The correct name of the referenced paper is: Preliminary discussion of the logical design of an electronic computer instrument Burks, Arthur W. (Arthur Walter); Goldstine, Herman Heine; Von Neumann, John
I just watched John Carmack on Joe Rogan's podcast. It was great to see one of my tech heroes being interviewed and living up to their reputation which then made me realise I'd never looked up Fred Brooks on CZcams. This was one of the top results, not as many views as I'd expect but still, like Carmack, Brooks lives up to his reputation. Someone with staggering insight into the problems of software development.
