    Hey thanks for the review. Question : can I only use it to cool down the water and then mix the formula separately in a bottle ? Those can I only wash the container with water and soup with out sterilize it?

      Hey! Thankyou for your comment 😊
      Firstly I am so sorry for the delayed reply.
      So I have always put the hot water and the powder formula into the Nuby rapid cool flask and mixed and cooled in one go. That's also the instructions on Nubys website and NHS guidelines say formula should be mixed with water at least 70 degrees so I haven't personally cooled just the water in the flask and then mixed the formula in the bottle. With regards to cleaning, again per Nubys instructions it says to wash the flasks in warm soapy water and again based on NHS guidelines we've always sterilised afterwards. I hope this is helpful? 😊

    hi might I ask something if that's ok. I have the Tommee tippee version of this and after a few weeks the battery died and the light doesnt come on. I can't change the battery it's sealed. Does the nuby rapid cool flask allow you to change the battery? thanks in advance

      @donnagriffin7968  Před rokem

      Hey, of course that's alright! The Nuby is also a sealed unit so I don't believe the battery can be changed but I've been using mine 5-6 times a day for 6 months and the light still works so we've not had to look into the battery. Have you tried exchanging your one for a new one as I would have thought the battery should last longer than a few weeks?
      Hope this helps? Thanks 😊

      @@donnagriffin7968 ah thanks for the super quick reply. I will just order the nuby one I think. I see there are 3 stages of light instead of two stages on the tommee version as well. You ave been really really helpful

      Anytime, glad I was able to help 😊 I know the tommee Tippee one is new to the market so perhaps they're having some teething issues but if I was you I'd still try to get my money back as it's clearly faulty. I hope you get on better with the Nuby one 🤞 have a lovely day 😊

      Hey, thanks for your comment ☺️ at the time we were only doing one night feed, the nuby rapid cool needs to be washed and sterilised and left 3 hours between each use so if you're wanting to use for multiple night feeds I recommend getting a couple so you can always prepare bottles quickly and easily 😊 we have a total of 3. I hope this helps ☺️

    Hey great video! I had a question please. Once you have made a feed, can you make another one or you have to wait 3hrs to make the next feed? Also do you have to wash and sterilise it before using it again?

    • @donnagriffin7968
      @donnagriffin7968  Před rokem +1

      Hey, aww thankyou! 😊 Yes once the flask has been used you have to leave it 3 hours before it can be used again. I wash and sterilise the flasks after every use (I have 3 flasks in total). I have done a shorter video on how I wash and sterilise the flasks if that helps at all :) x

    I have been using this same method for a few days now and im a new parent so im still getting used to everything. There are a couple of things i would like to openly ask you if thats okay?
    When you put the hot water in the flask Nuby says it only stays above 70c for 2 hours. So if you're taking your flask up for a night feed and your baby wants a feed after 2 hours of making the flask then the water will not be hot enough to kill the bacteria in the formula.
    Secondly I have noticed when using the rapid cool pressing the button to check the temperature performs differently when you turn the rapid cool upside down for 5 seconds and allow the formula to sit on the thermostat for a bit. The green logo takes longer to appear from yellow. When you made up the formula you shook up the bottle and only waited around 10 seconds until the green logo appeared when the Nuby says it should take 2 mins. Have you tried holding it upside down and then pressing to check the temp?

      Hey 👋 thanks for your message. Happy to answer your questions as best as I can but I don't represent Nuby, this is just how I've been doing things 😊 also congratulations on your little one!
      With the night feeds, my thinking was if you're out and about you'd have a flask of freshly boiled water and use this on the go, then a night feed surely was the same. For me I would boil the kettle and take the flasks upstairs at around 11 o'clock and my little one would have a night feed at 2. If it's a good flask it should keep the water temperature (I found this link which will hopefully be helpful. It says about water in a sealed flask should be good for several hours www.nhs.uk/conditions/baby/breastfeeding-and-bottle-feeding/bottle-feeding/formula-milk-questions/#:~:text=The%20boiling%20water%20should%20kill,when%20your%20baby%20needs%20it.) Hopefully that works but it's on the NHS website.
      I haven't tried turning it upside down so will give that a go and see if it changes the cooling times but the video you commented on I poured the water from the kettle in at 2 minutes and checked it was green at 3.36 so it took 1 minute and 36 seconds for that bottle to cool. Nuby says it'll be ready in as little as two minutes but I'd presume there are factors that'll affect the cooling time (how long has the kettle been boiled, has the water naturally started to cool down, the size of the bottle, etc).
      When I first started using the flasks I would also test some of the milk on my wrist just to make sure it was cooling to a drinking temperature so if you're worried it'll be too hot you could do that? Or leave in the flask for a little longer but we've found when it's gone green it's good to go. Hopefully this helps and thankyou for suggesting turning the flask upside down, I'll definitely give that a go 😊 have a lovely day!

    Does the cooling flask need charging? If not how does it cool?

    • @donnagriffin7968
      @donnagriffin7968  Před 5 měsíci

      Hey! No charging required ☺️ you just wash them in warm soapy water and sterilise and leave 3 hours between each use. Hope this helps ☺️

    A health care worker said that putting the powder in boiling water kills good bacteria, have you heard this or is it nonsense?

    • @donnagriffin7968
      @donnagriffin7968  Před rokem

      Heyy, I hadn't actually heard that before. According to the NHS website it says
      "Step 2: Boil the water. Then leave the water to cool for no more than 30 minutes, so that it remains at a temperature of at least 70C."
      There's various articles online saying you should and shouldn't use boiling water so I'm not totally sure tbh and I'm not a professional so I don't want to say one way or the other. This is just how I've interpreted the NHS website and how I've made up my bottles 😊 hope this helps
