During my service in the ARMY, I was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I was then attached to a Civil Affairs Unit that allowed me to go outside of "the wire" and perform operations on a daily basis that did not just put me in danger, but also gave me a chance to see how the people of Iraq lived, and also see some of the Historical Places scattered around our area of operations.
Around this time, the area around the Babylonian Ruins was no longer under US control and handed back to the Iraqi Government to control. The area was relatively safe and I believe it was Iraqi Police who were in charge of the Security of the site. At the time I filmed this, they were pretty much thinking that the site would be a great tourist attraction someday. The Civil Affairs Unit I was working with took a trip out there to check out the area and see how things were looking. As you can see, we ended up taking an impromptu tour. Ali our interpreter did his best to tell us about the site, plus a little bit of soldier humor thrown in. Enjoy!!!

At this time, the area was handed back to & secured by the new Iraqi Forces because it is a historical & significant site. @@JangoMike your job was to steal our gold and cash and oil that's why since 2003 u stole a total of 1000 BILLION dollars in gold an cash and oil . u can do a single research about iraqi gold and guess what? U will find USA soldiers standing on our gold all over the research. If YOU didn't steal that's doesn't mean OTHERS didn't.
