    Acidic fruits and plastic. Not a good idea. Wish somebody would do an all stainless steel vertical juicer....

    I like the creamy texture orange juice a vertical juicer makes with the pith. Tastes much better imo.

    Hey John. Off topic, but I saw once I think on your ch where you use a similar device (the Olympic) to juice beets with one whoop. I can't find that video or that device on youtube or the web. I don't know the name of the device, but it made juicing beets sooo ez by the looks of it. Do you remember that video or know of the device I'm referring to? If I could ever get that I would juice beet more.

      I havent juiced beets with any press style juicer. It wont work.. I have juiced pomegranates in one fall swoop with the Juicer used in this episode - the Olympus.

    are there any plastic bits on the citrus press? what are the white parts made of?

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  Před 5 lety +8

      On the olympus citrus press, the white part is powder coated paint. Its heavy cast-iron steel that is powdered coated so it does not rust. No plastic.

      living, alkaline juice filled with electricity, minerals, carbohydrates, astringent properties. Store bought, dead, heated 'pasteurized' juices are one thing, freshly juiced oranges are a totally different ball game... unless you are using crap oranges that have been sitting on the shelves at the supermarkets for a few weeks, sure.
