high pressure on the engine. Double the fun.
Same with the turbo Wranglers
@@mediocreman2 and nearly every other car made nowadays, almost everything has direct injection
Bet it's the computer shutting down the fuel pumps because it "sensed" an accident.
@@jeffhutchins7048 well they also showed at one point that the LF tire was rubbing a harness. Not sure if the fuel pump wires run in that area or not
Double the failures. It seems the tire rubbed a bundle of wires. Great place for wires in the wheel well. LOL
BroncoBuster or Broncobusted? Big tires are a good way to cut the harness in the wheel wells. Did Ford offroad these before production?
You inspired me to go with a set of patigonias, and so far in the light snow they do amazing! For 200 a tire they are well worth the money!
Just food for thought. Up here in Alberta we like to cut a small hinged hatch in the floor above the fuel pump. Easy peasey. Cheers 😉
Get ready to see way more broncos on this channel
I was looking for this comment. So many videos on other channels with these things failing. Seems this isn’t made for anything other than asphalt?
Built Ford tough, yeah right haha.
Been looking for 1 to LS swap.
Makes me happy seeing those rigs break in half. Solid fronts are the way to go (unless you have a ton of $ and a buggy)
Considering the fuel pumps on the 2.7L fails within the first 10,000kms, I think you may be right. It's all over the forums. Ford had 67 recalls in 2022, on 8 million vehicles. Easily, twice as much as any competitor.
It’s amazing how many brand new Ford Broncos they have had to rescue recently.
You have a ton of people that never wheeled in their life that bought a Bronco because it was the cool thing at the time then you have this guy that isn't the first Bronc he's Busted :(
@@rydfreeNot built beefy enough for extreme conditions maybe. Aftermarket will solve the issues shortly I’d think.
Still a new vehicle that people haven't figured out all of the quirks yet and what to reinforce when aftermarket modifications are done. In this case the wheels were too big and damaged the wiring harness for the fuel pump.
Built Ford "tough"
@@mediocreman2 It was a cut wire during other modifications and not the pump from what I've read elsewhere.

Lots of Broncos being recovered. Red flag to me.
Not a red flag, it's volume. Remember there were 175,000 pre-orders for these dating back to July 2020. As these things continue to roll off the assembly line, you're going to be slammed with hundreds of them on the roads...and a strong percentage of them off-road...in Hurricane... breaking tie-rods :)
The fact that it's american made garbage wasn't a red flag in of itself? LMao. Buy toyota if you want reliability

Same thing as with the side by sides, less experienced people buying something and driving it hard. Though if this is really a fuel pump failure, it’s a little more suspicious.
