I use Photo AI as a pluggin in DXO PL7 (sent as a TIFF, often cropped) and works fine. I have set Photo AI Upscale for a specific image size for print and when the file is sent from PL7 to Photo AI, the image size is verified automatically and adjusted accordingly.

LRC also has two ways to start Photo AI: PHOTO | Edit-in and FILE | Plug-in Extras. What are the pros and cons of each method?

Thanks for the explanation,. I noticed that you were exporting the photo at 240 dpi resolution, is there a reason why not at 300 dpi? Just curious, thanks again.

If you convert the image to a Smart Obj before using PAI via File > Automate then make enhancements in there before upsizing, will the settings (denoise, sharpen) be remembered if we then want to re-visit the denoise & sharpen settings via the Filter menu PAI? (How's that for a long sentence???) 😊

Every time I use topaz ai it takes 5 minutes on my raw files 50-60 mb . My mini-Mac is an intel model about 4 years old with 64 gb ram and I have my photos in external drive not ssd. Do you think the issue is my external drive and/or computer? However if I use Denoise it renders within a minute which in most of my wildlife birds photos noise is the problem due to high shutter speed needed, hence I use it the most. Hopefully they will not discontinue it.

Now Lightroom classic, if you can. TPAI 3 is a mess.

Photo AI is a total mess for me.. I don't know what their software writers are doing. The correct way to use it I photoshop is through automate as you do. However, mine never works I just get error messages. This is the same for Topaz Gigapixel 7 too, the old apps work OK through the filter menu but aren't updated anymore. The reason I bought all their software was to use as photoshop plugins, I edit all my images in PS. I'm running Windows 11 on a fadt Lenovo laptop, have had lots of correspondence with Topaz, followed their instructions, sent them data packages etc but still they won't work. There last email told me to speak to Adobe. 🙈 I would have thought thst was their job. Has anyone got the same issues? Any ideas please?

I assume your laptop meets all the tech requirements for the products (RAM, VRAM, etc,) or else tech spt would have said that's the issue. Let me ask you something. You say you're using "Photoshop". Do you really mean Ps beta? Which is unreliable and is a beta and would not have commercial Topaz products tested on it. Or, alternatively, do you have Ps beta installed on the same computer as the production release of Ps. To use inelegant language, that too could screw up (aka, impact) how filters, plugins, etc behave in 'real' (vs beta) Ps.

@@FotomakerAcademy Thanks for the reply. I don't run any Beta versions on my computer, it's just standard PS 2024/Lightroom annual subscription. It runs OK, so does the new Gigapixel AI that also needs to be opened from the automate tab, as a stand alone but won't open as a PS plugin, just gives the error message "launch plugin failure". It will open as a plugin from Lightroom but I edit everything in PS. Topaz customer service/help couldn't sort it, told me to speak to Adobe, who say they don't know... 🙈 Strange, just wondered if anyone else had the problem. From the title of this CZcams video I thought it might be about my problem.

@@musiqueetmontagne Odd b/c I only work with the Topaz Ps 2024 plugins and they work for me on Win 11. I have an AMD processor.
