  • A very special thank you to the entire APS ARMY. And to everyone who contributed to the GoFundMe Campaign for Danny. I hope we made you proud. And also a very special shout out to DANNY. Who gave himself a chance out here and for all the hard work he's been putting in himself. He really has a chance to succeed out here in the free world now. When just a month ago, he didn't think he had any sort of chance at all. Hope you enjoy this video.

This is the final episode of the Danny GoFundMe series. And I want to thank EVERYONE who supported this series. I hope this final video makes you happy. I hope it makes you humbled as it has me. And I hope it opens peoples eyes to what people can do together as a team when they offer someone hope and encouragement who would otherwise be without it. This world has a lot of negative shit in it and so much can hinder a person or hold them back NO MATTER WHAT THEY FACE OR HAVE BEEN THROUGH. But humanity is not lost. And this series proves that in so many ways. And no matter what you face. Or what is stacked up against you. So long as you GIVE YOURSELF A CHANCE FIRST, so long as you BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND TELL YOURSELF YOU CAN MAKE A BETTER LIFE FOR YOURSELF... Others will begin to believe in you as Dave, Cody, THE ENTIRE APS ARMY, and I believe in Danny. I hope this series makes you proud. I'm pretty sure the ending will.

I was fortunate to meet Danny today. He was at the grocerie store. Shopping for a little bit of items. And we had a little down to earth conversation in the parking lot of the store. I wish i had more time to talk with him a little longer. However, he had to go in help somebody. I can respect that. I see he trying give back. Due is very down to earth with intelligence. We talk about after prison show how he was grateful to meet the caring guys of the show. We talked about being ex-cons doing right things to make it in Society. Pretty much, we talked about turning negatives into positives. Also, he grateful for the people that helped him on go fund me too. We talked about that too. And best part about having the conversation with him. He was smiling like a adorable new born baby. He is happy and grateful now. That he has supporters on his side that care about him like us. He's a decent guy in my eyes. I hope he stay safe, continue working hard at his new job, and stay free. I want to see more prosperity in his life.

So touching to see how ‘the beast’ changed from the start til the end - from the start Danny had his head down, no sparkle in the eyes, no real smile, and he didn’t believe in a future for himself - to have his head high, his eyes is shining with a hugh smile on his face and with an amazing self-confidence in the end. I shed some tears in the end of this video because of what you, Joe and the others in APS are doing for lost souls like Danny was. I can’t imagen how bad life must have been for Danny to seriously be thinking about going back to prison - and all that shit he described from those 40 years... He was ready to change his life and needed someone to believe in him and give him a new chance in life - that’s the bottom line. It really made it very clear when you got that big Dave-case as a contrast in this video👍🏻 And you guys shows up and with the greatest dignity and humble ways helps Danny to pick up his soul and start all over in this life👏🏼
You really picked up a lost soul and made him blossom and thrive into the man he is now. That’s just the biggest gift you can give another human! RESPECT🙏🏼🤗

When comparing Danny in the “first day” clips vs the clips of Danny moving in... the smile and the hope in his eyes is clearly apparent now. He has hope. He has drive. He has determination. I grew up in Sunset Park in the 80's. Puerto Rican gangs everywhere. Guys like this were plentiful. Do the wrong thing and you get a bat to the head, a knife, or a bullet. I almost went down this same path, there I was with my knife in my hand and the other guy's arms were tangled in his jacket which he was trying to take off. The muscles in my arm tensed and so did my grip on the handle of the knife as I prepared to take the opportunity and thrust it into his heart. Time slowed down, seconds seemed to take forever and I had the clarity to understand that I would not get away with killing him. People would know who I was and I would be caught and life as I knew it would be over. So I turned around and ran as fast as I could. Yes, I could have put the knife away and fought but I was outnumbered 2 to 1 and I had already learned that there is no honor on the street. They would have killed me. Best decision I ever made.

To Danny: I am so glad U R out of prison after serving 40 years. I cant believe this system did this U. The time U were given is a cruel and abusive sentence. There is no Godly reason to subject another human being to be treated like U were. Danny, I am so grateful that U survived, and was able to see your son, his children, and all of your sister and brothers. I cried my eyes out when U were re-united with your family for Christmas! Danny, I am so happy to see that big beautiful smile you have now. Also, Danny your laugh is just sexy, as well as being uplifting for the soul. Danny, I want U to know U R a awesome beautiful man with a beautiful heart, and I wish you all the success this world can bring to U now that you are home. I also, thanked God that he protected you while you were inside. I am truly grateful that you survived and was not killed in prison. I am also very thrilled that I saw your story on U-Tube. This story opened my eyes to what an ugly system we run in the United States. Why would U put a young teenage man in jail for that long, and basically throw away the key. Danny, I am personally apologizing for the injustice that was done to you. I am truly ashamed of the United States of America. I hope and pray that this never happens to another human being. Danny, I am so proud that you have regained your dignity and respect. Danny, in my book you are one of the greatest men in this whole wide world. I wish you peace and happiness the rest of your life. I wish I could meet you one day before I leave this earth. I am 74 years old. I will be 75 on May 26, 2020, and I trust you with my life. I will close for now. I will always be praying for your well being. Also, I want to thank the crew that got Danny started on his road to recovery and victory. Always, remember Danny never look back! It would be interesting seeing him discover new things he has never seen before.. things the rest of us don't think twice about.. we all take so much for granted and seeing someone actually appreciate some of life's simple things might be a nice eye opener.

