I recently discovered your videos and I am OBSESSED! Wonderful videos, thank you for sharing your knowledge and for taking us on the hauls! The rhodochrosite and turquoise necklace is gorgeous! x
Thanks for watching and commenting @jacquis2003!
What an amazing treat!! You showed us how to test for Bakelite in the video. Thank you so very much!!!
I want to make a heart felt suggestion. Please get a jewelry box big enough to put all your jewelry that is inherited or something that you could never ever part with. Gid forbid something happened to you and someone had to come in and go through your jewelry. They would never find the precious pieces mixed with the others. You have a sister . Ifthis is important please think about it. When my son was killed l had no one to give my jewelry to. It has now become unimportant as far as where it goes. We have no oher family but you do.
Hi Gayle~ I don't know how to respond to this. I feel like everything I write sounds off. It's a lot that you are trying to say and I appreciate it. Hugs
Very thoughtful and concise suggestions, to the point and very honest
Dawn...U have taught me SO MUCH Doll...I am having a blast at the thrift stores and flea markets in Ontario, Canada Thank you Thank you
YAY!
I've been watching your videos since you started. Was watching them yesterday while doing jewelry work, but I decided to try out some other channels I've never seen. I wasn't loving it. My 10-year-old grandson walked in. Sat and watched a moment and said, "Now I know why you watch Hudson Vintage so much. The production values. They're a lot better." The fact that he knew the name of your channel alone stunned me. Thought I'd pass on this rare compliment for a jewelry CZcamsr from a 10-year-old boy. Thanks for the high production values. 😃
OMG~ no words!!!
Lovely packing and plant 🪴 I love my Stickers.
Thanks for sharing some great tips - testing Bakelite with 409, how to wear a brooch on a beaded necklace. Absolutely love the Mexican circle bib necklace. Great eye; glad you saw it and bought it!
Thanks for watching and commenting @QuirkyGirl10!
Thanks Dawn what a wonderful treasure hunt you had this week I finally had time to sit and enjoy it! Thank You See you Wednesday!
You too!!
Hi Dawn,🌷 the star sapphire ring 💙 is beautiful! For me, the sterling and mother of pearl necklace is the star of the show this week 🌟 It's just fabulous! Thankyou Dawn, loved every minute. Take care! 💞✌️😘
HI! ❤️
Wow! Neello? Fantastic find, Dawn! A great haul!
Right?!?!
Hi Dawn. Super fantastic finds.🤩🤩🤩So glad that Coral necklace was still there and you could get it.
Me too!!
One of your best thrifting videos. Very enjoyable Dawn. Thank you 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love the Mille fiori pattern at 57:03, I bought one just outside the exit of Erculano Roman ruins in Napoli, mine has the tree in blues/greens I just love the patterns and colours it creates
I am new to your channel and im OBSESSED! You have amazing knowledge and its so interesting to watch you. I did not know Danni has a thrift store. I used to watch her and know she had some personal issues. She kind of disappeared for a while and now i hear you telling us she has a store. Im so excited for her!! Thank you for another great learning experience.
She is the best! I'm obsessed with her videos ha!
Thanx for a great vid once more Dawn. You buy such great stuff, wish someone in Holland would be like you. I am always on the hunt for vintage costume & silver juwelry, but its not a thing over here really. I seem the only one wearing long necklaces combined. Large rings, and now with broches, which I never did. While I have beautiful old vinage and antique ones. What a great tip that was, saw it in one of the vids I watched the past weeks.
You are so welcome!
Hello from Sweden! I have been watching many of your videos for a couple of weeks now. I must say; you are great! I have learnt so much from you! The style of some of the vintage jewelry differs a lot from what we find here in Sweden/Scandinavia from the same time period. I would like thank you for your generosity, sharing so much of your knowledge!
Thank you very much!
I ❤ the amethyst hoops and the coral! Great haul...you have a fantastic eye!

Love everything!! I adore the 70’s necklace. It reminds me of my late sister. She loved jewelry. I also thought the blue necklace was Iría Apfel, I was surprised it was not. Love the earrings! Beautiful treasures!

