Serious props to your cameraman. He does a great job of framing the shots, choosing what to zoom in on, and when. He makes you look good, and makes the guns look good. It's easy to forget that what happens in front of the camera is only 50% of what makes a good video. Well done to both of you.
His camera man is his son lol
RichCommander In that case I take it all back.
Yeah, Hickok's ability to talk and shoot well, and his sons camera work make a great combination.
+mse3700 Ain't that the truth !
Just thought about this. His son is incredible, spitting image of his father, with his incredible ability to focus on something, pickup quick, and learn shittons.
As a recent 1st time firearm owner I have learned a lot from your videos. I really appreciate the service you are doing. Thank you very much.
Me, too. I came to the 2nd Amendment through the political side. I never knew there was a shooting sports/collector culture, too. Hickok45 showed me guns weren't only a right, a duty, and a freedom worth fighting for, but are also fun!
***** Any relation to the Red Sox player?
I always look at your reviews before I buy a gun.
The vp9 is the best feeling hand gun I've ever picked up.
I have both. Agreed.
Same. It's great, especially the accuracy and I like that grip on the slide.
cgr50077 which one u can recommend me ? I have Glock 19 and is uncomfortable for me , I look for one more comfortable but I will keep my 19 :)
@@watchmanexpert the vp9, for me, just fits like a glove and is about as accurate as a laser pointer. I do like the 320, it just took some conscious work on my grip to get the same results that appeared to come along with the vp9
cgr50077 thanks!
My favorite thing about hickok45 videos is the genuine enthusiasm in his running commentary while he is shooting.
Couldn’t decide so I bought both :-). Got to say though, I’ve never shot anything as well as I do with my VP9. Hit a ~5 inch sporting clay set out at 73 yards (used a rangefinder) after the second shot attempt.
Who else comes to Hickok before making a purchase ?? Lol

Me ☝!
👍
Always
Went with the VP9 as my first firearm. Thanks Hickock. Bc of you, this is becoming my favorite hobby.
@@RellyMedia love the gun. Feels great in my big hands. Not gonna lie tho, it’s a bit bulky for edc. I’m considering getting a smaller one for concealed carry.
I purchased a VP9 and I love it. Every time I shot it I love it more and more.
Thank you, sir! Great review! I was at an indoor firing range today and the RSO showed me her H&K VP9 with a 17 Round Clip. It looked very sweet. She asked if I wanted to shoot it, but I politely declined as I had to go. I told her I would do my homework on it. After watching this video and reading the reviews that I could find on this handgun, I'm going to be buying this gun, period! Thanks to this video. I also learned the difference between a hammer fire and striker fire pistol. Additionally, I also own a Sig Sauer. However, it is an older model P228 with a 13 Round Clip. Love the Sig though! When it comes to buying a handgun, it's all about the quality and workmanship for me instead of the cost. However, if i can buy it for less then that's like having my cake and eating it, too. Again, thanks for this video!!! 👍👍👍🙂🙂🙂💯💯💯
I love that Hickok45 loves the VP9 so much but holds it back because he's such a Glock fan..
Thank you SO MUCH for this video. I've boiled my choice down to these two and maybe one or two others for my first pistol. Been watching a lot of your videos and was so happy to see you had a direct compare on 2 of my top picks.
I couldn’t decide, so I bought both! Got the VP9 first. I pick up the P320 this week. Love my VP9 aka my nightstand gun
love hickok45 reviews. watched a bunch of them, they're always very informative. will most likely get the vp9 as my first handgun.
Won't regret it
Thank you for this video. I watched it a while back and because of it, went out and bought the P320. I love my P320 and I am actually thinking about adding the VP9 to my collection. I always watch your videos when I do my studying of guns to make my decision. Keep up the good work hickok45 !
Nice shooting Hickok! You always tell it like it is. Makes you’r tests worth watching. Now my
handeling of the H&K VP9 is a must. Thanks for this video.
Im here in England, this guy has the best job in the world. love his videos.