Danny seems to give me strength. I have been free for more than 14 years and I still read and struggle with work so now I do not feel alone. At the moment, I get paid for taking care of my mother but it isn't much. I did have a job gig where I made almost an extra Grand a month. Although, ever since my mom had congestive heart failure bread has been tight. However, after hearing your story I am free, I eat good food, I can play golf for two hours at a time. Life is good as long as your free. I live in California where they have the three strikes law so I know that if I do anything stupid my time doubles and the DA may decide to strike me out because I have a strike already. Now I am a big believer in God who allows me to live one day at a time. Good luck to you and me as well, Marty

Joe, Dave....man, this bit at the end, the recap, has me all watery-eyed. For real. Just seeing how closed off Danny's demeanor was upon the first meeting, to him speaking about not having any one or any connections to help him get a start out here, to him practically being dragged in the old prison video from '92....then BOOM! Him coming down the street on the moped with a big ol' ear to ear grin...man, that's just great. Really great. Danny got mixed up with the wrong people and did some bad stuff, no doubt, but I believe he paid his debt to society and after all that's gone down, you can tell just how humble he's become and that he's gonna be a continued success story.
This is why APS is so important and why it's one of the best original CZcams shows. Great work, Joe and crew.

So sorry you lost your dad 😢❤! I can't imagine how hard it have to be trying to make a life outside after doing time.
You have experienced hard situations. Your dad looks down on you, proud of your good heart and how you care for others in similar situations. Most important thing a parent wish for, is a child with a heart and understanding. ( At least that's how I feel)
Make the best out of your life, so you can be happy. That will make your dad happy too!
I was a junkie, and I never stopped caring about my loved ones. They were on my mind always. I was just so lost and didn't know how to make my body and psycke work clean..
I got methadone and help and finally got a life at 29 when I became a mom. I was lucky because I got help and support and before that I tried for years, but gave up until I was the only one to be there for my baby and got methadone. Sadly my brother didn't make it. He died in February. He foght so hard and wanted so much to get clean, but as tough and strong he was, it was dissapointments after dissapointments , health problems, engziety, lonlynes amongst straight people, financially tough and he struggled to much. His heart... He was proud, but broken in spirit. He hustled, but was a good person.
Hope you have good people around you! Probably you have seen the pain drugs leads to and won't go down that road... But just in case, I have to warn you, to please stay far away from it.. Everyone thinks they are strong enough and have the will power to stop... I did too, so did my brother and I guess all my dead friends...
The changes in your brain and body... No one thinks of before..
      Anyways, take care! 💕

So great to see he’s smiling now. He was somber at first but then once he got comfortable he laughed and joked with ya’ll which has gotta be a great feeling. He looks great and I wish him all the best.
Joe and APS you are doing some amazing philanthropical work. So nice to see the connection and support from a community that knows how hard it is to get back up.

Seeing Danny's general demeanor and facial expressions change throughout the series has been one of the greatest things ive ever witnessed. This is real happiness. I really hope Danny finds a permanent spot on APS because I look forward to seeing him in the videos just as much as I do y'all. Love from Southern Ohio/West Virginia again!

YES !!! What a great " feel good " story, Joe, Dave, and Cody. You should package up all your Danny episodes and find a way to get them out to guys coming out who could benefit ( and who couldn't ? ) from your help and ever growing connections in the community. State and Federal funding in the future ? Who knows ! Don't lose track of Danny ! You said in Pt 2 you guys were gonna go hang out in 6 months. I have it on my calendar for Feb 2019. What a great story. Well done guys !!! Another APS Army victory, one in a growing list...

I pray that everything works out. You guys already been blessed keep it going. This hits home so close the love of my life has been locked up for 14 years and is finally up for parole . All i can do is pray things will work out. He has a strong mind and im very hopeful for his future, most of all i have his back first as a friend. I have no expectations for him but to live his life. He makes promises about our future, i just want him to experience life first before making a commitment. Thanks for listening

It's crazy to see the change and Danny's demeanor. It truly goes to show that people who say they are institutionalized and cannot make it in society are just making excuses. This man has spent 2/3 of his life in Prison, and would just some help from you guys in some viewers he's already got a really good start to a life that most people with all the help in the world still don't have. Because he took the initiative, refused to make excuses, and did what he had to do. I'm a 29 year old single dad That has never been to prison, and he is doing better than I am. truly inspirational, and I hope the story has a happy ending permanently.
