The 80s... What could have happened in my life better than these ten years? And what time can repeat them? It was a time of genius in the simple and professional in the little things... Yes, I mean the music of the 80s. .. Why is she special? I'm not looking for an answer to this question, I'm just glad I caught that great time.

so many great songs... in 1987 there were songs in german, english, french and italian on the german charts - how cool is that ❤🧡there re so many rediscoveries... one song at 33:11 tops it - Pete Bardens - In dreams.❤💚💙💜🖤. what a milestone in electronic music was this... years ahead of its time - and only in Germany this song entered the charts.. hope a new generation rediscovers this song

Merci becaup Francis! You make another great video of Germany charts. For my opinion 1987 is not a big year like 1986. However it was very good year with many beautiful hits. I have a great memories of many of these songs. 1987 was a very succesuful year for artists like : Pet Shop Boys, Bon Jovi, Whitney Houston, U2 Michael Jackson, Depeche Mode, Madonna, A-ha, George Michael, Jennifer Rush, Den Harrow, Cliff Richard, Samantha Fox, Beastie Boys, Billy İdol, Sabrina, Rick Astley, Bananarama, Sandra, Whitesnake, Erasure, Bonnie Bianco, Spagna, Fleetwood Mac, John Farnham, Bryan Adams, the Bee Gees, C. C. Catch, Desireless, The Hooters, Terence Trent D'Arby, Sinitta, Joe Cocker, Guesch Patti and Johnny Logan. 👍✌️✌️

Where do i begin emotions happy and sad I Had The Time Of My Life, halfway heart of my era 85-89.This year 1987 excellent class brilliant Francis when to start or say loads of Covers lots of 60s and Rock n Roll came back on the Charts likewise Hot Chocolate a few of their Songs got reborn and their Frontman Errol Brown had his big Solo Hit.Don Johnson and Miami Vice were rolling with Songs his and his show.I thought Oh Yeah was 85 and Islands a nice duet peaked at 41 but stayed on the Charts 15weeks that's cool and Sabrina is a very Hot Girl.I miss it so much but hail it as part of the greatest decade of all time never to forget miss it so much oh hail the 80s

Thank you for this video. I was looking forward to this one. 35 years already! I don't get the love for 'Reality' - just seems an ordinary ballad sorry. That aside, a very strong year for music. Shocked 'Don't Get Me Wrong' wasn't a big hit there. 'Shake You Down' a classic. 'Miracle of Love' is one of the most underrated songs by the Eurythmics. Absolutely beautiful. I love 'Carrie'. Prefer that to 'The Final Countdown' out of their big hits. Wonderful stadium rock ballad. 'You're The Voice' is a classic. 'The Right Thing' one of Simply Red's underrated songs. 'Respectable' sums up a perfect slice of 80s pop. That Mandy Smith song is very good 'I Just Can't Wait'. She's not the best singer, but it is a great song. Glad to see some love for Madge's 'La Isla Bonita'. Five weeks at the summit and well deserved. 'I Love My Radio' somewhat of a dance hit back then and catchy. 'Live It Up' is a fun song. I always think of 'Crocketts Theme' being used in a bank advert here run the UK. 'Lets Wait A While' is one of my fave Janet Jackson ballads. So romantic. Glad to see love for Whitney with five weeks at #1 for a dancefloor classic. 'City Lights' is an amazing Italo track. 'Hold Me Now' one of the best Eurovision winners ever. You can't beat Samantha Fox. She might be a weak singer, but made some good pop songs. 'Alone' 18th - come on! I was surprised the Jennifer Rush and Elton duet was never big here. Wonderful pop song and great voices that gel. Good to see Pet Shop Boys get some love there. Not much love for the Beastie's there - guess they're an album artists in Germany. 'I Just Can't Stop Loving You' - beautiful. My favourite. I love Terence Trent Darby. I guess we were the only country that liked 'Nothings Gonna Change My Love For You'. We all know why the Sabrina song was a hit (even if it is catchy). 'Songbird' is rather beautiful. Good to see some Alexander O'Neal here too. I think every nation had Rick Astley number one. 'Bad' a classic. 'You Win Again' deservedly a big hit. Can't beat the Bee Gees. 'Little Lies' a favourite. I like experimental Eurthymics. 'Beethoven' is rather cool. Even Cliff Richard was pretty listenable in this era! 'China In Your Hand' amazing. Joint fave. Many good songs that year. So much to list, and I have wrote a lot!
The multiple versions still prominent, but not as dominant as previous years. The Eurovision song from Wind and the runner-up in the German heats by Maxi and Chris Garden both made the chart! The former came second in the contest and had as part of its backing group Rob Pilatus who sadly died in 1998 and was a member of Milli Vanilli. The third place entry in Eurovision 'Gente Di Mare' also a minor hit. Quite a fair bit of schlager and Italo but you're seeing more mainstream music outside the German borders get more attention. Bring on 1988!

What a wild mix. And so many retro songs, unlike the previous years. I had no idea that Dalbello was in the German charts - but no trace of Gianna Nannini's "Bello e impossible" in either 1986 or 87?! Mind you, I'll take Alice instead, too ( _Park Hotel_ is a pretty good album).
Right now, my fave is still '86.

I'm just a little bit confused about Dieter Bohlen and Modern Talking. Because the chart entry from Blue Systems (alias Dieter Bohlen) with "Sorry little sarah" was before the chart entry from Modern Talking "In 100 years"??? I didn't know that the first single from Dieter Bohlens Solo-Projekt "Blue System" was before the last single from Modern Talking.

No you want love (maria) from mixed emotions? It was a number 1 hit in the Netherlands, also no Papa Chico from Tony Esposito? Which is a bit strange to me, and Germany really didn't liked UB 40 lol. Great video though, really love this year!!!

Merci Francis! For me it was a mediocre year in comparison to the level set by 1983, 1984 or even 1989. A mixture of styles was fantastic though, especially 29:54 in between Rick Astley and Sam Fox. Hello siblings 19:55 and 26:33! Nice to refresh memory of 31:05 and 11:31, one-time shots, but how clever they were. On the negative side - 4:58 how big they were to create "No More Heroes", "Peaches" "Golden Brown", how shockingly they failed in the second half of the 80s......
