Good list. Nice that you considered some good pop albums. Always amazes me that some people have a narrow view of rock.

What a fantastic selection! It inspired me (15 years old back then) to dig out old records that I hadn't listened to for ages. Thank you for this pleasure, you've made my Friday night! 👍

    They were bloody brilliant.
    #1 Song in Heaven.

Interesting list. I'm not a big rock fan and thus haven't heard 85% of the albums listed, but agree with many of your top 20 choices.
I think these deserve tp be in the top 95: Scorpions - In Trance; Moxy - self titled; Skyhooks - Ego Is Not A Dirty Word

Nice one! Glad to see Bad Co, Led Zep, and BTO in the top 10. Also glad to know you like Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top. We do love our "southern fried rock" here in North Carolina!😍👍😎

I really love Lynyrd Skynyrd and
      ZZ Top.
These are one of the best bands that perform southern rock and that brought a certain flavor to rock music.
About ZZ Top is an extraordinary group that originally combined southern rock with blues and hard rock.
As always, thank you for your meaningful comment!!!🥁🎸🎤✌️

THIN LIZZY weren't big in the U.S.A. yet here they are #22 on the list.
Up until Phil Lynott's untimely death, THIN LIZZY were a great Rock Band.
They graced our shores a few times in Australia.
We punched our fists in the air and yelled with approval at their legendary concerts.
    Great Band.
Pronounce the Band name with an Irish accent 'Tin Lizzy'
"Tonight there's going to be a Jailbreak, somewhere in this town"
    "Breakout!!!"
    Rock on with Thin Lizzy

    Ian Hunter at #31
When the Guitar was invented it was for "Once Bitten Twice Shy" by Ian Hunter.
    "Allo"
Ian Hunter and Mott the Hoople had a huge Hit with Bowie's "All the Young Dudes"

    AC/DC at 56 is a decent entry.
    Steely Dan are cool.
Pilot & The Rubettes are a bit fun, but they're not better than Bands you've left out of the list.
Styx, Journey and Rush are Bands neither me or Australia are interested in, they don't Chart or get airplay.
Grand Funk Railroad had a huge Hit with "Locomotion" in Australia. It was cleverly produced and to me it was a lot of fun.
    10cc are pure class.
OMG!!! Considering that the U.S.A. and Canada totally ignored STATUS QUO after 1968, I'm shocked and surprised to see "On The Level" in at #32 on your personal chart.
I'd be very keen to know how you were made aware of the album.
STATUS QUO were massive everywhere in the World except for the U.S.A. and Canada.
"On The Level" peaked at #2 in Australia in 1975.
Checkout the long version of "Down Down" on the album.
I have watched the Evolution of STATUS QUO from the 60's Psychedelic Rock to the Stoner Rock of 1970/1971 albums, through their massively successful charting albums and singles of the 70's and early 80's.
I own the 33 studio albums that the name STATUS QUO have released.
Only a couple of them are of poor quality, due to them experimenting.
You won't meet more biased fans than a QUO fan.
We don't think, we know that they are the best Rock Band in history.
In the early/ mid 80's they lost 2 original members due to 'music differences' and cocaine abuse by Francis Rossi.
Even their new music direction picked up millions of new fans.
"On the Level" is not only one of STATUS QUO's best albums, it is one of the best albums ever made.
I read a lot of the Comments on You Tube and I've found a lot of Americans and Canadians saying "Why haven't I heard of this Band before now?" "They are awesome!!"
Not many Bands have managed to play Rock n Roll 'properly'.
STATUS QUO are one of the few that achieved to do it.
    Long Live STATUS QUO!!
RIP - Alan Lancaster & Rick Parfitt

    Uncle Frank in at #19.
People thought Frank took a lot of drugs, yet Coffee and Cigarettes were his vices.
Captain Beefheart didn't read or write music he whistled all the tunes to his Band in the studio.
They were smart enough to work out the notes.
I can't think of Frank Zappa without automatically thinking of Captain Beefheart.

You're good I'll hand you that however I'm a little surprised, know I'm a lot surprised that you didn't have Armageddon by Armageddon their debut and only album they've ever released. Supergroup from 1975 that only made one album due to singer Keith r e l f being electrocuted shortly thereafter. A true masterpiece in heavy progressive rock much better than anything Rush ever put out. I have to say I'm really surprised especially being as it's one of your list and you're usually right on on this type of thing.😊 90% great list anyway so you get a low grade A or a B+ for this effort😊

Kudos on the Hollies, Procol, and Strawbs discs. I still love The Hollies, the band's 1974 release, but Another Night is almost as good. The Journey album, though was pretty forgettable, and some of the other choices leave much to be desired. It was a good year for rock, and some of the best didn't make it onto your list.
