@@Mr.Potato420 can even find build videos for Killa-B on Steve Nogas' channel. Car has been around for over a decade winning burnout comps in Australia. I bet they'll do great things with the new setup
@@Mr.Potato420 I remember watching then went looking back through the videos to try and find it. It was well before Mullets Engine, well before Cletus talked about SME on socials as well.
Pretty sure it's a good mix of old and new video. Obviously years ago KillahB wasn't even a thing. Nor the intake manifold stuff. But absolutely for the block build.
Cool seeing a local Muskegon guy on CZcams..... It is definitely a cool craft building engines at the level you do. Would love to build engines like these.
I'm not a machinist, but I like to watch a few channels. I really admire the care y'all put into cleaning and maintaining your tools, big and small. Like you, they are guys that are willing to take the time to teach along the way.
i worked along side a machinist a few years ago and the attention to detail is absolutely amazing he would spend an hour setting everything up and making sure it was perfect before ever firing up the mill but once it was set he'd have the part knocked out quickly
Always cool watching you do this setups and machining. Measure my intakes and scribe lines then send it to a machinist to fix the problem. Please keep this type of content coming!
The one thing I hated in school for precision machining and Cnc manufacturing was zeroing vises and zeroing on parts but watching this makes me wanna go back to it
I live in a small town in Queensland, Australia. It's so freaking awesome seeing this car on your channels (SME and Cleetus). It's just so freaking awesome.
In 1980,81,82 I was taking machine shop class in high school and one of the Bridgeports we had were at least 30 years old then. Along with some Leblond and Rockwell lathes that were pretty old but still worked great.
Old skool machinist here, I just love my old Bridgeport, she is 50 years old, but with a nice Mito DRO, and she is still accurate. She has been in a motorsport shop since new, so always been looked after, never been factory thrashed. Amazingly versatile old machines.
I never think about sounds in the background or voice quality. I can tune into the relevant content and still I watch S.M content multiple times and still learn stuff. I don’t understand the folk that complain about stuff. Bravo sir we lucky few get to enjoy and learn. Watching a master craftsmen is a treat we can appreciate.
Agreed In my opinion if you’re watching a video on a engine builder/machinist page and you’re worried about back ground noises and non perfect voice quality you’re watching for the wrong damn reason
Thanks Steve for taking us to your happy place! It's clear where your joy comes from. Yes tool speed and feed rate is what it takes to machine well (and sharp cutters) 💪💪💪
This is good stuff. The details really do it for me on these gnarly builds. The information I've acquired from watching you has brought my abilities to new heights. Mine and my dad's race car is in much better shape if it weren't for some crucial tips. Thanks Steve!

O man o man, you gave me chills when you started machining that intake right next to that motor....with exposed heads/intake inlets...im sure a few little shavings wouldnt hurt but you never know

Brings back memories, used to work under Les Parry in Australia back in the 90s, anyone in the know will remember that name. Noticed nothing in machining has really changed much in 30 years. Even the CNC stuff. Nice watching people make it work as you put it Steve.
I love the videos and information in them! As a machinist of 18 years sorry to say I skip over a lot of the machine work; it's like being at work lol. Keep the good stuff coming Sir!
I bet it feels good to get in and put your hands on, knowing you are achieving something, not so easy to finish in one of the fully auto, and you set a good example for your workers, clean environment clean job, all the best to you and your loved ones
A machinist that will do a one day turnaround for you is good as gold. We used to have this guy Charlie who did a lot of fast turn around stuff for us. One time a welder messed up a welded cap for a huge Victaulic coupling we were using to test. You could see where phosphate had penetrated they areas where the welds didn’t penetrate. I designed a machined version of the cap that morning. We got the drawing to Charlie in the afternoon. He had the part on his truck at our gate at 8 am next day. Amazing service.
Steve, we really appreciate your attention to detail, the fact you're taking the time to show us the detail is truly appreciated.
