@@breadyblox2263 At a reported price of around $30,000 per drone (which is dirt cheap military spending wise) they aren't all that much however what they are is very cost effective. If they get through and hit a target it's a bonus but for the most part if taken out by a more expensive projectile such as a Stinger missle (around $100,000+) or something like a Patriot at a couple million per missle you can see how this crappy drone can do a lot of damage to a countries air defence system by essentially wasting missles which should be used on higher value targets (aircraft, cruise missles etc). What noise it makes is irrelevant as it's doing it's job.
The use of such primitive drones in this war has forced a rethink as to the kind of air defence systems countries need as the heavy reliance on missle systems is not sustainable against cheap drones such as these. It's why we have seen a shift in this war back to I guess you could say more primitive air defence systems such as rigging multiple machine guns on the back of pickup trucks and the heavy use of the Flakpanzer Gepard which were designed in the 1960's and considered largely obsolete in modern warfare. I bet the US right now is wishing they hadn't retired all their M163 Vulcans or at least developed a non missle replacement as these would be very handy in Ukraine right now.
So in short, yes very crappy primitive drones but can be very effective in wearing down an enemies air defence network.

Sending explosive drones in to a city is psychotic, period. Gender is irrelevant. People do this because they choose to, excusing their behavior with some faith based notion that invisible evil entities were controlling them is nonsense. Explosives don't make themselves, drones don't fly themse.... well, drones can actually fly themselves, but you get my point. Humans are the only evil part of this story.

All 35 drones targeting Kyiv last night were shot down. Still, some five Ukrainians were injured by the falling debris.
That is sad to hear, but the debris have at least a much lower kinetic energy than the explosion of a drone that hits its target. Energy shields sadly do not exist.

First of all... all of this is the fault of the US and NATO (always!). Besides, Ukraine belongs to Russia anyways since the UdSSR. Also the western world enforces their ideology on Russia by all means... even with nuclear threats!

Nobody hides this fact, that's why you don't just see AA missiles, but mostly cannon fire.
Additionally, comparing AA missiles to the cost of the drone is half the picture, you should also compare it to the damages the drone would inflict if it isn't stopped.
Regarding jamming, it cannot discriminate between Ukrainian and Russian AVs, so there's more of a cost for Russia to use it, since they have an advantage in terms of the aircraft.
