What technique did you use? I use suppression and "tic transferring" to try and stop some new tics. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

@@tourettetalkwithjaytwitch7729 I haven't told anyone so I just handled it myself 😅 I just thought and thought and restrained myself from doing it cause it was gonna ruin my health (it was something with breathing) I remember my tourette developing when I was 6 right after I got a cold

i am also one of the many people who suffer from tourette syndrome and one thing i do not think was said is that sometimes if you ask somebody a simple question even if they know the answer it may take a bit for them to process the the question and the answer. also if you want to know a bit more about the persons life with it they might answer that they can not describe it very clearly

Ok so I have OCD, I also have some tics but the most normal one is that I sometimes need to repeat what a girl in my class says, the reason it is this girl is because she is so annoying and says so stupid things I just have to repeat it and her friends are pretty rude to me now because I repeat what she says and I don’t wanna be like “Oh it is my OCD” because A they would not believe me and B I don’t wanna be that person you know, so I had to come up with the weirdest excuse ever but it works because some of it is true in that I want to remember what she says so I maybe can have some inspiration when I draw or make comics, but mostly just talk with my friends. The thing is that they don’t believe me in the drawing part which is my excuse. They don’t draw and were like “wait so you draw her? Creepy...” and I was like “umm, of course not, I just like to remember it so I get inspiration to draw or make comics”.

I have a tick. It's uncomfortable but a relaxing form of motion. A lot of people question it and shame it, but in truth it's like having a disease or an injury. It's most likely not your fault and you don't want it to happen. But in this world sometimes things develop and others are just going to have to learn to love it. :)