Two other jobs in the world are better. Beer taster at the Budweiser plant or Lamp holder/water sprayer at the Playboy photo shoots. LOL.
@@jimbob.2299 honestly, id still rather have hickock's job to be completely honest. But #2 would definitely be playboy water sprayer (or better yet, playbot baby oil application specialist lol) ill give you that
Hey hikok45 love your videos. Long time viewer. You got me thinking when you were talking about it being cold, needing to keep your hands warm and concealed carry. Would you consider doing a video on cold weather carry safety and effectiveness? E.g. Wearing gloves, a jacket, the draw and proper holster selection. You and big john keep up the great work!
Finally found myself a WLAN to follow up on my subscriptions, 6 hours by plane away from home! I enjoy your channel, Hickok and son! Keep on the good work!
I appreciate reviews like this, where you're seeing it in action in the hands of an experienced shooter.
Totally incredible shooting! Man, you are totally awesome!! Thank-you for all you do. God bless you and yours.
I just got my sig p320c carry, love it! , your spot on about the night sights they are kinda hard to pick up, at least during the day. thanks for the fun video:)
Thank you hickok45. Always been a fan of both guns. I have a USP .45 myself and ordered the VP9 recently. I am looking forward to shooting that beauty.
Both of them are top notch!
But I would pick the H&K...
There’s no such thing as “too much shooting.” Thanks for another great video!
if there is one thing I hate right now it is my bank account

Really enjoy watching Hickok45. As always, job well done.👍👍
Love this comparison! I have a VP9 for my competition (light. Non professional. Just a range group) and I love it. But I’ve had my eye on the 320 lately. 😁
I love the look of the new FDE VP9s they have put out. Looks beautiful.
Hi, thanks for all the videos, Keep up the good work, today to me, It seems your shooting the HK much more accurately.
Thanks Hickok 45. Love your videos. I have the VP9 and the VP40 Love them both.
So many nice guns on the market to choose from, is a plus for consumers. Thanks for the the comparative review. My favorite gun is usually the last one I shot.
I picked up dozens of pistols over a year trying to find the one that fit in my hand & had a good trigger. I now carry the VP9 daily & love it. Shoots great too.
Vp9 all day
Yes sir!!!
I'm with you. Gotta look real hard to find a more reliable, accurate 9MM that will just do its job all day. Sexy as heck too!
all damn day
what about HK SFP9 SF ?
Sig all day for me. Tightest grouping I've ever seen. Ya like what ya like.
Bought a P320 compact today for $499 new. Haven’t used it yet but love the way it looks and feels and how easy is to take it apart.
Wanted this for a while Hickok.. Thanks man.
I have the vp9 and even though im still getting used to shooting it, it is probably the best feeling striker i have ever held.
99900
As you recommended, tried both. The Sig P320 fit and felt the best. Great firearms the differences to me are in the grip. Trigger seemed better as well. Thanks for the great videos!
Mr Hickok , thank you and John for another great review !
I'm digging the Sig and found it new in the box for 529.00!
I was thinking you could go to the next frame and caliber for around 300 with no ffl after buying the first p320 with the receiver in it. I will research it , thanks again Sir! God bless.
Thank you so much for another excellent video (as usual).
I was able to handle / shoot both guns and came to a different decision than you.
I bought the full Sized Sig P320 in 9mm.
I have shot it in competition and it is truly sweet.
Yesterday I ordered a sub-compact P320, also in 9mm.
The trigger module being the gun - I intend to order a Sig Sauer Caliber X-Change Kit for a "carry" size in .45 cal.
I love the gun in every way & the ability to order different Sig Sauer Caliber X-Change Kits make this a hard gun to beat IMHO.
Thanks again for your video's - I watch every one :-)
Love my VP9. My favorite striker fired pistol
I believe John Browning came back from the grave and made one last gun, the vp9
I really like your channel. You're very knowledgeable and have a great sense of humor too.
I always watch Hickock45 videos to help me decide my next gun
VP9 hands down. Never any issues and the best grip out of any striker fired gun
H&K all day, now with 17 rd mags.
