Woah the memories. I discovered this tune two years ago in a time in which I suffered from a debilitating back injury that severely affected my quality of life. At the same time I was parting ways with someone I trully loved. It brings back memories but in a good way. Reminding me of how bad things were and how bad times always end. A brilliant piece of music.
Ulver used to write songs in a little house in the forest. Now they write songs in an apartment in the city. Totally different songs but still Ulver. great
I very often listen to this during late afternoon, as the sun slowly dies behind the mountains beyond the sea. Extremely beautiful. And yeah, also while role playing.

@damagejackal1 they are actualy quite simple(although all the songs i can play are from this album, so i wouldn't know anything about the others). They are mostly composed of several guitars witch make it sound more complicated than it actualy is. keep trying, you'll get it:)

@o0Evangelion20140o Saying in a general musical sense they are more interesting. They pick a genre every album and make the very best each genre has to offer. Ulver and Metallica's METAL albums are much closer, but overall Ulver has a more interesting output.
+Tradition und Zukunft You can calleit how you want it,folk, acapella, "acoustic nordic black metal", tales from wolves land. Ulver are unique, they started playing Black (beautiful) Metal, then this album and then electronic stuff... wich in my opinion is the higher level, I recomend you Shadows of the Sun.

Neofolk in the most, some people call it dark folk, cause the melancholic tunes, but it's pure neofolk. And in my opinion, Neofolk phase, was the best Ulver's phase (I also like the other albums, Ulver is one of my favorite bands since I was 17, and now I'm 30).
