- Dance scene from Better Off Dead featuring E.G. Daily performing One Way Love (Better Off Dead).
I don't own this video. It is copyright its respected authors and being posted for reference and reminiscence. - Hudba
best part is Charles DeMar's laugh
+Frankie Saenz Yeah. He was good.
Trolling on a whole other level.
That was the best part lol
Yeah, a good laugh.
Curtis Armstrong improvised that!!
Ricky's entrance.... EPIC!!!
Yeah, he got that from Revenge of the Nerds, probably.
Right! 😂😂
🤣🤣😂😂
1:03, there's no way the guy standing behind Amanda Wyss (who was Freddy's first on screen victim in A Nightmare on Elm Street) wearing a red and green striped sweater is a coincidence! I say bravo film makers!
WEIRD!!! Just noticed that!!
Teeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee'na...
Lol I'm sure it was intentional. 😅
Must have seen this film a thousand times since 1985 when I never noticed it until it was mentioned here@@EnlightnMe48
I love how Charles is enjoying the insult so much that it makes Roy regret saying it.
Out-obnoxiousing an obnoxious opponent. Brilliant counter.
I love how you phrased it
@Sleeping Dog he really trolled the shit out of him and all he did was laugh, didn't even counter with an insult *chefs kiss* brilliant.
thats what i do when someones being a douche
Tongue twister
But it wasn’t done to out-wit Roy, Charles TRULY found it hysterical. We’re talking about a guy who drinks his brothers egg nog made with lighter fluid, snorts snow, as well as nasal spray in place of real drugs. He found it legitimately hilarious.
Friendly reminder that Tommy Pickles is up there on stage singing.
This is still one of my all time favorite movies.
This was one of the best high school movies ever made.
This, and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Made the 80s. Ferris Bueller's Day Off cones in 3rd.
THE BEST.
No, but it was funny enough.
Best laugh ever. He threw right back in his face. Great movie.
Shows that Stalin isn't as "tough" as you think he is. Being captain of the ski team won't, by the way!
but even after he left he was still dying laughing
Demar's laughing still cracks me up immediately
Love how Ricky falls down and everyone just dances around him, like, "Oh, well."
I think his brother played Spaz in the Meatballs movie
@@partyonurpussy No, those are two different actors. This was Dan Schneider, who went on to Head of the Class. Jack Blum was Spaz.
@@sha11235 DUUUUDE! Good call on Ricky being Dan Mu*$%#n Schneider!!!! I loved this movie since it came out, I loved Head of the Class. I know he's responsible for writing a shit load of shows for Nickelodeon. He also destroyed a bunch of young actors while working on those shows...and supposedly he's trying to make a comeback! I NEVER put the two images together! You can't unsee it!¡ Damn, Ricky was my boy!
@@pixiehellasweet
He’s a good dancer too.
"Ya tried!"
Kudos to John Cusack for holding it together and not laughing Stone cold straight face brilliant actor
I love how Curtis Armstrong was being insulted at 1:01, and totally defused it by laughing hysterically.
One of my favorite parts of the movie. Curtis is a legend.
He kicked ass in this film. Though his character was probably high.
@@Belburg Definitely was doing whip its, he made a comment about how he couldn't get drugs in their tiny town when they're at the supermarket.
@@TheMonsterRainI think he may be buying whipped cream in an aerosol can also. 😂. iykyk
Exactly haha!!
This is an absolute classic. Brings nothing’s but great memories.
So hard to believe this movie came out almost 40 years ago! Where does the time go? It'll always hold a special place in my heart because this was during my teen years and a time when life was good and simple.
Time moves on. This year is almost over as well.
You know, if more people who got bullied acted like Charles did by laughing, I think bullying might go down.
Right? It totally disarmed the bullies.
This bully is stupidly hilariously though. Laughing is the appropriate response.
Roy wasn't really a bully..He was a pompous @%#hole..Sadly many girls tend to go for jerks like that especially back then.
@@MegaSammy70 There's a significant degree of truth to that, but it's mostly reversed cause-and-effect: The guys who women are the most physically attracted to tend to end up becoming pompous/jerks, because they can get away with it and still have the girls come to them. Put more succinctly and generally, "power corrupts". Same with attractive girls.
Charles DuMar is a genius
Loved her in that movie. Loved the outfit, her voice, and the way she moved
Dan McDonough much agreed! I love this movie and I’ve seen it countless times. I am 30 and I’ve been watching this since I was like 12. This scene has always been my favorite.
80’s Personified 🔥
And she reprises her role as Tommy pickles in the current Rugrats series.