My 1st Sig was a 229. I took a P250 in trade and loved it except the 3 mile long double action trigger. Couldn't wait until the P320 to come out & I've been carrying a STOCK P320 Compact every since.
Both are fine pistols but I can't find 1 thing that I would change with the Sig straight out of the box.
I started with the P320 Compact (15+1) & added a Full size conversion kit (17+1). Have been thinking about adding a Carry frame which ends up giving me 3 different versions for less than the cost of 2 pistols.
Always enjoy your comparison between pistols. I would love to see you do a video comparing the Walters ppq m2 navy 9mm against either one of these two guns. Thanks for videos.
I enjoyed this review. I do wish you had added the Walther PPQ M2 It seems to be right there in the price range and I have heard it has a very good trigger as well.
M2 for me. Freakin awesome !
Have a 320, absolutely love it. Haven't shot the vp9 yet
Gotta get your hands on one bud absolutely flawless shooting gun im dead on out to 50-60yrds with ease
shoot one; nothing against the 320, but the vp9 is my favorite!
I've shot both. I prefer the 320 myself.
I'm got the sig, and I'm gonna pick up the hk in a couple days
I always enjoy your vs videos. Thanks
You will always be my go to when I’m looking for a new firearm. You’re the 🐐
"Let's just load a couple more"... we've all been there, lol.
Getting my P320 compact in FDE soon! Cant wait :D
I sold the HK not because it sucked, it was actually extremely good, but I want something smaller for CC.
+FollowMeInfantry same here.....just trying to decide on the caliber....
DatGrunt try the vp9sk
@@beechris1815 Yep, I love mine, and it fits pretty well, in my carry pocket of my riding vest.
I've had both for several years now and the VP9SK I have is the most accurate handgun I own, probably due to the sights being easier to see with my old eyes. I quit shooting the P320 Carry for a while until I recently upgraded it with the Sig Pro Cut slide and AXG gripe module. The bright green front X ray night sights on the Pro Cut slide are much easier to see in the daylight so I can now shoot it almost as accurately as the VP9SK. A big advantage of the P320 is the ability to upgrade everything if you don't mind spending the extra money. The upgrades turn it into a completely different gun.
Thank you for this comparison. Love the enthusiasm for shooting!
I've heard good things about the VP9, likewise I have also heard good things about the P320.
Looks like an interesting video.
HK VP9 vs Sig P320 vid wouldn't be complete w/out a Glock to compare to... lol.
Love you, Hickok.
have both love both. glock 19 battleworn nibx is what i carry
I love your videos. Thx for making them
Seeing your thoughts on the VP9, I can't wait until mine comes in after the waiting period is over. Thanks for your videos, I thoroughly enjoy them!
Waiting period?? Dude you're in a baaaaad state. Tennessee background check 2 minutes and 45 seconds then..Thank you for your purchase (hands me the gun). Have a fun day!!
I flat out love my VP9!
My G19 is my 2nd love.
Thanks
Think my 19 is alittle more dependable than my Vp9, with that being said I carry my 320c and hide my Glock 43 as back up.
I don't carry vp9 because it's to pretty, I carry the 320 because I don't care about scratches and holster wear. Frames are $50 all day
I own and have close to a thousand rounds on each of the VP9, P320 Carry and Glock 19. While they are all great shooters, I'm not a fan of the Sig night sights and I do get the finger pinch as well if I don't wear a band aid. I love to shoot these guns on the range but I carry either a G26 or G27. Great analysis, Mr. Hickok. I could not agree with you more.
Thanks for the great informative vid Mr. Hickok.
Man your really loving that Sig. I love the look of the VP9. Great review. 😊
man , Hickok is a great shot !
He should be probably been shooting since 1908 lol
Any chance of comparing the FNS-9 against one (or both) of these? Thanks, great review.
That'd he interesting, I'd end up between hk and fn
Both are awesome guns. In the end I chose the 320 because of the modular system, and the growing aftermarket support. Thanks for the review!
