- The Catholic Church highlights the seven most important virtues as the theological virtues and the cardinal virtues.
A virtue is an habitual and firm disposition to do the good. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1803)
A virtue is a habit, trait, behavior, or quality that is morally good.
There are three theological virtues and four cardinal virtues.
3 Theological Virtues + 4 Cardinal Virtues = 7 Virtues
The Theological Virtues
These three virtues are gifts from God. They are not learned or practiced independently from God.
The theological virtues are:
1. Faith (Belief)
2. Hope (Trust)
3. Charity (Love)
St. Paul expressed these three virtues in his letter to the Corinthians:
"And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13)
The Cardinal Virtues
The four cardinal virtues are shared with the world of philosophy. The word "cardinal" means "hinge." These are the four virtues upon which all other human virtues are hinged. These virtues are the foundational of all other human virtues. These are human virtues because they are ideals we can aspire to through education and disciplined practice.
The cardinal virtues are:
1. Prudence (Wisdom)
2. Fortitude (Courage)
3. Temperance (Self-control)
4. Justice (Fairness)

Thank you. I really appreciate your work!
God Bless you teacher! You helped my sister and I so much during our Bible study. For a week now, we haven't understood the difference between faith and hope. Then while reading Peter's second letter, he wrote about virtues and we were so lost again. You've taught us so much in such a short and easy to understand video. Thank you!!!
Thank you for making this easy & fast. I am sharing it far & wide.
Amen 🙏 May God be with us all for all of eternity
Thanks. God bless

They don’t wanna teach u this
You have to learn it ur self

Where do you find the virtues of modesty and chastity?
what about patience ?
Faith isn’t believing in god but knowing as a fact he is there…at least to me and the difference between us as the angels is that we can only believe in god but they have faith in his
Faith and hope seem kind of redundant. I would argue that hope is a kind of aristotelian golden mean between it's deficiency, despair, and it's excess, faith.
Why do thou say thou, whoever thou are, say that? I say atleast if thou care to know who thou are, who thou are matters, and perhaps I care to some degree to know who thou are, but at the same time I myself am not promising to remember who thou are for thee while thou do almost nothing thyself to remember who thou are for some indefinite period of time which a person, atleast in theory and perhaps not only in theory, would need done for oneself if one was not doing so oneself.
God bless you all as well as your families! I would like to say to repent of your sins and to not worship any idol, for the Lord says not to (Exodus 20:4-6, verses below)! Know to worship the Lord ONLY and to not worship any type of idol, for the idol didn’t die for your sins, Jesus did! Anyways God bless you all! ❤️
Exodus 20:4-6
4 “You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. 5 You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected-even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me. 6 But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love me and obey my commands.
Did you read EXODUS 1,2,and 3.
Without Faith you cannot have Hope 0r Chairity. ??
These do not match with what is listed in scripture: 2 Peter 1:5-7
I have faith that God exists and hope in Jesus Christ. Charity ? I`ve given away all I earned in a day to a lass that told me she`d been begging all day and not been given a penny. That was my day`s wage well spent.
I fail miserably in fortitude. I have to agree with eveyone that talks to me for lack of courage to contradict the proposition. It seems to me that justice is another form of fortitude.
What is temperance ? Is it a contol of ones appetites ?
Similar to means in Aristotelian thoughts ?
philosophy visen: we envision to give a holistic avality education leading to a pevsond integvetion of the catholic faiph and moval and every day lines and heroic pursuit of christian jivtues with the of giving all the glory god
i love god
