@@dioramasscalemodeling Awesome, I like this effect and I want to test it out on a piece of styrene this weekend before I try it on a freshly built model. I have used the hairspray method before but never in layers like this. Super video thanks!
Glad you found it helpful. I used to use single layers but found the effect was so much better with multiple layers starting from dark to light

How long did you wait before you washed with water? Days, hours, minutes? You mentioned the hair spray you wait about 10 minutes. But how long did you let paint dry?
Thankyou, tamiya paint dries quite quickly, so I use a hairdryer to aid drying times it's literally a few minutes and then you can start using the water.

I do have another question, if you don't mind, How did you achieve that rough texture look on smooth plastuc? It looks to have been done before any paint was added? When the video first starts with a white coat, we see a rough textured plastic under the white. Did you achieve that with some sort of putty?
I've been trying to get that texture. I have some creamy putty by testors. But I'm having problems applying it. Close as I can get is with a soft, dence, peice of paint sponge. Maybe I need to lightly sand before primer? Idk?
How did/do you achieve that texture look on this video?
@@showmesomelove3353 this was a test piece and have used it a few times, it has around 5-6 layers of paint on it which has given it this rougher texture. Hope this helps :)