I've been watching Hickock since I was 9. 10 years later, can't make myself buy a gun without his opinion. I swear he could hit a gnat's tail with a hi point at 150 yards.
It's to the point I would never sell my G19 but now that I also have the VP9 the G19 stays in the safe
I have a Sig P320 and the HK VP9SK, love them both, great shooters, I carry the small VP every day.
Small ? It's as big as a 19. Lmao
Went with the HK VP 9 which I’m very happy with. Also almost went with sig for my carry but decided to go smith & Wesson which I feel better about. I watched his comparison video with the p365xl where the striking pin failed to prime the first round, that would be a bad day in a tight situation.
Hickok I traded my fullsize P320 for the compact/carry 15+1 this weekend. Put 150rds through it and function just fine. Main thing I noticed it don't feel as muzzle heavy and had less felt recoil muzzle flip. Probably due to the beefy built dual coil recoil spring setup. It's right in the G19 size you like.
Newer P320s have a target or combat hold, instead for the 6 o'clock hold
I definitely prefer the 6 o'clock hold.
@@codyallen2838 I'm new to this. What does 6 o'clock hold mean?
@@patrickfearon7942 it means that you hold your aligned sights just a bit below the spot you want to hit. So you can keep a clear picture of your target as opposed to covering your target with your sight.
Mr. Hickok, pleas make an video about the Baby Desert Eagle. Nobody of all big gun channels have an review about this gun.
never been this early- keep up the great vids Hickok
Your gun reviews are full of good info and opinion, and have helped me come to a decision on a pistol for the range. Keep up the great work!
do i sense favoritism to the vp9?
The vp9 has taken over my g19 as edc. I love shooting that one Alittle more
Here in Belgium we have fairly restrictive legislation. just strated shooting at the club. will take me about a year before being authorized to own my own gun. meantime i have time to see what'll fit me.
That is where your reviews come in. love them. thanks, keep up the work.
Very informative! Much appreciated! You all do a fantastic job and very in-depth explanations and descriptions of both pieces!
Love my HK vp9! I carry it sometimes at 4:30. Wonderful shooter!
Own a VP9, love it to death, but those Sigs have been calling my name lately.
The 365 is nice, imo better then the VP9 SK ... Still love my VP9 but it's a tad big for me to carry.
Love watching your videos H45. I notice you mention the Sig shooting a little high. A few months back a buddy of mine was shooting a Sig 2022 in 357sig and I noticed it shooting high. Is this just a plastic "Sig thing" or are these just anomalies?
I got my VP9 a few months ago and I have to say that the only thing I don't absolutely love about it is the price ($700 out the door hurts, but it's worth it, to me). It's beautifully made, feels excellent in the hand, and shoots like a dream. Reliable and good-looking at the same time is a match made in heaven. The only thing I'm going to change on mine is putting some Kryptek pattern tan Cerakote in a few places.
I'd like to see fullsteel versions of the walther PPQ and those two guns.
its no law that strikerfired guns must have frames made out of polymere
I agree. A full steel 320 would be insane.
your avatar is insane .. that is :D
That's when I was sexy. I've lost weight since then.
bummer
I have carried the VP9 since September, and I have to say I am thoroughly impressed by this gun. For me, the ergonomics on the VP9 beat any other gun I've handled, and the trigger is simply a work of art. Now...
I have not had a chance to shoot the P320, but I will say the trigger on dry fire is also a work of art. No question, the top three striker fire triggers in my opinion are the VP9, P320 and PPQ. All are superb, and far superior to every other factory striker fire trigger offered. The ONLY issue I have with the P320 at present is the grip. It's a little fat for my smaller hands, but outside that, it certainly feels like standard Sig quality.
