- Water towers were the greatest navigation aid a little kid in the 1970s had.

Awesome video Don! The water tower in Nowata Oklahoma looked just like the one in my grandmother's back yard in Catoosa, Oklahoma!I was saddened when I found out that they took it down. Agin, great video Brother!
I love those old ones. They remind me of the one on the Warner Brothers lot. Sadly, a lot of them are disappearing.

For sure we could tell how far from the house we were by looking at the water tower.
Absolutely. Even in town, we looked to them for navigation. Maybe we need to make "Water Tower Navigation Team" T-shirts
