What I do is cut open the entire suitcase and cover the zippers from the inside with the same residue wasps make for their nest and then I place a wasp nest and seal the suitcase back up. When the zipper is open, it'll tear the up residue or wall in which wasps usually think is part of their nest and they go ape shit on whoever attacks their nest.

      Absolutely.
My father had his own troubled past, he used to steal cars, rob small stores and sell shit on the streets, before he had me.
I remember one time as a kid stealing this monthly paid magazine out of someones mailbox and giving it to him. I thought he would be happy because he loved cars.
As he looked at me handing him that magazine he almost cried, realising how I must have gotten it.
Went on a long talk about how fucked up that is, and how I should be ashamed.
      I was.
Then he took me to give the magazine back, made me ring the bell and apologise to the man I stole from.
I can’t imagine I would be growing up doing shit like that, or see him do it.
Even if your child just watches you, you are teaching him its okay to do, something we do and set him on a path of crime before his brain even finished developing.

To be fair I remember hearing from shows about the fbi a coworker who was in Iraq and videos about IEDs that things like mercury switches aren't common anymore. They would go off before reaching the target or being in range as a result people who made explosives resorted to other detonation methods, like light sensors or the ol'phone call/radio signal. So the kids reaction wouldn't be that dumb it'd be super counter productive to use a primary explosive in a bomb as it could go off any second if it feels like it.

20:56 - no, it isn't "made to do that' - that's just regular glass, and they don't treat it or cover it in case your car is submerged and you need to break the window.
The windshield is made by laminating PVB between two pieces of glass so the glass doesn't shatter and go everywhere

    • @doggie84
      @doggie84 Před měsícem +3

You're half right. Where you are wrong is that it's not just "regular glass" . It's tempered glass and it's absolutely meant to break into small blunt pieces (instead of large sharp pieces) while being simultaneously stronger than "regular" glass. The lamination process you speak of is a real thing, but costs significantly more than other windows in a car. This is why it's done in more critical places like the windshield. The windows in the back of a car can vary, but they are always made with tempered glass. Most of time they aren't laminated the same as the windshield. The lamination process is used to make the windshield much stronger than just tempered glass alone. This is done to prevent oncoming objects from penetrating the cabin, like a rock on the highway or something.

Here in france packages that cant fit in a mailbox (and all mailboxes have locks) are instead kept at the post office t be collected, and a paper slip to come collect it left in the box instead. Also when you collect they ask for proof of identity so stealing the slip is worthless.

As a native of San Francisco (I now live in a suburb not far from it) what ticks me off is the police have been refusing to deal with problems like this for decades because it's an organized operation with lots of players and taking it down means doing work. Instead when I worked in the courts I'd see whole task forces dedicated to having a couple guys who can 'look the part' walk up to idiots and pretend to offer drugs or ask to buy small amounts of street level drugs - take down the seriously stupid ultra low level offenders, and ignore complex more serious problems. And of course they focus those task forces in areas with high likelihood of black or brown offenders because juries won't ask questions and just return guilty when the defendant 'fits the profile'.
Meanwhile real issues like the thefts in these videos just go unchecked. In the video - the part where he shows where two cars were parked. One of those neighborhoods was an historically poor area where the projects used to be. But the other by the water is a wealthy area. The police ignore the issue in both.
Note how he also comments on the jacket. People who look into these things do notice that most 'real crime' in any given city is committed by a very small number of highly active actors. With some manpower - the cops could end all of this. The number of people involved is probably very small.

I have one of those hammers in my glove box .
Living in Michigan in an area where there are tons of natural ponds , creeks , in land lakes , there's a chance my car if I get in a wreck my vehicle could end up in water .
That window being like that has saved people from drowning .

I keep one with a seatbelt cutter in my armrests in the front and back seat. We spent an evening one day showing our son how to use it on an old junk vehicle we were taking in for scrap. Hell, I even tried it out (I found it’s best to hit the bottom corner of the window and then push out with your elbow for a quick exit).
Just hoping we never have to use those things, but very handy to have. I’d rather just reach into the armrest and grab that as opposed to fiddling with the headrest like another mentioned, especially if you’re in a situation where you can’t move around much with a stuck seatbelt.

1:14 the reason why is how are they supposed to find those people? It’s a few seconds on a doorbell camera and it doesn’t work like on tv where they can run some program and find literally anyone in seconds. They didn’t do anything because all they had was a few seconds of someone wearing things on their face walk up, take a package, and walk off the driveway. There isn’t enough to go off of to find them

so for anyone curious, in the us its illegal to make a trap that can cause harm to people for the sake of catching someone doing something illegal. its the cops job even when they wont do it and taking their job gets you in trouble. fun fact, some people actually do leave dangerous boxes as if its a delivery for the sake of hurting others. i remember a story from 100 ways to die about a thief dying from anthrax or something like it due to stealing a trapped package from a judge.
if this is in cali then its less the cops wont do anything and significantly more that they cant do anything.

Sitting around with a stolen item you don't have fences to shift it to asap, just lives you holding a stolen item you can't get rid of, most devices are enabled on networks so very easy to track where it is (seen in this vid) Phones, laptops, tablets are not sold as devices, they are sold are given to people who strip them to parts (same with stolen cars) which make much more money and well the device is dust so no chance of getting ot back to owner.