EG Daily is amazing in Pee Wee Herman's Big Adventure, Valley Girl, and Friends too. 😃🥰 But Better Off Dead is probably my favorite of all time and it was great to hear her sing a full song here.
E.G.'s legs though...!!!
Just thinking the same thing!!
Hellz yeah
Watch Valley Girl you'll thank me later
Creeps
@@docholiday5119 She was in her early 20's here. Troll.
E.G Daily's scream at 1:50 though! 😍😍 One of my favorite movies!!
Same! Just watched it again yesterday!
Oh my god! Is this THE E.G. Daily that voiced Tommy Pickles? I think so cause i can hear some Tommy. She's beautiful!
Yes, that's her.
I think of Tommy Pickles too!!
OMG! I absolutely adore her. Growing up in the 80's she was It for style, for me anyways.I love Valley Girl, Peewee's Big Adventure, Better Off Dead, she did a cameo in Dutch❣
she did a couple of songs on the scarface soundtrack too.
Yes sir. She’s also Dottie in Pee Wees Big Adventure.
Ricky entered that dance like a boss.
I know right? Them doors just flew open because of his grand presence.
Ricky’s dance solo is the stuff of legend.
when Ricky enters😂
Amazing movie, great song and EG Daily is so gorgeous.
Too bad she had kids and married Rick Salomon (Paris Hilton/Shannen Doherty/Pamela Anderson ex)
Just watched this for the first time in years, can't believe how timeless this is.
I wish I could laugh someone off like that. Best impromptu laugh ever.
Wrestlers could only dream of entrance epic as Ricky
Paging Mr. Herman, Mr Pewee Herman. Dotti is back on attack in another 80s flick lol.
I can't say how many time I've watched this film from start to finish...it's around 20 though easily. I love it now as I loved it as an 11 year old kid when it came to the video stores....I believe that this film remains one of the most off-the-wall greatest comedies of all time...great, hilarious characters go through a very routine 1980's rom/com script but this one is heads and tails above all the rest!!! LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!
Yes indeed. It’s on my personal top ten best films of all time.
#1 80s comedy film, #1 80s scene is the school dance scene in RAD! ;-)
1:38 most epic entrance ever.
One of the best Comedies of all time, and one of the most hysterical movies ever made.
2:48 has had me in stitched right from the 80's. I love Curtis Armstrong !
This movie
IS
A classic
Never gets dull
Booger's laugh, is the best part of the whole scene.
Charles' laugh, you mean. That's the character's name here.
1:06 IMO is one of the best and memorable laughs in cinema history and of course continued at 2:46.
Hahahaa same! It gets me every time.
Curtis Armstrong improvised that
Pepper Petal that was golden and still funny to this day haha
This still stands to be one of my top three movies after all these years. The music, the Camaro, Charles and the snow, the raisins walking off the plate, Ricky having the doors fly open, the primer, the Franch bread, Badger, and the $2
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I could live in this video like Groundhog Day on a continuous loop
I never laughed so hard a brilliant film when I watched this back in 86 and again in 2022 . Some movies are just untouchable
You gotta love Ricky ‘s entrance ..and the dance
1:16 Guy standing behind Beth has a. Freddy Krueger sweater on, nice reference! Beth was Freddy’s first victim in Nightmare on Elm Street
Charles is laughing his ass off at the insult and Lane is like, "WTF?" Now, if this had been Booger.....
Interesting that he played Booger in "Revenge of the Nerds", and he is the voice of Snot in "American Dad"!
The way my man deflected that insult is absolute genius to point where the bully regretted ever saying anything to them!
Charles is the ultimate troll with that laugh. The best part is the reach he did when stalin left
I know right? How often can someone say that they turned a bully's own insult around on them?
@@hisdudeness8328 He Asshole Not A Bully . Look at Karate Kid with Johnny and you Will See what a Bully is
I like how the crowd hyped up Ricky to dance, then when he falls on his face, they’re like “aight imma head out.”
Underrated movie...
Just having an 80s era Diane Franklin is win.
thanks for posting. this a great movie. " and to drink we have Peru"
1:04
The Greatest laugh in the history.......of laughter
2:50
The greatest laugh in the history of laughter.....Remix!
I can practically hear Buttercup or Tommy Pickles singing in a nice, soft rock n roll.
Great movie. From beginning to end.
Love this movie, love this song! GO E.G. DAILY GO!!! :-D
They just don't make fucking movies like this anymore. The 80's were awesome! Great memories.
Heart this scene in this movie.
this film is a family favorite. many classic one liners
That's Pee Wee's girlfriend from the bikeshop!
