This channel exists to document unit counters within StarCraft 2. Tya's Unit Tournament features epic battles between units in StarCraft 2, using music from the game's soundtrack. Units are chosen from Protoss, Terran and Zerg forces, or a coop commander such as Raynor, Nova, Artanis, or Kerrigan. Units will independently use their abilities, in a basic way. All units use Legacy of the Void stats, the same units you'd see in SC2 esports controlled by the likes of Serral, Maru, and ByuN. The resource beneath vespene is the unit's cost in the mod I run on the SC2 arcade, Direct Strike. Enjoy! - Hry

I was just coming down here to say, once again Alarak benefits from the other Alaraks weakening the enemy enough for him to get the heals.

finally this guy used coop version of Tychus not the weakass campaign version
@@MadnessJackey pretty certain it's always been the CoOp version, its just tychus isnt a very strong hero by himself, esspecially in this setting. Great DPS, some strong but linited AoE, but lowish health and zero sustain. He usually loses due to the grenade 1 shoting a small portion of the enemy army, and then not having anything to deal with the remaining swarm.
I like how Artanis said "entaro Zeratul" at the end of the battle and Zeratul is the next hero
Even more fitting since, just like in the lore, Zeratul dies
And I don't know what en taro actually means, but since En taro tassadar refers to a dead person, I'll just assume that Artanis was already talking about Zeratul in past tense.

Tychus is actually pretty good, as long as he is not alone/vs tempest/ww/reaver.
Tychus is normally bad because he's grenade doesn't 1 shot a lot of unit and he doesn't have any other ability for survivability or more dps.
This time he had 3 of himself so could actually melt bunch of roaches
I was hoping it'd have Dehaka in this as a silly round. I expected one though, three just made me laugh at what a slaughter it was about to be.

Only other unit i have seen laugh at 50 roaches like dehaka would be the odin. The area ability on that thing is insane.

No. They dont. They have too low range to shoot effectively on one target and dahaka regenerates too fast. You need stacking units to defeat him.
There was a Dehaka trio vs 400 roaches and they managed to kill one, an absolute win for the roaches if you ask me.

@@hungcuong606 When he eats an air unit he gains an anti-air beam. Maybe a mix of mech ground and anti-armor air, Stalkers and Vikings? He eats the Stalkers, gains Armored which they are both strong against.

@@13g0man he doesn’t gain the armored stat from eating armored unit he gain bonus damage against armored what you thinking are mechanical unit and even then it not armored stat but +3 armor
Dehaka is biological, heroic and massive so corrupter and scourge would probably do wonder on him
I don’t think anything on the ground can beat him as his ability allow him to get close clear any unit easily except for maybe 5 hybrid dominator

Idea for the next one, Hero teams vs x number of enemies.
So Renor's raiding team from the campaign, Artanis/Alarak/Fenix, and so on and so on.
Also no surprise Fenix and Dehaka are the only heroes where none of the 3 died.

I like finally seeing Artanis in this. Would love to see more of Tychus a Fenix's other heroes in their co-op team, Gary, maybe some Zagara, and more campaign heroes like Raynor and Vorazun
Heroes really got a buff in LOtV. Like I'm trying to imagine Nova or Tychus from WoL doing anything to those roaches (well, 3 shredder grenades would do a lot but still)

You should make it equal supply, otherwise heroes like Fenix and Dehaka will just be a bit silly. Seriously, one Fenix could beat probably like 400 of them. And Dehaka? Forget about it.
Also that Alarak fight was the most beautiful thing I've seen in my entire life.

if you macro aka pull lowest hp dehaka back (you only need to to it once) not a single one will die against 500 roaches.

and for zeratul, he is a stealth unit and even in lore is not a powerhouse in a direct fight though he IS competent, makes sense he would lose in a direct assault where his stealth is useless.

I find it slightly odd/annoying that Zeratul isn't given all 3 charges of blink (since he is 3/3, meaning 3 artifacts), but Nova is given all 3 stacks. If the Zeratuls blinked in, they wouldn't have taken damage while moving in, and they'd also probably have been closer together for the first shadow slash, meaning less roaches to damage them over all

I thought Alarak would get vaporized by the roaches because his splash isn't enough to erase them; I didn't expect him to get strengthened by other Alaraks dying.
Next time you do a video of hero fights, with Dehaka the proper question would be: How many time takes to dehaka to obliterate?

Not sure if it’s possible, but I’d love to see an apex predator prestige of Zagara in one of these! Also, pride of augustgrad is by far my favorite unit. Not sure if there’s any battles where he would be applicable, but it’d be fun to see

You should do Alarak vs Fenix and clip some of the audio from the campaign to show how their would actually pan out.
I think Fenix is great at dealing with death balls, but Alarak is better at 1v1. 😁

Kaldalis is technically a Champion or a half hero. There should had been 6+ of them.
So, is there a reason why Tychus doesn't get his +5 upgrades, or Zeratul his P2 +103 upgrades? (Assuming this is co-op Zeratul and not campaign Zeratul)
Also, why is it in one battle the roaches were shown with +2 instead of +3 upgrades?
Now I want to see the same matchup with 65 roaches, since many of them barely survived 😂
