R9 had amazing stats before the injury (roughly 1 goal per game from his debut till theage of 22). His goals per game ratio post injury isn't too bad either and compable to most strikers that are lauded today. The rest though, you're right

Bergkamp is getting overrated. Week to week he wasn't all that hot and he had some very forgettable seasons in good Arsenal sides. A lot of nostalgia with him.

Bergkamp was the deep-lying striker while Henry got most of the goals. That was always his position which is why alot of people would say he is more of a CF/CAM rather than a ST. More importantly, he is more of the most technically gifted players and the goals he scored were ridiculous.

Kyle Walker has more personal accolades from Spurs than anywhere else, Gareth Bale has the shared record for most Player of the Year awards ever and both were won at Spurs, and Modric was heralded world wide as a world class player at Tottenham, hence the massive transfer fee.
Doing well or even better elsewhere doesn't mean what you did before isn't highly regarded. It's Walker, Bale and Modric, top players who were seen as top players when they were at Spurs and played hundreds of games for the club. They aren't some unknown youngsters that only did anything at Madrid. This is also a best 11, so their ability and performances are or should be the main things that are considered. Not team achievements won in much better teams. The regular use of team achievements by fans as a way to compare individual players is both strange and not very useful.
@@kb5509 Bale has a shout for his two solid seasons before securing his move away where he bettered his game… Modric was looked at as a flop purchase by Real at the time, they developed his game to be what he became, and Walker is clear simply because we’ve never really had a solid RB, he was alright at spurs but he improved his game with City
For me it depends on the formation. With two up top I would go with Henry and Bergkamp. With a forward three: Henry - Kane - I guess Bale, but me personally don't like him and would rather have Son, Pires, Ljungberg or even Overmars as the third man

People really sleep on how incredible Ledley King was. He was one of the best defenders in the league when he wasnt even training. His pace and ball recovery was amazing. That tackle against Robben is just stunning. If it wasnt for his injury, he would of been incredible for both England and Spurs. Hard to say whether or not a bigger club at the time would of come in for him if he was fit. But I'd like to think he has one club loyalty unlike another CB in this list.

Anyone who says Kane over Henry knows nothing about football. Kane requires others to help create most of his goals, relying on pens a lot of the time. Henry Doesn't rely on others, most of his goals he created himself, could take on an entire defence on his own, speed, strength, skills, dribbling, free kicks, headers, countless long distance goals. He is simply the greatest striker in English footballs history without question. Scoring more goals doesn't make you the best player, Walcott has scored more goals than Ibrahimovic in the prem does that make him better... no.
