Did anybody else catch those references to the 90s black sitcom A Different World and Naruto's Rasengan
It's plausible that Storm is still in a transitional healing state following Forge's Mutation treatment restoration machine. This would explain Storm's encounter with the monster owl, suggesting she's embarking on an internal healing journey, confronting her inner demons.
That would make sense especially considering her claustrophobia. I wasn’t expecting her to get over it that quickly. So a panic induced hallucination, makes sense especially since the adversary has her voice.

It was truly heartwarming to witness Jubilee finally showcase her powers and shine in this episode. After being sidelined and not given the recognition she deserved in the X-Men movies, seeing her in action was a long-awaited delight.

She was one of the younger students in a group scene. You see the yellow jacket and glasses. She blows a bubble gum bubble as she is leaving class with the students.
Why everytime Storm talks I wanna cry 😭😭😭
I really enjoyed this episode for the fact that they decide to split the story between two characters, but not so much in a blending of one and the other, at the same time like it is usually done, but one character had the beginning and it ended and then it started up later on as a second part and I think it was done well because it was a nice little intro to the storm episode and then make you want more and then the part two that’s coming later is just a blown out full storm for storyline
She's feeling sensations that she thought was dead, no lightning and remember that it's all in her head. She ain't happy, she's not feeling glad, ain't no sunshine in her bag. She's useless, but not for long, the future is coming on...
Calling it now: Forge spiked the stew with mushrooms and Storm is tripping balls right now.
im thinking this is happening while shes in the machine and once she beats her demons shell awakened with her powers.
I thought Forge created The Adversary to deal with the horrors he experienced in the war? Remember, he even acknowledged it and told the demon to get out of his house. [And bring Gina back for more of these X-Men 97 episodes!!!!!!!!!]

Grade 4th episode it was a nice break from all the heavy emotional stuff from the last three just a simple Mojo getting in your face episode. Love it. Also, it was a nice intro to the forge and storm storyline.

The way I see it, Forge is real and the Adversary has been attached, feeding on his trauma and regret for a long time. With Storm's fresh trauma, the Adversary is powerful enough to trap them in its mystical reality warp/dream state and make them see what it wants them to. Storm went into the machine and was cured, but she never woke up. The Adversary pulled her and Forge into a dream where she is still powerless, so her despair continues, and Advy continues to feed off her.
(And yes, since it wasnt well conveyed as such, I have to believe significant time has passed in one or more dreamstate for Forge to be professing such deep love by now).
Unlike Ep3, I don't think this episode needed to be split into 2 whole individual eoisodes, but maybe they should have edited them to be intercut between each other (i.e., Mojotendo part A, Lifedeath part A, Mojotendo part B - conclusion, Lifedeath part B - cliffhanger).
Great take. I hope she works through her issues to recognize her intrinsic power of her spirit. She returns to lead the X-men without her mutant powers. The cure worked but with a latency that hits at great payoff time after we established her as just a straight up badass. Then she’s a straight up badass with omega level power.
Cyclops character arc could stand getting dirt under his fingernails like this.

in the comic, the adversary needed to remove Storm and Forge from the "chessboard" in order for his plans to work. So he created an alternate dimension or something similar for them to live in. Read Life and Death and then check out The Fall of the Mutants (Uncanny Xmen 225, 226, 227)

Hey, just a quick question for you guys at the break room and for anybody else who has to cash this comment. Would you prefer some type of actual reference to time passing or otherwise like how long from like an episode to an episode time has passed or do you want to just leave it like you can I have to figure it out on your own so you have an idea how long time is pass I can I know some people usually have issues when they see an episode back to back and if it was an obvious long time they just go kind of weird this happened so quickly because in my opinion, the whole issue with the second half with Forge and storm because it took place originally in the last episode I’m actually thinking that it has been quite a while not a couple of weeks. It’s probably been a while between one moment and the other just because of the way Forge and storm dynamic was playing out

Did ya'll catch Roberto letting slip that his family was supportive of Mutants and he would just pretend he didn't like them so he wouldn't be lobbied in? His not using his powers so 'his family' don't find out, is bull. He's not using his powers because he personally doesn't want to be a Mutant and is trying to stay as close to 'normal' as possible. It makes him saying he doesn't want to even be himself to Jubilee and telling the FOH that he was one of "The good ones" ring just a little louder....

They should've introduced Synch as the new mutant instead of Sunspot. Then they could've still checked their new diversity hire box but at the end of the season Jubilee could've left with Synch and founded Generation X. But now because they don't think things through you have Morph shapeshifting into New Mutants-era Magik meaning that the New Mutants exist but it was founded WITHOUT Sunspot as a founding member.

hahaha the one thing that made me LOL and really be concerned for Storm… was after the dinner date with Forge and the bisen chilie… i’m sure it was great, but gurllllllll You gonna eat chilie then go horseback riding???? that is a diarrhea emergency. We all know this token character will get her powers back in the end, right? The showrunners didn't just prematurely and incorrectly upgraded her to omega level only to depower her for a long time. They even gave her two episodes for her to play out her drama when the Lifedeath arc was so insignificant in the comics.
While the writers have done a good job trying to compress these large stories into the time allotted, I feel like this was the first episode where they really bit off way more than they could chew. These two stories could easily have been their own full episodes, and they sped through the emotional moments so fast that I didn't have time to actually process and feel what the characters were supposed to be feeling, especially with the romances.
The more I watch this show the more I don’t want the X-men in the MCU.
Very laughable. Too political to be X-men. Thats like too progressive for Star Trek. It’s not Batman it’s ptsd. It’s too religious to be Star Wars. It’s not Superman. It’s just about the influence of foster parents. That was a terrible James Bond movie. All it was is gadgets girls guns and fighting.