That said, having put a couple thousand rounds through my VP9, I'm sticking with it. If you have not shot one, you owe it to yourself to do so. Nothing will beat Glock in the market for a long time to come, but let there be no doubt these two guns will certainly carve their own niche in this market. I got my VP9 with the LE package (night sights and three mags) for $699, and the standard gun runs $599. The P320 runs $525. Great guns!
sig offers 3 or 4 different grip/frame sizes for the p320......not sure if they are all on the market yet
I agree with everything you said. I own both the vp9 and p320. The vp9 is the winner for me.
p320 conversion kits (choice of: caliber .45, .40, 9mm, .357sig, slide and frame in full, carry, compact, and subcompact) are around $230 at the Pro Shop in Epping NH
Always love your reviews nice touch with the 19 ❤️
If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with the P320 because it's more modular. Hopefully, Sig will eventually make a threaded barrel for it.
I carry my VP9 IWB and it feels very comfortable. It shoots phenomenal. I like it!
Same here
I agree
You may like the VP9SK, I AIWB it in a Tulster and I hardly print and like it a lot.
thanks man. your channel is worth every purchase in gold.
I have a 320C in 9mm, and you are right to change calibers runs about $400. but if you want to stipple your grips, and mess it up, it's only $40 or so to get a new grip. I've considered getting the .357 SIG caliber change kit, but not sure I would gain too much.
Took the VP9 out to the range, and they had a P320 for rent. The VP9 shot circles around the sig in my hands. I was very excited to shoot the P320, and I was let down by it. Needed a light at the end, and the recoil impulse with 124 NATO was definitely noticeable. The P320 isn't that accurate. Maybe the twist rate? Maybe the lockup? not sure, but the VP9 clearly out performed the P320. I really wanted to love the P320, and I like Sig. But they need to rework this gun.
Ryan Tong Could be, but honestly my inputs felt right. I'm going to rent it again and see if it happens again. I'm going to put 100 rounds through a PPQ, my VP9 and the P320. See which of the 3 does better. I was disappointed that it didn't shoot as well as I expected.
Ryan Tong Yeah that's a good point. I do want to be 100% sure it wasn't just a bad range day though. I don't want to be wrong about it. It could also just be a bad sample. I love the VP9, there's no doubt about that. But I want to like the P320. The rentals are cheap for me, and I have the ammo. I think if it's bad this go around then I'll just leave it as it is, and move on with my life :) But I want to make sure I think. Want to make sure I'm giving it a fair shake.
Ryan Tong Well thank you sir, same to you as well.
Ryan Tong
gen 2 and sent to them twice....I hear everyone's customer support is slipping these days. Learned from it and moved on.
I wonder due to the Sig being a rental, maybe the sights got knocked around.
Hey what do you regularly carry when you go out? I switched from a Sig P320 to a Glock 19. I just can't get used to a glock D:
Thanks
Glock 19 / 23 or G27 / 26. The P320 is a great shooter, but the G19 is about half the size and just as shootable. For range shooting, it really doesn't matter.
That's why those fat generic clunkers own the market, everyone else is playing catch up.
John Johnson What's up with your profile picture?
I shot the Glock 20 (Non-SF) when I was 11, wasn't bothered by the grip size, didn't even notice it. To this day I like the big grip, its a hand-full.
John Johnson Are you saying Glocks are stupid?
Really appreciate and enjoy your comparison videos. How about M&P or XDm against either of these? The "chassis" design on the Sig seems to be a big advantage but cost wise perhaps not so much. Are there advantages of 124gr vs 115gr 9mm ball? Which do you prefer?
My solution to the conundrum of which one to get? Grabbed both. Sig in 9mm and the HK IN .40; Both are phenomenal.
VP9 in my opinion. Especially if you're going to carry it. But you can't go wrong with either...
I bought the P320 because I heard H&K customer service sucks. That was from a gun shop owner. Both pistols are awesome!
what's the distance to the gong? this gentleman makes it look easy to shoot the gong with a pistol. I heard from people that it is really hard for the gun to be precise on long distance. Either the guys I talked are horrible shooters and they work in police and army or hickok45 is a genius...
He’s mentioned in other videos that the gong is 80 yds
What happened to your close up videos hickok? I thought those were very fun to watch!
Great video Hickok.
