In this video I take my 1/10 scale Short Course Truck (Traxxas Slash 4x4 VXL) to my local race track to put down some laps….also have a bit of fun bashing later in the video!! - Auta a dopravní prostředky

I’ve been eyeing the slash. Thinking about getting one. Are there any cons to having one?
Not really…..parts are pretty cheap…..it holds up really well…..it probably isn’t gonna be the best Truck for Short Course Racing compared to some of the Race focused brands but for bashing it’s pretty good

It really is. I just bought one like 3 days ago the ultimate edition and it the funest rc I've ever driven. I'm officially sold and in love hahahah. And I've got rustlers and trx4s and others hahaha

What pinion and spur gears do you recommend on a slash 4x4 VXL that runs just about fifty percent of the time on pavement and fifty percent on dirt tracks using a 2s lipo? And 3s lipo?
I usually run 15t-16t pinion with the stock spur gear

Yeah that seems like a vulnerable spot
Try thicker oil in the front shocks. Watching it drive it has a lot of spring back on the jumps and landings
I think I swapped the springs on the front because I lost one in a crash….I’m not sure what rate those springs are?…that’s probably why it’s handling weird
Awesome! Next upgrade should definitely be new shocks. Maybe proline pro spec? Or Traxxas gtr?
These don’t do bad for bashing but they do handle poorly on the track….I don’t want to spend a huge amount on shocks though
@@RCKnockout yeah I definitely get what you're saying. I know this isn't your primary track car since you have the losi scte. Shocks can be expensive.
@@swololikesolo1625 yeah they can be super expensive…sometimes it just not worth it…I don’t think this one will ever be a track star….maybe if I had unlimited funds lol 😂
@@RCKnockout hahahaha I feel you on. The unlimited funds. I'm happy with what I have though, my ECX 2wd torment does great for the price. Got a brushless one on eBay in perfect condition for 195!

You should see if Hot Racing makes better pins for it so they don't keep coming out. They make them for the 2wd and they're a lifesaver

@@RCKnockout those pins on the front that keep falling out, the threads could be stripped in the plastic

Wanna know a worthy upgrade for the 2wd slash? Fit the 4x4 servo saver crank on the slash you have. Definitely a worthy upgrade for cheap! TRA6845X is the crank for the 4x4 slash the bearings should fit too you can also use the supplied servo horn it comes with
What’s the benefit over the current 2wd Servo saver horn?
@@RCKnockout drag slash doesn't use a saver horn. It's just a regular horn, and it uses the 4x4 slash's bell crank which is very neat, when you get the small kit it comes with a horn so not need to worry about that just look up that part number

@@RCKnockout drag slash is the same as the 2 wheel the reason why I mentioned the drag slash is too give you an idea how it'll work, the bell crank off it is stronger there fore a strong cheap upgrade for Your Slash 2wd

@@rh3263 if you use it…it’s gonna break…. there is no such thing as an unbreakable rc car…Traxxas cars are pretty easy to work on and the parts are cheap though…so that’s a plus
