4 weeks ago i blacked out for the first time. i've never been drunk in my life but maybe tipsy. so when my parents told me that my behavior was horrible and that i blacked out twice i felt so ashamed. the shame was so much it was enough for me to conclude that i will never drink the way i did that weekend
Saw the notification& knew this was literally made for me😂😂😂 Coming from a week of hallucination, depression and anxiety from booze, I think this really rubber-stamped it for me. This last week of July 2024 has been insane. It marks the end of my journey with alcohol. Loved the conversation 💯
Drinking alcohol requires a high level of self discipline...otherwise you will go off the rails. I am glad I kicked it to the curb. The first thing I did, was cancel all those " friends" that we'd only hook up to drink and make merry. From there I managed to keep myself in check. Kept myself busy with work and other hobbies. I still drink occasionally albeit responsibly. Great topic guys! Keep up the good work. ❤❤

Great convo especially you guys' experience with your personal friendship groups, and how important it is to cut out people who aren't your friends, but are with you for the 'vibes'. To me,alcohol is not a big problem but bhangi,weeh.Even after the many rehabs,I still find it hard to completely sober out of it(though am currently minimizing the smoking).Love u guys & am looking forward to an interesting conversation next week😍
I’ve been drinking since uni 17 thereabouts and my two rules are I never drink alone only socially and, never to cope. Very well aware how easy it is in Nairobi to lose control around alcohol so also the breaks from drinking ata socially are so key.
Living with 3roommates nikiwa attachment, all of them were drinking and I was not influenced by peer pressure to drink I really thank myself for that ....This year nilikuwa nafikiria kuanza cause I don't fit in cause I find myself having friends who drink but I changed my mind ..told myself I can survive without friend..
I have never taken alcohol coz I have seen someone struggling with it I don't wanna be that person. That's a good discussion many people gonna learn something especially those who take it to numb their depression

Until one day I had a serious hangover that lasted for 4 freaking days I thought I was going to die. I thought left my intestines in the toilet bowl. Guys nursing a hangover is EXPENSIVE. it took me 11 months before I started drinking again but responsibly without being influenced but again taking what you can handle. Choose your poison '
I agree with Kerry about not taking my phone to the toilet. 🚽 Just because I use a pit latrine here in Mandera, otherwise, when I'm in Nai. I use my phone without any stress a. Hapa mandera enda na iphone 15 kwa toilet. Utashindwa kudenki juu ya kuogopa kudrop simu kwa hio pit😂.gaademit!😂😂

Actually the thing about alcohol just don't drink to avoid problems. The human brain is wired to avoid pain and discomfort but that is when you grow.
