- Cardiac imaging is a critical step in the accurate diagnosis of many heart conditions. Advanced imaging techniques can display three-dimensional pictures within the arteries, and perhaps provide clues to future cardiovascular events. Learn from Dr. Stefan Zimmerman to learn about the many types of new imaging technology such as coronary CT, calcium scoring, and cardiac MRI.

I have been scheduled for an MIBI scan and I wanted to know what it entailed. I would like to thank Dr. Zimmerman for taking the time to explain what will be happening. He speaks very clearly and slow enough that I could understand him. He is the perfect choice for this type of video. Thank you Dr. Zimmerman.🙂
Thanks for explaining the tests so clearly!
Thank You Doctory

As far as cardiac calcium scoring… I think it is a perfect objective measurement for vascular aging. I’d use it routinely for aging management. Without any symptoms, it will be impossible to get approved for cardiac CT scan..
So for the cardiac calcium scoring… pt has to pay cash if their insurance declines to cover it I guess…
I have enlarged heart, high blood pressure and low bottom numbers
I am coming in for a cardiac diagnosis so what do I expect
Can someone please tell me if plaque within the coronary arteries can be viewed with a cardiac MRI? I am scheduled for a CTA but due to issues with my bone marrow, I would like to avoid the radiation. I also had an enlarged lymph node in my chest which needs re-assessed. I would think either test could do that.
