Yay! A Pratchett fan! Love your collection! I totally agree with being thrifty when buying books. I've found most of my collection that way :)
Half the fun is seeing what you can find when book thrifting 😊. It’s the journey not the destination 😂
I just finished Book 1 Age of Myth by a Michael J Sullivan and I absolutely loved it. My favorite character is Malcom. He is hilarious! I can’t wait to read the next installment, Age of Swords. Great series so far.
Love seeing the tour, thanks for sharing!
Great shelf! I would recommend the fantasy by Adrian Tchaikovsky, especially the Shadows of the Apt series.
Delightful! Truly enjoyed this
I just recently started collecting Warcraft novels, not world of Warcraft, just Warcraft. Some of them are getting really hard to find.
Season's Greetings from my fantasy realm to yours! Thanks for all the great book content!
Thank you!
Watching this on 3/3/22 after the Surprise Year of Sanderson Reveal and yeah... "prolific" almost doesn't do him justice :D
lol no kidding, he needs his own set of adjectives for writing.
Watching your video again. I met Jim Dale when he came to a city near me, and performed some scenes from the books. It was great. I'm finishing up The Blade Itself, and looking forward to more Abercrombie. I recommend the Void series by Peter F. Hamilton, for science fiction. The world building is awesome.
Thanks Teresa! That’s awesome that you met Jim Dale!
I’m glad you are liking First law. It’s one to those series for me where the audiobook outshines the physical read. Steven Pacey is such an amazing narrator.
I’ll have to check if I got that series by Peter f. Hamilton. I had a massive bookhaul awhile ago and got about 1000+ sci fi fantasy books.
Wheel of Time Juniper covers is a must have! Cheers!
I agree with you on George Martin ASOIAF. The first 3 books gets 5 ❤️. But books 4 & 5, oh man.
Love the Pratchett hardcovers. Only have a couple myself. Have to decide whether to collect those or the hardcover reprints. I get plenty of books used but have gotten more into 'curating' my collection and condition and binding are a big deal for me. I pass up alot of thrift finds during to stickers or yellowing...though my finds to not seem to be as good as yours!
I recommend also checking estate sales/moving sales. I got a lot of mine at an estate sale.
If you're still interested in new SciFi for your shelf then I'd recommend Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe!
I'm a book thrifter, as well. I also found my Black Company books and the 1st 4 books in the Lightbringer series at Savers/ Value Village.
Great to see another Dan who enjoys book thrifting 😋. I very rarely buy a book for full price at a book store. Amazing the books that can be found at a used book store, best form of recycling.
A well done book tour. Very nice collection. I’m not at all envious😆
Cheers! My many book hauls recently will mean I’ll have to give a 2022 update on the collection.
@@TreeBeardBookReviews then I look forward to watching the updated tour.
I have such book envy! Amazing collection!
Thank you! I do have some big collection updates coming next week.
@@TreeBeardBookReviews ooo looking forward to it!
Red Sister is amazing! I hope it makes it on your reading list for this year 🤗
I own the hard cover I definitely want to read book of the ancestor
@@TreeBeardBookReviews I saw 😍 The art over for those editions are gorgeous!
But if are anything like me you might have a TBR pile to last you at least 2 years 🙈 So I’m hoping it will be one of this year’s reads 🤗
Haha ya I have a TBR a mile long. It is a series I really want to read. I’d love to see if I can add it. I’m gonna take a look at my reading spreadsheet 😋
Nice video and a nice collection.
Thanks Teresa!
Nice collection man!!
Thank you!
Nice tour! :)
Thank you!
Wicked collection! Just subscribed…✌️
Thank you and thanks for the sub! I'll definitely be doing a revisit in 2022 when my collection expands.
Great collection! I hope you do DT next year, I’d love to chat with you about it
Oh yes, looking forward to it.
Love your book collection/library! Love the Wheel of Time books as well. Oohh, nice Sanderson books! I only have the regular cover for the The Way of the Kings! Where did you got the seemingly special ones?
Thank you! I got the leather bound way of kings from the Kickstarter Brandon launched. I believe the copies can now be ordered in his website!
I love the Brandon Sanderson shelf! And I’d love cosmere related videos?
I’m almost finished my first read of Warbreaker and I’m obsessed with it and can’t wait for the author to finish the series! And I’d love to get the leather bound edition like yours, it makes my heart happy every time I see it :)
Have you read The emperor’s soul by him?
Thank you so much. It’s definitely one of my favourite shelves. I also cannot wait for Brandon to expand Warbreaker. I loved the magic in that book. I do have a cosmere video planned for early October, I’m not going to spoil it but you may want to watch. Check back around October 9th!
I have read emperors soul, long time ago though. Definitely time for a reread of my arcanum unbounded.
@@TreeBeardBookReviews little update, I finished Warbreaker and it’s one of my fave books!! What a ride :)
Oooh I’m looking forward to that!
Yes, totally do a reread :)
Since I’ve only read the emperor’s soul and warbreaker, and I want to read mistborn and stormlight archive, which should I read next?
That’s awesome! Warbreaker is so good, I love Lightsong. He’s probably one of my favourite cosmere characters of all time. Maybe I’ll reread Emperors soul and put out a review in November 😉
@@TreeBeardBookReviews cool beans! Sounds great man :)
FYI: Stand By Me was an adaptation of the story “The Body”. You mention “The Road” several times but I think you are actually referring to “Roadwork” which is a completely different story. There is a book titled “The Road” by Cormac McCarthy, which is excellent.
Yeah I did get it mixed up. I have seen the Road with Viggo Mortensen, great movie you are right.
whoa...is that an advanced hardcopy of Dawnshard from Brandon Sanderson? I thought the printed copies aren't out yet.
I got it by backing the Kickstarter for the Way of Kings leatherbound edition I own
Where do you get your bookshelves? I'm having problems finding shelving that can support my hardcover addiction
I got these ones from JYSK. However, I think these models are now discontinued, but they’ve probably been replaced with something similar. I think I may end up in the future building new bookshelves
Der Buchhandel Berlin Germany
Impressive collection! I enjoyed the video as well, but 40 minutes are too long for me. Maybe it could've been divided into 2-3 parts, or the commentary per book could've been for other videos. A quick rundown and walkthrough would've worked for the time I have on CZcams.
thanks for feedback! I plan to do another bookshelf tour in the future as my collection has grown. I definitely plan to go shorter or a series.
@@TreeBeardBookReviews great, man! Looking forward to that.
Liseys Story is BORING and way too confusing. Had to give up on that one. I feel like Stephen king says it's his favorite book because he has to. I mean...it's a book dedicated to his wife. How can he not say it's his favorite?
