Hey, great vid! Can you please help me with a problem you refferred to?
I have the non-Si version with plastic clips on the gear knob and all. I bought new gear knob as well as boot retainer, but what are next steps? You started this procedure in your video but you haven't finished it. I'm a newbie in all of this and I wouldn't want to screw anything up.
Thanks in advance!
I ordered my Mugen knob in blue along with the boot. Can’t wait until it comes in! Great video bro.
Glad it helped!
Before watching the whole video....Finally found a video on how to change the ugly OEM XGen Accord knobs
Can you please do a HOW TO on installing the Acuity short throw adapter?
I have a question. I have the non-si model. It's easy to take the boot and the original knob off, but, it has some sort of plastic clicks that fit on the Boot collar. So far I haven't found a Shift knob that bring the same sort of clicks to fit on the Collar. Any idea where to find it? Or where to find the adapter? Or the only way it's too replace the Collar?
I have the same problem. This video didn't help at all.
Thanks man this was helpful!
Thank you, video helped alot
quality video. thank you for the help.
how does the shift boot retain to the knob on the non si shifter? only the si shifter has that jam nut that also holds the shift boot?
Did you figure out how?
Thanks a lot! :)
Do non SI full instal cuz its not that easy with that plastic
If i will make my own shift knob wat is the size of the lever tread holding the knob tia..
I'm a little behind here...I have a 8th gen civic si..and I'm looking for a shift knob exactly like that on the video however I went to the website it don't have that kind of color ...that dark glossy grey color ...it only has the black , blue and neo color
Need a vid on removing the cvt knob!
Unfortunately, it is not possible or recommended to remove the shift knob on the CVT models. They are fairly complex and have a number of locks and other components that prevent it moving that can easily be damaged.
Can you please do a video of a front camber kit install for the 10th gen Si?
Hello Can you please a video for Honda Civic 8th generation washer nozzle adjustment / replacement?
Thanks
Does this work with the Sport version? Can’t seem to pull down the boot.
Might have the retaining clips like he mentions on the second half
Does this work on automatic
What about 10th Gen Civic Sports Hatchback manual? The shift boot looks totally different than that one in SI.
do all aftermarket shift knobs lead to boot sag, or just certain designs?
Is it weird that I have an SI but when I go to change the knob I have to follow the non SI steps????
Does it get out during the summer
Whats the name or brand of the shiftknob you installed?
Is that the Skunk2 weighted billet shift knob?

Need to turn down the music. In my car with a system, the base over powers the talking. I'm not trying to watch this for music. Please cut or turn the 'background music' down.
How would I get the boot to stay up on my 10th gen lx
YES I need to know this as well... non-Si do not have the bottom boot holder so the boot does not stay up
Acuity sells a shift boot collar that you can install, it's a bit pricey though. You could also buy the Si part for the boot collar and install it the same way as the Acuity one.
its unfortunate that non-Si do not have those adapter that allow your boot to "click" onto the knob bottom. I actually ordered the Acuity's adapter but I was looking for an easy-way-out; didn't want to go about taking apart the dash and flipping the boot in order to install the adapter. Thanks@@Xepharyx
What size thread is it?
The most common Honda thread for the shifter is 10x1.5.
how about automatic shift :)
Unfortunately, it is generally not possible to replace the shift knob on a automatic models due to the lock mechanisms they have.
@@procivic what about spring loaded shifters… a lot of people drive automatic, might be good to help them too

You don’t need this shift knob, your car is automatic! This knob is only for car driver enthusiast! (Manual tranny)!!!
