It's me again! Katharine. Today I have some language tips for you that are the opposite of what you need for small talk! Up till now I have mainly been talking about every-day English and how to communicate. In this video I show you how to express deep opinions, there's obviously more to learn but this is a great place to start! Hope you enjoy it!! :-)

Hi Katharine, Hope you are doing good. I would like to thank you for the informative videos. In today's video I got the clarity in 2 words " Having said that & in a nutshell". My business team use this often. Whenever I was trying to use this words, I got scared . Am I using appropriate words for the situation. Today's video gave me a clarity. Dear Madam, thank you so much for your wonderful lessons. I really enjoy listening to your videos whenever I get time to do so. For some reason, I prefer the British accents and would like to improve my English up to a certain standard. This week's lesson does give me some food for thought.
Radio has played an important role in people's lives throughout history. I come from a village in India and I remember my father listening to the radio all the time. We couldn't afford a television. There are still millions of people around the world without television, and some poor people cannot even afford a radio. About 990 million people do not have access to electricity and around 2 billion people around the world do not have access to clean and safe drinking water. So the radio would have an impact on people's lives for some years to come. Thank you once again

I’ve watched this video with late number 4 for Politics. “If you want to stop the conversation.” Behaviour that keep going and stop conversation before it’s ready to go. This means is to stop talking or chatting too much. In addition, everyone would get confused to understand what someone is saying with speaking too fast of all information.

In my opinion, pineapple definitely belongs on an Hawai- bread roll ,
= a toasted piece of bread with ham and cheese, usually eaten as
a quick midday meal in a cafeteria. I love it !
And we need radio in the cafeteria , as a background noise .
BTW The legendary pop group Queen made an impressive song about it - " Radio gaga ",
but to be honest, I still dont know know exactly what they are talking about in the lyrics . Maybe you can explain the lyrics of that nostalgic song some day in another video.