They're jamming to Tommy Pickles
One of the best flicks of the 80's!
One of my favorite movies!!
One of the greatest 80s movies! Turned my kids on to it when they were young. Now in their 30s and still love it and sharing with their kids.. timeless classic..
I like how all the extras are like in their 30's. None of them look even remotely high school age.
AmericaFirst_87: Lol... So true. Even in year books, 80’s teens looked so much older.
That is how it was back then, you went to high school well into your 30s, LOL, just ask Charles Le Mar
Great scene, CLASSIC movie. EG Daily - so freaking hot my processor fried. Booger laughing at lame joke while they're dancing is priceless.
I love how he hits em twice with the laughter.
funny when he comes up to him miming shaving and is still laughing
Epic classic. I love these 80's coming-of-age movies.
Someone finally uploaded this! Freakin' love this movie! Two internets and two dollars to you sir.
Taxes in 2018 make that $17.95!
Man, I love this movie! Also was just absolutely in love with Diane Franklin....just a lot...a whole lot...
Me to. One of my top 80's crushes.
That footwork on Ricky though, graceful to say the least...
That’s the actress who voices Tommy Pickles from Rugrats. You can totally hear Tommy in her voice.
Beth is Tina from Nightmare on Elmstreet.
+jakethemuss3 ...and Judge Reinholds GF in 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High'
krelbar That's right!
Every actor in the 80s was in every 80s movie. I just blew your mind.
I never realised that till today!
I love how there’s a kid with a Freddy sweater next to her. Definitely was intentional by the filmmakers.
Is it just a coincidence the guy standing behind Beth is wearing a Freddy Krueger striped shirt?
I cannot believe it's been 30 years and I never freakin' noticed that. Good catch!
Ilhares Don't feel bad I watched this movie and Pee Wee's Big Adventure all the time and didn't notice Dottie is here singing until I got older.
She was also in the movie"Valley Girl" with Nicolas Cage.
Omg!!! I never noticed that before!!! SO funny!!!
She was in Nightmare on Elm St, there’s no way that was a coincidence
awe Yeah two of my Faves of All 80's teenage movies.. EG Daily is a Total Fox.. !!
and what a Great voice too. Nice Onion also.
I think Charles came up to Stalin again to laugh because he sees Lane isn't happy about what Stalin did to him so it's sort of helping a friend out.
Ricky's entrance is amazing.
E.G. Daily.....just wow.
How can you go wrong with Curtis Armstrong as Charles.
He played sidekicks very well back then!
EG Daily was a DISH!
Rumor has it Demar is actually still laughing to this day........ in all seriousness one of the greatest underated comedies of all time!! My favorite 80s comedy, and there are a million to choose from!
Great scene
One of the funniest and most underrated comedies ever!
My favorite 80's movie.
Baby Doll from "Streets of Fire" finally got a singing gig.
such a great movie!
Love this movie, did not realise eg daily dod the voice of tommy pickles untill recently, now every time i hear that i cannot help but picture him singing this
Suddenly I’m in the mood for some Franch Fries🔥
love that voice, she's somethin, damn she went high too
Listen to her all the time! An 80's fav!
Best reverse-ownage scene ever.
ricky dresses like a Brooklyn hipster-- totally ahead of his time.
Liz looking great and sounding great ❤️❤️🥰🥰
E.G. Daily is in two of my favorite 80's films. This one (Better off Dead) and Streets of Fire. Films that blow away the crap thrown at us by Hollyweird today.
One of my top 5 movies!
Me too!
That is by far the best movie laugh ever...😂🤣
The middle 8 in this song absolutely slaps.
She was a fox.
John Cusak was quoted as saying he regretted doing these movies (Better Off Dead, One Crazy Summer) Till this day, there still favorites of mine.
He seems to have backed away from that attitude since then, though, so that animosity must have mellowed considerably.
Booger!!!!!
I love Elizabeth Daily singing! Almost as much as I loved her topless in Valley Girl.
one of the funniest parts of the movie. Elizabeth Daily was pretty smokin' in her day, too.
Love it after Ricky falls on his face, the kids look at him and then just dance around him, like, "Oh, well...."
The sound affect when Ricky hits the floor at the end😂..... have a great day🙂
lol the one guy is wearing a Freddy Krueger sweater!
For me, it’s when he reaches out to grab his arm as he’s walking away, like “wait, don’t go, you’re hilarious!”
I miss the 80's.
Hello E.G. Daily! Yowza!! Such a talented lady.
That scene has so many great elements to it.
Imagine Tommy Pickles singing this... now you can't think of anything else!
