The big problem here. Is you cant choose an opponent in action example, seth rollins and finn balor rivalry, and i want to set a match between rollins vs damien priest. And the cut scene should be finn will help damien. That wont happen because 2k will give you a random opponent, like reggie, angelo dawkins. Etc

There is a work around for this, although it is super time consuming and annoying.. you have to delete every other superstar on the roster or book them all in a match to get the person you want to show up in the match for the cutscene. It’s obnoxious but the only way I’ve been able to make the matches I want work with the cutscenes I want
How do you even get it to have them face a random opponent? Every time I've done anything with rivarlies in universe it has them face one another every damn show. So frustrating.
What I hate is tag tea rivalry matches always ending up being changed to single matches unless it’s a ppv

Hey Beach, thanks for the content. Your videos have made my experience with this game way better. Do you know if changing the match type during a PLE for example switching a rivalry match from a normal match to a cage match break the rivalry like in 2k22? It is always hard for me to tell because most of the time it seems like my rivalry's don't end until I simulate it on a PLE.
That's Awesome, changing it up messes with it some, depending on the storyline of the rivalry, but now where as bad as 22 did
I like how you can pick the cutscenes, but I have to look away from the screen, because I still want some sort of surprise as to what's gonna happen. Thats why I liked Smackdown vs Raw 2011 Universe mode and WWE 12 Universe Mode. It was completely unpredictable.
I'll have to look into the extended rivalry one. I remember I had Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart fued for half the year. Kurt Angle and Undertaker had a super long fued too.

What annoys the hell out of me is there is no longer an option to edit your rivalry matches or opponents. Or even a something like in SDVR GM mode a rivalry in place of a match. So you can keep the rivalry going without it getting stale doing the same match every week.. it’s also infuriating that they got rid of the ability to interfere in matches. Oh well. We get to choose our cutscenes now I guess

i noticed when a rivalry cutscene is in a match, the option slider tend to default and not keep what you have saved. Is there a work around for this? (for pc idk about the actual conslues)
You nailed it on the head when you said it can be overwhelming. I think more than anything, I’m having trouble managing so many rivalries. When you play through, do you play through each show individually or do you simulate to the PLE/PPV?
I play each show, or i do a universe with just one show a week and play the 4 rivalry matches then the ple

so my issue that im having is that my card gets flooded with one on one normal matches and occasionally two on two normal tag matches when i have rivalries.. how do i make custom match tables for rivalries that actually work?
Hey dude, do you know what determines title shots? I have a champion whose 12th in the power rankings (assumed he'd be higher being the top tier) and he had a defense against someone who was 26th in the PR but they'd never encountered eachother before the PPV title match.
it depends on who in the ranking is in a rivalry or already booked doing something on the show when it selects the match

Quick question how to find out how many weeks you have in a rivalry in universe mode??
great breakdown. one question, how does the length of rivalries work? are they all predetermined to end in 4 weeks? does the rivalry intensity have anything to do with the length of the rivalries? My community and i are in shambles. please help!
Short rivalries are 4 weeks medium rivalries are 8 weeks long rivalries are 12 weeks it is determined when you set the strength of the rivalry in the menu

Problem that im having with the rivalry system is that if i turn on automatic rivalry and i have an empty rivalry section.. the first 4 single or double matches will automatically become a rivalry... Do you have any idea how to fix this aside from turning off auto rivalry option in the settings?
the 1st 4 will always be rivals thats how the did the system this year
The weeks don't seem to matter. Rivalries always end at PLE. All rivalries end unless I change the rivalry action manually.
My rivalries that I set up keep getting deleted and automatically replaced with different rivalries is there a way to stop and fix this

When I do loser leaves town superstar is still on my roster, and when I do injuries superstar is not injured, rivalries keep extending each month. What should I do?

I got so annoyed about the system where it would just constantly have 1 on 1 match ups between those rivals all the time. Now I have no rivalries in any slots. I just write the rivalries downand then manually add the cutscenes in before. By having no rivalry set up it gives you access to nearly all the cutscenes.
Currently in my all Women's rivalry i have a few storylines going on. Asuka and Becky Lynch are fighting it out in the run up to Backlash for the WWE Women's title. Bayley and Rhonda are fighting it out for a shot at the Women's World title to which at Backlash it'll be Bayley, Rhonda and Rhea. Lacey Evans has fought Shotzi for a shot as the Women's US title which piper shall defend at Backlash. Alexa Bliss is in a fued with Natalya for the Intercontinental title. Sonya Devil and Mia Yim are also involved in this storyline with Sonya helping Natalya and Mia helping Alexa. After Alexa defends her title Sonya shall betray Natalya and gain a shot at the title and at Hell in a Cell, it'll be a Fatal Fourway for the title. Pretty Deadly (Carmella, Queen Zelina with Maryse as their manager) fueded with Liv and Raquel and shall have a shot at the tag titles at Backlash.
Also Piper and Nikki A.S.H. are in a team called Retribution. For the coming months their single matches shall get stage interuptions of Valhalla's music. Eventually Valhalla shall appear and have a handicap match against Piper and Nikki. When she wins she'll take over the group as faction leader and shall target all tagteams and settleold scores i.e. with Liv Morgan.
If you take off automatic rivalries, it wont add each 1 on 1 or tag team match into the rivalry system. Also if you keep at least 1 slot open for the rivalry system, you can see cutscenes in each match thats possible. Only thing is only 3 rivalries can have proper endings on PPV.
So I’m assuming to have a rivalry action to occur, the two participants must be in a match together? For example if Roman and Jey are in a rivalry but I have a match like Jey vs Solo, can I still set a rivalry action between Jey and Roman?
I just don’t want to have a match between Jey and Roman every week.
You can with other people, it just depends on what storyline you use some are every week and other they never wrestle each other till the ppv

The rivalry action doesn’t show up when I set a match between Jey vs Solo. I just would like to know if it’s possible for Roman to show up and interfere or like make a distraction, etc.

The worst part about it is that the rivalry ends on a regular match instead of a specialty match.
On my PLE I changed the matches to specialty types and then added the rivalry ender action but the rivalries continued after the PLE.

it will give you a random one, based on who is already doing something on the show at the time of the rivalry

Is it anyway to use your allies in universe mode because random wrestlers come out in your rivalries
if all allies are on the same show and not booked at all on that nights card your having a match "example your in a one on one rivalry otis vs mace on raw, make sure gable and mansoor are not doing anything on the show and are on the raw roster' now just insert who you are using and they should start popping up, depending on the story you currently playing

@@Wrestlology well I did add a rivalry in the rivalry section, it brung some rivalry actions up, than I went and removed the rivalry, and than I could add actions to all the matches, BUT I haven’t went to the next show yet because I had to work so I’ll find out today if it just worked for that one show or if it’ll carry over to the other shows.
Yes, what worked for me was just simulating the whole show and the next show should be fixed
What I did was switch the mode to superstar mode then switch back to classic
Why when you set a match In Universe Mode then set a rivalry action I then go into the match and the opponent changes to someone completely random
It's the storyline that you picked it involves someone else

@@BeachBytes I do I have them set to if this person wins they rise in power rankings etc or if this person wins they rise in title rankings. Then after the ppv it goes to the next raw and the rivalries are still active unless I delete them.