Thanks for watching and commenting @janelchambers6791!
Hi Dawn. Great video as always 🙂 I'm very new and still learning but just fyi I never had any luck testing Bakelite with 409. Then I read somewhere that they changed their formula and it no longer worked for testing Bakelite. You may want to double check with Simichrome. Cool bracelet regardless.
Well thanks!! I need to figure that out for suure
Love how you cut to the chase with the employees of these places.
Thanks for watching and commenting @Molly-pb2yb!
I believe the green stoned silver ring you were looking at ( one of the small sized rings) is Russian Chrome Diopside. Awesome hall!
I thought so too~ but then thought crystal
I currently have dyed shell jewelry in the dishwasher silverware compartment letting it run repeatedly to wear off some of the peeling color.
AWESOME TIP! Thanks for watching and commenting @lh5677!
Was habt ihr für tolle Geschäfte 🥰
I love the small sizes bracelets!!! They are hard for me to find, please reconsider them. ❤ ty
Beautiful jewelry
Thanks for watching and commenting @tammywood4352!
Wonderful haul. Enjoyed the thrifting. I think The MMA earrings are from the metropolitan museum of art, not the museum of modern Art. I’m in love with the blue lucite necklace. Is this one that will be on the Niche Lady’s live?
Sometimes my mouth does not match my brain. Thanks D
Love, your videos, your biggest fan. May i make a request? When you can, could you put down a dark book, or piece or material of a dark colored hankie, anything you can grab and put it on top of the jewelry counter to lay the pieces on. so that when you are looking at pieces i am not trying to look at a necklace or the glass counter top and also the three glass shelves underneath. This is of course all my problem, just have bad eye sight. thanks so much. Love you, love all the videos. I am learning so much.
This is a great idea!
I love your channel and I'm just starting to learn about and resell jewelry! I have never seen this stone on your channel and hoping someone knew what it is. Looks like bone maybe and has either Chinese or Japanese writing on it. It's on a turquoise necklace. I scored today with a Lunch at The Ritz Sunflower brooch at Goodwill for $5:). Thank you for all your helpful videos❤
Awesome! Thank you!
Update...I discovered that the beads in question on my necklace are Chinese Calligraphy friendship beads!
What size is the 2nd opal ring please? Beautiful finds!! I’ve been finding some fun things lately too. Thanks for sharing! The Niello is wonderful!
5.5 or 6
Hi Dawn. This is Elizabeth and im watching this late but im going back and reviewing your older videos because you are so amazing. I learn so much. Do you still help people identify pieces? Ive got 2 that i have a suspection about but im not sure. They were my grandmothers. Ler me know please. Love you.l
I'm really busy but will be doing evaluations in January
Please take a pic of the circular chain mail necklace on a person. It is so unique and is a must-be-experienced piece to truly appreciate. Please, please, please. Maybe wear it to Wednesday’s auction with a crisp navy, white, black, fascia (any color) button down shirt.
I'm wearing it for awhile, you will see it!
You should partner with that store. Get 1st dibs on all the jewelry then sell it for them online for a commission fee. It would be a match made in heaven.
If only!
Maybe the round earth colored stone bracelet
I just recently started binge watching you. Where did you get the huge loupe? I need one
The drug store!
Hi Dawn. Love those amethyst hoops! My birthstone. Can I only get them at live auction? jw Thanks, Brenda
Yes~ I'm sorry but people would be mad otherwise..
How can we test jade? Does the tester work on it? All my jade is dark green from the 70’s any help would be appreciated
Again awesome finds! What does it mean when you say that migh be a sleeper?
It means they don't know what they have and most people will miss it as well
@HUDSONVINTAGE ohhh that's what it is!! Hopefully you find many like that 🙂
Mother of Pearl ring, and other silver one.

@HUDSONVINTAGE thank you 😊
What about the hoops with the turquoise
Dawn if you see this, it's Jan. 24, did you ever auction that Mexican sterling bib necklace with the mother of pearl? If not I'd be interested in it.
?
Te 70s art necklace is not what you said it was, its rare tiger coral, Please let it go to auction.
THANK you so much for the tip!
Like the centre piece of the necklace or the small beads that are the tiger coral? It's so nice I'm intrigued 🤔
@@fatimalomba799 centerpiece and in the necklace
The fakeilite bracelet is probably a Lucite! As most lucite glows!

All different ways ~ it depends!
Do you still have the horsehair project necklace. I would be interested it.
I have it! I will bring it in soon
Dawn, Recently I purchased a box of jewelry on-line. There are a few things in it that I could not identify. If I send them to you, could you critique them for me.
I could try ~ time is difficult
❤

I am a jewelry maker of natural semi precious stones. I also use shells and pearls. I love vintage style design. Could I send you some examples of my work. I live in South Dakota.

Is the black "glass" beaded necklace Obsidian, which is volcanic glass. It is a protection gem stone. Does the machine register such gemstones as glass? I have never used one of those macines yet but the volcanic glass obsidian does feel like a gemstone. I have a few pieces and i do get confused at times. It is a deeply spiritual gem stone used in religious rituals and is meant to be used for positive healing and focus. Out with the old.
Thanks for watching and commenting @elizabethandiosa4579!
What is a loop?
The Native American necklace with heishi is not real old and the stones look like howlite or magnesite. The red necklace you say is red coral is actually Bamboo coral, it’s dyed.
Thank you!
So Ann
Thanks for watching and commenting @beckymcgraw4056!
Do you clean before you sell especially the sterling
Why do you ask? Patina is better to keep on some things, but not everything. I use simpleshine
@@HUDSONVINTAGE I didn't know if I should clean my older stuff looks dirty and not shiney
I can't believe you passed on the chrome diopside.
Thanks for watching and commenting @sunflowersandpines!

I wonder how you make money on items you pay $20.00 or more on. Would be nice to see how you figure it is worth making a profit.
