Thinking 🤔 of the farmers in the storms path. We all care about farmers. Keeping them in our prayers!!
Glad to hear the storms passed y’all by.
Nice! Good to see a follow up to the skid
Good to hear y'all safe. Ya never know when you have to hide it in the field, always need a shovel on standby. 😂👍👍
Montezuma Tool box is the king of organization -you are correct- worth every penny 👍🏻🇺🇸💯%
10 million acres of crops destroyed - yes, you all were highly blessed. Really interesting to see you line up those ears and show the height and count - what you look for. You are going to be shocked when you see CR. Take some film there. Hi Molly, missed ya.
Thanks guys
thankful yall are ok
Great video Ben and Andrew
Very good video as always Ben
Good job!
I'm glad the storms went around you!! Truck turn out awesome. Its nice to have everything organized. You got it when you need it. Great vid as always 👌 catchya at the next one. Be safe!!
Love the old mini dump truck! My grandfather just gave me one of his old farm trucks very similar to your dump truck, but just a flatbed without dumping capability for me to use getting my own hay farm started. I’m looking forward to breathing new life into it and making it a working truck again! I’ll keep it until it rots away, and then bury it in the hay!
Daniel B resurrecting old stuff is always satisfying. Let me know how it goes.
Always nice to see the truck its awesome looking if you ever need another tool box extreme tools makes a really good box we used them in the oilfield a lot oh and happy to hear the storm missed you guys
On the gas can,,,,, install a car valve stem in the back top part. Remove the core. This works awesome for venting the can. You can remove the cap and it's just like the old style cans. I also put a rubber cap (made for chairs legs) on the pour end to cap it. You'll thank me after you do this👍👍👍👍.
Good info in this video, thanks for sharing and I'm glad the storm missed you👍👍✌️
Budd 56 thanks for the tip!
You could add a side facing work light on the headache rack next to the rear facing light.
Glad you missed the really bad storm north of you.
Great job with the camera Andrew
Thanks for the tool skid review. Sounds like you planned it out well if you only had 1 complaint.
Morning Ben,
Awesome tool skid! Think about a Goldenrod (496-5) Fuel tank Filter with Replacement Water Block Element (carry a spare filter and the wrench to change it) keep the fuel as clean as possible, nothing like chasing a dirty or water in the fuel issues when time is tight! This ULSD Diesel gets crap growing in it and needs to be filtered out! Hint start inspecting the diesel tanks on your Equipment for crap! That's another issue that can creep up ya! Be SAFE!
Great video as always. If you could get some footage of the bin pad forming and pour that would be neat
wingo pinkerton I will do my best!
Midland vs CB Radios on the farm... We still use CB radios especially during the harvest season. Undoubtedly the CBs disappoint us every season. Sometimes you cannot even hear when next to the combine and other times when you are on the other side of the field. We are just so pot committed with CBs between the combine, grain carts, big trucks, utility trucks, etc. .... hard to make the switch. Look forward to your feedback from using the Midlands during harvest
Chizmar Farms I’m thinking they should work out great.
Nice setup
I really like the idea that it comes off when it's not needed and it's transferable. When my work truck wrecked I was so lost until I got my new truck setup.
I don’t like going without the truck.
Trucks are the Swiss army knife of the world. And I'm definitely building a similar setup for my truck
@@TinManKustoms let me know how it turns out!
You forgot to put farmers best friend in your tool box balling wire
Ben. Weld 4 to 6 inches pieces steel pipe to your chain wack ? then you would some place to store your long handle tools (shovel)....Glad the storm missed your place !
Six Toes not a bad idea!
Always go to the quarry with no fuel first load and fill up after that 😜
farmermatt629 the 454 needs filled about every load.
Thanks for the video, a nice break during my derecho clean up. Beginning to hate trees and chainsaws. Mount your vise to a flat plate that is on a square tube to fit in hitch receiver, makes a great base can’t move whole truck when using vice.
Michael Stark I’ve been seeing pictures and it sure looks like a mess.
iowANFarmer Indeed it is, we are all sailing on the same boat up here. Lots of grain bins, barns, and most crops gone. Empty bins for future crop storage a great target for wind.
Michael Stark what do you think yields will be in the down crop? Will it rot?
iowANFarmer I have heard a lot of talk of saving for silage, or trying to combine in one direction to save. I don’t know how you would find that much demand and storage for that much product. Also depends on rain we get from now on. Lots of questions! What I have seen locally the ears weren’t filled well because it was so dry, stalks were already firing and leaves straight up. It’s a heck of a challenge, beans are in far better shape, corn looks like you rolled fields with a land roller. Plus lots of bins are gone, one guy lost 4 million bushel of storage. Wish I had the answers.
Bandit is handsome as ever. :)
Went to look at cattle around where u are and I saw your crop plot! I’m from Illinois and make farmin videos too
7th Gen Farmer thanks!
Cole the Cornstar's farm got hit pretty bad! Big silo damage
Hey Ben Get yourself some 2 x 3 steel tubing and cut yourself some 1/2" plate to mount your Vise on, I promise you once you do you will find yourself using the heck out of it!
Hank I can see that too!
Great truck n crops review👍I am surprised no water tank for hand washing/drinking, I also have rubbish bins one rubbish other recycling as I can get 10 cents per can/bottle.
Jamie Shields that’s a good idea.
Probably not worth it, great setup as it is, but you could add just a couple inches to the front between the skid and headache rack. That would solve your shelves and handy man jack. What's that hadle of a shovel 1.5 inches plus material thickness. Great skid.
"This is the jack it up and lube box"...
Yes that old Chevy dump is badash
Hello 👋 bandit
What's up
That dump truck is in great shape for the age - mid 90s?
He did NOT say 5 ton was a legal load, He merely noted that the truck would haul it and the box hoist would dump the aggregate.
BILL UPSTATE NY shhhhhhhhh
"Legal load" is a funny thing on Iowegian gravel roads when the Quarry is only a mile and a half away in Flatlandia... my quarry is 4 miles away but 750 vertical feet below my place on a paved highway, I'd never get away with that. ;)
My grandpa has a field near churdan Iowa and his field is standing but one right across the road is completely laying down crazy how that works
Aiden Westcott hybrid?
iowANFarmer my grandpa uses Dekalb but I don’t know what the other persons was
Don’t know if that’s what you meant but that’s the most I’ve been told lol
Hello 👋 Molly
@iowANFarmer what brand sunglasses you got?
Hi
Where did you get that toolbox that's on the left side of your flat bed?
Hardware store. It’s a Montezuma
Did you guys get hit by the storms recently ?
How big of a bin are you building? Also what brand?
Michael Murphy sukup 32k twin to the one next to it.
New gas cans SUCK!!!
Weres the 9670sts
When is bandit gonna review dog biscuits?
farmermatt629 hahah
Hey could you please send me the address of your family farm
Where are the box of condoms???
4k isn’t much at all for a setup like that. If we’re being serious.
Why would an American farmer buy a Japanese truck
