Best thing about this design is how you show it can stop at full press, just letting sit for ten seconds and it will keep squeezing with no effort while you are cutting more fruit. Might try flipping the fruit halves wrong way around so the cut side is up. Then the press squeezes and flips it inside out. Seems unintuitive but you will get more citrus oil pressed from the outer peel which is more flavorful and fragrant. The little hand lever lemon presses tell you to do this and it works very well.

You know, I rewatched this after your reply... And realize it's brilliant. Timing of kitchen work is a skill. And realizing that you should be cut while it's continuing to squeeze makes perfect sense.

I have a Zulay citrus press. It's very well made, very robust, easy to use and easy to clean. Of course you have to put the handle all the way up, otherwise it will fall down! Why make an issue out of this?

Because he is honest and straight forward and he's entitled to his own opinion whether you like it or not. I'm glad he pointed it out because it could cause problems for some users. Imagine using that around a toddler who might stick a hand in there and end up getting smashed. Or an elderly person who may not have the reflexes to pull their arm or hand away fast enough. It's a very nice juicer but may not be the best option for everyone.

Seems like the cons are a non issue with common sense. When you're finished using it, leave the handle down.
