    Hey, great vid! Can you please help me with a problem you refferred to?
    I have the non-Si version with plastic clips on the gear knob and all. I bought new gear knob as well as boot retainer, but what are next steps? You started this procedure in your video but you haven't finished it. I'm a newbie in all of this and I wouldn't want to screw anything up.
    Thanks in advance!

    Can you please do a HOW TO on installing the Acuity short throw adapter?

    I have a question. I have the non-si model. It's easy to take the boot and the original knob off, but, it has some sort of plastic clicks that fit on the Boot collar. So far I haven't found a Shift knob that bring the same sort of clicks to fit on the Collar. Any idea where to find it? Or where to find the adapter? Or the only way it's too replace the Collar?

      @procivic  Před 5 lety +2

      Unfortunately, it is not possible or recommended to remove the shift knob on the CVT models. They are fairly complex and have a number of locks and other components that prevent it moving that can easily be damaged.

    How would I get the boot to stay up on my 10th gen lx

    • @powerbook76
      @powerbook76 Před 5 lety

      YES I need to know this as well... non-Si do not have the bottom boot holder so the boot does not stay up

    • @Xepharyx
      @Xepharyx Před 5 lety

      Acuity sells a shift boot collar that you can install, it's a bit pricey though. You could also buy the Si part for the boot collar and install it the same way as the Acuity one.

    • @powerbook76
      @powerbook76 Před 5 lety

      its unfortunate that non-Si do not have those adapter that allow your boot to "click" onto the knob bottom. I actually ordered the Acuity's adapter but I was looking for an easy-way-out; didn't want to go about taking apart the dash and flipping the boot in order to install the adapter. Thanks@@Xepharyx
