Tuning Tips - Enabling Full Throttle Shifting - 8th 9th Gen Si with Hondata FlashPro
In this video we go over some of the changes that need to be made, on a 8th or 9th Generation Civic Si calibration file, in order to take advantage of Hondata's Full Throttle Shift Feature.
With this setting enabled, it's possible to Flat Shift when accelerating and changing gears without having to let go of the accelerator pedal. This is possible with the Hondata FlashPro by telling the ECU to cut fuel when the throttle is wide open and the clutch pedal is being depressed, thus allowing you to up shift to the next gear without missing a beat and allowing you to improve your ET/Lap-Times at the track.

What about the park sensors??
Is that gonna fit 2020 automatic non turbo hatchback. Thanks
Will it fit a 2021 civic sedan?
Bro, you’re not gonna zoom in or anything? Just gonna stand 10 ft away from the camera and point?
Hello I have a 2013 honda accord Lxs that I believe uses the same parts. Would I still need to cut the shifter case?
Just installed this on my 2020 Civic EX Sedan, sounds great! @mattg327 - 1,000 times, THANKS! I went to Harbor Freight as soon as I read your comment. I didn't even use a 10mm socket, just the puller, worked PERFECTLY. It's the only way this should be done IMHO. Thanks again!
@procivic what kind of cleaner did you use to clean off the trunk lid and spoiler? I have a 2016 Honda civic that the spoiler got knocked off a few years ago and had been fine but now it’s leaking and want to replace it with something like this. Thanks, William B
Will the 3M tape adhere better if i do this in the direct sun or shade?
Video is for a different spoiler install and you are installing the one that is already installed in the beginning if the video. Not sure what is going on
Wish you guys would restock these, been trying to order one for a while now!
Mam, and i thought the cowl on my 09 was a pain. At least I didn't need to remove the wiper arms. This is gonna be fun ha.
I did this job myself and it took me 2 days to do all 4 corners LMAO. The front struts took 3/4 of the time. I couldn't get the freakin struts separated from the steering knuckle no matter how hard i pressed down on the lower control arm! And yes, I undid the 3 bolts holding the lower control arm to the ball joint. I ended up manhandling those things out of there by compressing the springs and removing the top end of the strut first instead of removing the bottom end of the strut first. I did end up damaging the inner fender liner and panel itself a fair amount... it is not a job I ever want to tackle again unless somebody can magically show me how to remove the struts like butter like how they do in this video.
does it require removing the OEM front lip?
Thank you very much for this. I bought a Hondata for my Si and disabled the rev hang with it and had to reflash it to stock tonight as I'm thinking of trading it in for a WRX STI. Worked like a charm. Unfortunately, rev hang still drives me nuts. Lol.
Nice! Now pull the other half 🎉
Is that same shit for me
Hey, thanks for taking the time to make this video. However, once you take the nut off the goddamn wiper arm, you need C4 to get the arm off. Would have been nice to have you cover this part and not waste everyone's time.
Watching a video taken from several feet away while he’s pointing to hidden bolts and sway bars is of little help. Often, the trickiest part of a job is removing and replacing trim……also not shown very well. This is a marginally helpful video for me.
Can I use this for stock suspension?
Hi I have a question
Is that fake leather nor the boot
Worst honda bumper design on any honda model ive ever worked on. What a nightmare. This car looks new and came apart really easily, in 5 years those clips wont come out without cutting them, none of the clips will come out without breaking, the eyebrows will break in half getting them off..... I no longer recommend honda.
If anyone struggling to get the studs off the cat use a torch get it red hot and then hammer it off with the extended 10mm socket
Be aware this does NOT fit the SI coupe
Be aware this isn’t a direct fit for the SI coupe, the plastic trim panel will need to be trimmed
Anyone have any tips about getting the welded bolts off the cat cannot get one off
Yes, but I can't take credit. @mattg327 suggested a pitman arm puller. I got mine at Harbor Freight for $16. Made that part super simple.
how tf am i supposed to take out the shifter cables. how are you going to explain how to take off panels with clips but not how to disconnect the shifter cables
I want an exhaust so bad on my 12 SI, but I do not want it to sound like a fart can so I’m being very picky as to what I put on it
Any idea what length the rear end links need to be to fit in the softer setting on the rear sway bar? I have messed with mine twice shorting them and lengthing them and tilted the bar in every direction possible , I just can’t seen to get them to line up correctly. I have the white line bar and plm adjustable links. They can go longer n shorter than the stock one but I just don’t understand why they are not lining up right the angle is always off. The bar is from u guys but the links are stolen from the local tuner shop in Covina,I didn’t steal them but a local crackhead was selling them in the in n out parking lot brand new in the box sealed who doesn’t own car so they are hot ! He only was asking $25 I couldn’t resist buying them.
i have this BC shifter but there is so much play in the shifter when not in gear. if just sitting in neutral and you push side to side it is playing like there are no gromets or bushings holding it in place. i took it to a shop and they said thats just how it is. any advice? thank you
wtf!! U didn’t show anything like setting the template drilling etc. Terrible video. Waste of my TIME!!😤😤
Hey, can the emblem be placed on a Honda Civic 2013 LX or only on the Si ?
I think fits R18 as well?
Do you need a tune after installing?
if you have a flashpro then use it
My coil overs came in and I never got washers or Allen keys for my coil overs smh
How’s the build quality on the Sirimoto rear camber control arms?
Would I need adjustable rear upper control arms to perform the alignment on the 9th gen civics or only the front camber bolts?
How many miles on this and what were the symptoms?
Bro i have 43K miles on mine and front passenger already giving me issues, it makes like a cracking noise/thump when i accelerate or hit a small dip. I also have some other issues but nothing major thankfully, these new gen hondas suck ass. They dont build them like before.
A little late to ask, but I would like to know if it is made of soft plastic material or is it ABS plastic which is harder? Thanks
Good 👍 ASS job Brudda ✌.
Thank you!!!!! Was able to change out USB cable. 🎉
Hey bud, I just bought one of these two for my civic, but it came out to be warped or a little bent How do I fix that? Any suggestions? I should recommend on because this is the main thing I always want it for my civic.
Hey i have a question, I was trying to change my shifter knob and i accidently dropped a screwninside the hole and i cant see it , but i feel it moving from time to time. Is this dangerous to leave inside or not? Should i take it out right away?
Glad I saw this before trying to do it myself 👍 saved me from a headache and making mistakes
dont follow a "mechanic" that does a "how to" video and uses dollar store pliers as a hammer
Damn, I’m definitely gunna try and take it out from the front lolol
Can I install this in my Honda Civic 2018 2.0?
Bout to deep clean the shit our of my car
Great video....just a question why are some videos show headlamp eyebrow trim still attached to bumper? I am wanting to just remove the headlamp trim so is this possible?
Thanks bro, this helped me so much you have no idea. Your the man 👍
