77 combat missions in contested airspace heavily defended by s300 and s400 in an early 4th gen aircraft outnumbered by late 4th gen aircraft with air to air missiles with twice his range? This guy would be a rockstar in any Western airforce. This guy is a rockstar. I think F16 training would take less time than we think for some of these pilots, but they should be instructors more than pilots of the f16 at this point.

    • @mariokingston7999
      @mariokingston7999 Před rokem +47

Rick start really ??? I guess you watch too much movies or is that naive….putting a pilot in a newer aircraft with different avionics with short amount of training is a death wish. When you are trained to operate a particular air, you will be pushed to the limit under heave stress so that your reaction becomes second nature. Now try that in a aircraft with different avionics and see what happens……….maybe his job is just to shoot down gas powered Iranian drones confined to Ukraine airspace and not to venture out behind enemy lines.

A breakdown of Russian leadership & military achievements so far during the war in Ukraine.
*Over 14 months into a 10 day 'special military operation'.
      *Failed to take Kyiv.
      *Failed to remove Ukrainian leadership.
*Changed their strategic plan multiple times after each failure.
*Changed the top General running the war 4 times since the beginning of the war.
*Still have not gained air-superiority despite having a supposedly far superior airforce.
*A number of ships of the Black Sea Fleet either, sunk, or damaged, including the flag-ship Moskva by a country with basically no navy.
*Took, but could not hold, the tiny Snake Island.
*Still trying to take Bakhmut after more than 8 months of trying.
*Significantly boosted NATO membership and strength after Sweden and Finland decided to join the defensive alliance.
*Ensured Ukraine's eventual membership of the EU and, longer term, most likely also into the NATO alliance.
*Suffered massive troop and equipment losses.
*Lost more ground in 1 month then what was taken in 5 months.
*Lost many of their international friends and partners.
*Became one of the biggest arms suppliers to Ukraine from abandoned and captured hardware.
      *Committed multiple war crimes.
*Decided to mobilise an additional 300,000 extra troops at month 7 of the 10 day 'special military operation' and will likely also soon announce a second mobilisation.
*Destroyed their economy for decades to come and turned many of their biggest trading partners against them.
*Could not even defend the most defended bridge in the world.
*Can't defend their military airbases over 500km inside Russian borders.
*Showed regular displays of very poor fire safety and smoking in non-designated areas.
*Resorted to nuclear threats against a non-nuclear nation and the rest of the world.
*Targeted civilians and civilian infrastructure because they have run out of ideas about how to win this war.
*Tactically and logistically incompetent and have a very poor understanding of combined-arms warfare.
*Fast running out of precision strike capability and have limited ability to build more without western supplied parts.
      *Lost Kherson.
*Flushed their future down the toilet. A toilet that was most likely stollen from Ukraine along with a washing machine and a Racoon amongst other things.
*Took Soledar, a small town with a pre-war population of less than 11,000 and made some other very small tactical gains elsewhere on the frontline then talked it up like it's some kind of major strategic military victory.
      *Accidentally bombed their own city.
*Went from 'taking Kyiv in three days' to putting air defence systems on building rooftops in Moscow.
While attempting to 'de-nazify' Ukraine Russia scored an own-goal and nazified themselves.

IMO the F-16 and F-18 are POS. As the RCAF has found out, the F-18 is a true hangar queen. And the F-16 was designed to be a disposable fighter screen for the more expensive and better equipped F-15s.

What a complete stud. This pilot must be a legend throughout all Ukraine 🇺🇦, known by his Callsign.
If he had been with the USAF during the Vietnam War, I can easily see him flying the Sled (F-4 Phantom) as wingman with Colonel Robin Olds (an American Air Force legendary fighter pilot to this day), or flying Wild Weasel missions.
If the post-ejection video footage is authentic, then this pilot is even more of a complete stud. I’ve seen post-ejection interviews with US pilots and none of them had the presence of mind to whip out a smartphone and record their descent from the skies. What the US Military pilots did say - without exception- was that surviving an actual ejection was the most violent experience of their lives and they never wanted to do it again. That said, if he did do this - and it wasn’t staged for propaganda purposes- that’s incredible. The ejection video was the only part of the video I found a bit sketchy. A face so bloody poor guy looks like he just went 15 with Tyson in his prime- but curiously no rivulets of blood to the eyes or mouth. If the footage is real, he cemented legend status just with that.
Either way, this pilot has been putting his life on the line for his country- in capable but still antiquated jets by 5th Gen. standards.

Su-37? No, you mean either an Su-35 or an Su-57. The Su-37 is a real plane that did look like what the news portrayed it as, but it was a prototype technology demonstrator. In the Ace Combat video games, though, it's often used in actual wars just like an Su-35 would be.

While I support this pilot and applaud his commitment and skill it is clear that this interview is simply a propaganda piece made in order to gain sympathy and manipulate public opinion into creating a demand for the west to send F-16's to Ukraine. If in fact the west does send armaments to Ukraine it will mean we are at war with Russia. Do not swallow the propaganda people. 😔✌️
