Toyota Avensis T27 halogen headlight repair and upgrade with Bi-xenon HID projectors DIY kit

- In this video, we upgrade Toyota Avensis T27 headlights with some new Aharon HID bi-xenon projectors (3" Optimus NT). The upgrade from the OEM halogen projector is really big. So when you have a bad light output from your Avensis T27 halogen headlights, this kit is a really big upgrade for the lighting, guaranteed!
The installation is quite easy because the original projector can be replaced with a new and better bi-xenon HID projector from the rear opening.
The wiring needed to convert from H7 to D2S is included and because D2S bulbs can be used in the Aharon Optimus NT, there is also the option to use high-quality Osram bulbs for the best output (better than most cars on the road).
We have tried to use bi-led projectors, but a 2,5" bi-led projector lens leaves a gap in the original opening that is too large / doesn't look good.
The 3" Aharon bi-led projector doesn't fit / at least not without a large amount of modifications to the projector/internals of the headlight.
The headlights we had were a bit worn and had some damaged parts and were only used by us for the video. These are not headlights we were paid to do for a customer and so these were not shipped to a customer this way.

Retrofitting refers to the addition of new technology or features to older systems. These days there are a lot of people who put a simple plug & play xenon kit in their halogen headlight housing in an attempt to improve night vision and looks of their vehicle. In fact they don’t realize that their headlight beams are often worse than before. Night vision achieves relatively little improvement on night vision because of a poor beam pattern, which increases the blinding of other road users. This is because their headlight housings are designed for halogen and not xenon.
A true Bi-Xenon projector update is now possible for your car. Such an upgrade will significantly improve your light output from 700-2100 lumens to 2800 and 3500 lumens, without blinding other traffic with glare from your headlight. Upgrade your headlight OEM style!

Podrias hacer una adaptacion asi para el Avensis II (2003) ??? Si puedes, como podria ordenar, pagar y recibir el envio??
VEry interesting video ! I have an Avensis T27, from 2009. Wouldn´t it be better to keep the High Beams Bulb, that would light up simultaneously wih the Bi-Xenon High Beam ?
Hi, Yes, you can keep the high-beam bulb. You can use the high beam splitter for that; the high beam splitter is already included in the kit.
How to raise the low beam headlights if there is auto corrector?

We have tried to use bi-led projectors, but a 2,5" bi-led projector lens leaves a gap in the original opening that is too large / doesn't look good.
The 3" Aharon bi-led projector doesn't fit, at least not without a large amount of modifications to the projector/internals of the headlight, because of some mounting/adjustment points.
But also for light output / color options (some prefer 4300k for bad weather) / pattern / high beam, the Optimus NT and some good Osram bulbs are still hard to beat by LED. So in 2022 HID is still very usable.

@@eisr9320 No, there is a different projector installed in the T27 headlight. We have a seperate kit for the T27 headlight with another projector and a different bracket, specific to the T27 headlight.

Ga aub nooit met een doorslijpschijf op de zijkant duwen. Dit is heel erg gevaarlijk, omdat hij hier niet voor bedoeld is en uit elkaar kan klappen.
Inderdaad! Gebruik een afbraamschijf of beter een 'Dremel' met passend accessoire :-)
Stukje opbouwend kritiek: soldeer de verbinding, die Scotch locks hebben ook niet altijd een super fijne verbinding.
Verder goede video! Mooi dat dat zo past en wat een upgrade!! 💡 ☀
