Given to a friend isn't quite "sold". The German comedian Otto Waalkes sold his '64 strat to the guitarist of udo Lindenberg band and bought it back decades later. I don't know why I'm writing on this :D but... I mean he would've never sold it on reverb or something
Some musicians actually don't get emotionally attached to all their instruments! Especially pros who've toured tons and used/owned tons of quality gear - ultimately they're all tools for their profession. A carpenter selling their "classic" "vintage" hammer makes sense if they've got another one they just prefer using. Not me though, I'm a gear-hoarding goblin.
That's kinda strange because in the 2nd picture of Pike it has four tophat knobs and the first picture he has the tophat on the treble missing the cap and the gold volume speed knobs but in the second all of them have perfect top hats
@@DoesItDoom nice, just how I like ‘em 🤘 thanks! I have a 94 small guard cherry and it’s really thin and I can’t get used to it. I love the solid medium C
Thats a prize to behold. Im glad you have it in your possession.
No kidding- Good on you, man. May it serve you well. Hat-tip to both of you.
Thanks, man. Incredible SG.
Wow, thats incredible man! Ive always wanted to know what they did with their Green amps, especially the ones used on Dopesmoker.
Cant quite understand how a person could sell such a guitar
I'm thankful to be its chosen caretaker.

It's more given because this dude has created a whole thing with woodrite and first act and all that. It has a solid homestead now
Cash money
America's Greatest Stoner-Doom Icon
Perhaps, the World's Greatest
I don't know who that is, but that is the PERFECT name for that guitar.
Brother, its Matt Pykes guitar...
Like Sleep, high on fire ... bro
Unless you can separate art from artist, probably for the better.
@@solosabbath8940 that quote or whatever is for when an artist is praised/hated for their personal life.
People like mike for music
Thats so sick man! I bet it sounds tough 💯🔥
Such a sick guitar man
Thats so cool man. 👍🏻 Happy for you...and a little bit jealous🤣
Follow the smoke to the riff filled land.
Rings on a neck, cool wear
Why does it have different volume knobs because the original had gold speed knobs in the volume position when Matt Pike played it

Nothing too strange. He changed the knobs a few times.
This is the last show he ever played with it. High on Fire - Hell In The Harbor 2023 - czcams.com/video/muuP5W6_80w/video.htmlsi=tP0Yn-fkj-jEv9TA
Tommy Victor from Prong in this old live vid is using the same but with 3 pickups:

How’s the neck shape? Is it much thinner or is there some beef? Thanks and congratulations on your acquisition 🤘🤘
Some beef. Solid Medium C.
