the silver and gold chest tactic greatly works for prometheus acronomy
It also gives a better chance at getting exotic scrolls, since now we have a 1.6% chance at getting one for every silver or gold chest you open in the dark sea.

I have all my deckhands equipped with rusty fishing hooks and I can confirm it's a good method.
I prefer using eight frayed lead lines, stack that with over 90% stability, and the dark sea weather becomes a joke, the only real threats are Atlantean ships and if you get unlucky and get hit by the lightning to many times, but even then you can stack it with a max level ship builder deckhand and your ship will be able to survive for massively long periods out in the dark sea.
@@xanthiusdrake2775 combine that with a warship or strong hull and your brig becomes immortal with 100% stability
@@stupidlysimple 100% stability is overrated, even if your ship's stability is at 100%, it will still take magic damage, and it will also take damage from tornadoes and lightning.
@@xanthiusdrake2775 well yeah but I made a fortress brig with 100 stability and resilience, though I would recommend lead lines more. Like COMBINE both and you become immortal
@@stupidlysimple My ship currently has 96% stability, with full frayed lead lines, so it only takes 0.016% weather damage.
Question, I could be wrong but wouldn't a graced fishmonger be better? since you need the fish to be both rare and massive for it to be legendary?

uhhh ive tried the gold and silver chest method pre nerf its prtty good i suggest if u wanna farm them go warrior and use shield fly bug to easily climb tall islands

My best investment was a insanity 4 treasure island, filled to the brim with gold/silver chests, popped luck 5 and looted so much my inventory started lagging, also had enough time on the way back to sell my dark sealed chests, best run i ever done, got 1 acrimony, 6 dark sea essentias, 2 legendary fish scales, and a trillion gems, also a bunch of tier 2 enchant scrolls since it can drop from the gold/silver chests in dark sea
All of that stuff and you only got one acrimony??? I'm never gonna get one ;-;
@@rl3yxlol368 True but honestly the values of everything else i got in the trip is like x2-3 acrimonies, i got a TON of powerfull scrolls, so its more about value then the actual plant

i dont think Vetex changed how they worked
Vetex has made it so that luck 4 potions can't effect how many legendary fish you get, but can still effect the rates of drops the same, and luck 5 is still the same

To get legendary fish do you need to fish in insanity 1 zone or can u stay in insanity 0
Massives are limited to Insanity 1. You can still find Goldens anywhere but it’s obviously much rarer
how do you get the new rod?
Another good method is farming rivals for legendary charts they have high chances of lengedary scales
I’ve been doing that. Going into low player count bronze sea servers and slaughtering my rival a billion times. (He stands no chance even tho his wind magic counters my poison. No health can’t take a warlock rushing him)

no, but it'll prevent you from getting 2 scales instead of 1 because it cooks the fish(I think)
Used Fishmonger Toughen and then luck 3, you can get 80% massive fish.
Luck stopped affecting fish I think
it's still on effect i tested it out using luck 3 and it give me a massive boost to get massive
I think ur just lucky my dude - I used luck 4 in the dark sea and got like none :D (toughened fishmonger too)

Can't you only get acrimonies from normal chests?
Nah you can get them from all 3, golden being the most common method since they give the best chance, especially when combined with luck 4 or 5

you could never get leg fish with luck 5(it only allows you to fish up items) but idk about Sunken
You would only get items with luck 5
Though its the best luck for farming sunken gear

luck 5 guarantees items only during fishing
luck 4 allows u to minmax gem reagent effects (get the max %) and increases golden variants and giants i think, NOT MASSIVE FISH tho

What do legendary fish scales do?
It's the reagent to brew luck 4 and 5 potions, you need 5 scales for luck 4 and 10 scales for luck 5
allows u to brew high quality (4 and 5) luck potions
luck 4 allows u to minmax gem reagent buffs (get the max amount of the substat percentage) and increases gold fish and giant (NOT MASSIVE FISH) droprates
luck 5 apart from giving the most luck, it guarantees every fishing to be items instead of fish, great for grinding sunkens apart from pity

they can potentially be legendary fish which give scales when cooked or allowed to rot(let them rot for 2 scales instead of 1)
