I agree with others, the side cladding is way too thick & needs to b made smaller like the CX5. It probably has cylinder deactivation which isn’t needed on a 4cyl. Didn’t see the awful I stop button so that’s one good sign.
Bring on a comprehensive CX-30 refresh/facelift already. It's been 5 years as of model-year 2024. Great vehicle, but needs some exterior cosmetic tweaks/upgrades (cladding, headlights, dedicated non-projector DRL, front bumper/grill styling tweaks, blacked-out silver trim/rails, etc.).
@@ms.b9093 Can't do that without making it CX-5 or CX-50 sized. True subcompact/compact Crossovers aren't for people who care about rear seating comfort or a lot of cargo space. There are larger vehicles for that already available.

The CX-50 needs fewer trims and should be lifted higher off the ground and marketed strictly as a rugged outdoorsy model to compete with Subaru Wildness.
My wife and I just got one of these in the same color for our second car. We decided to lease because of the great lease deals being offered. It's hard to believe it's the next to lowest trim given how nice it is inside and out. The base audio system is pretty good as well.

You get two USB C ports. They also removed the 12V outlet on the 2024 model. I use a USB C to USB A dongle on my 2024 CX-30 to listen to music on a thumb drive
@@michaels999Crosstrek has awful cheap and cheesy CVT instead of transmission,. touch screen only interface with rather poor resolution and location too low so eyes need to be taken off the road , no great control knob to control all infotainment functions , audio quality even on base CX30 is so much clearer and offer much more advanced adjustability and can play high res files , CX30 has nicer engine with much better power feel , than comes road feel also superior to Subbie like every Mazda does. Fit and finish, materials are also nicer on CX30 it is just a much more premium experience than Subbie that feels cheaper even that price is similar. So if extra inch or two here and there is not that huge of a factor than CX30 is clearly nicer better design and build of a car. Also CX30s AWD has different approach than Subbie and is more intuitive and easy to drive due to AWD predictive programming and set up.
Mazda should get rid of the black plastic cladding especially if they wanna get taken serious as a premium brand like they been talking about pushing their brand upscale because it doesn’t look premium. 😮

You people apparently don't realize that, that terrible cladding is there to protect your car from road debris/rocks. I'd rather have the cladding, than a bunch of rock chips!
Test drove the CX-30. I don't see the attraction. It's cramped! Felt like a rolling coffin. You sit low inside. Not high up like a normal SUV. The high interior door sides really make you feel like you are sinking and the tight rear seat is ridiculous! Not to mention the cladding is awful in the lighter colors. The engine is buzzy off the line too; however, it drove much better on the highway. Not a fan at all. The CX-5 on the other hand drove like a dream and had a much better seating position. Though it has less HP, the CX-5 tuned different and felt quicker off the line around town. Butter smooth and quiet on the highway. Way better car!
Don’t mind cladding just needs to make them smaller like the cx5 like 2 inches vs 7inches it would make a world of difference in the looks.
Hopefully Mazda learned their lesson when it comes time for the refresh of this model + next gen

I've always liked the Ceramic color better than a true white. Im happy to see its back. Will it be offered on any other vehicles now?
I liked this car when it came out but I'm ready to see a refresh and hybrid option.

They make USB C flash drives now. No need for an adapter. Some on Amazon.

Which to go for Crosstrek or CX30. I have two kids 7years old and 2 year old
Crosstrek has more room behind the front seats, a bigger gas tank and better gas mileage plus a great safety rating
The visibility also is horrible in cx30 but it does look nice

I believe there is a single side airbag on each side. Shared between front and rear occupants

I took my cx30 cladding off and had it painted to match. I got a mazda soul red crystal touch up pen to have it matched. Looks amazing!!

Sounds like you found the car for you. There are drivers who prefer the CX-30.
I absolutely hate all the thick PLASTIC moulding that sticks out like a sore thumb. Plastic on a car makes it look cheap because plastic is cheap.
