I am one of those who want to listen and watch on CZcams instead of just listening on a podcast. There are several of us on the OU Insider 247 site who reference it when appropriate, usually with a link. There's still lots of fans out there who don't know about it so we'll try to boost it when we can because you two are great with the info and knowledge.
When I was in Army ROTC at OU, Schmitty came in and gave us a guest workout on a Friday and I had to eat my breakfast through a straw. Anyone who says they want a workout with him had no idea what they're taking about.
We need Schmitty on the show guys.

Thibs, Odom, Cain, etc. are just a phone call away from being back on staff in a year or so. Keep that in mind as we mourn these guys leaving. Who knows how long Roof remains at DC, or before Hall is elevated and they need someone to backfill that opening. Not saying that will be the case but you just never know what will happen. I mean, if someone told us before the bedlam game that Lincoln was jumping a flight to southern california never to return to OU, you would've called that person insane.
Since Lincoln Riley left the Oklahoma Sooners have a better team than they were. A blessing in disguise. You have better coaching staff and I believe you have better recruits and commitments. Oklahoma Sooners is going to be in a better position moving to the SEC.
One day after Lincoln Riley made a decision, I still can’t wrap my head around, I went to CZcams for opinions and answers. I don’t listen to the typical talking heads on ESPN or FOX, I wanted to hear from people who know OU. I found this pod cast, I’m not a pod cast guy, but I loved the commentary, the knowledge, and I feel like I can sit at the table with these guys, drinking beer, cutting up, and laughing my ass off. So, I am one of those suspicious followers that instantly subscribed and am now a fan. Btw, my opinion, as long as college football does not eat itself with the NIL and transfer portal, I feel like we are witnessing the infant stages of a dynasty that will legitimately compete for National Championship’s every year. Something that obviously was not going to happen with Lincoln Riley, not hating on Linc but knowledgeable fans who religiously watch OU knew that toughness and discipline was missing from this program. I know all this hype has to translate to the field but I have no doubt this team will look pleasantly different next year. BOOMER!!

I get the idea that a lot of the folks who want to "go through" a Schmitty workout would DIE if they did one of those workouts. Mainly old guys living their macho fantasies through identification with the guys doing the workouts. My Totem is mighty, we have the hardest workouts.

Jayden Hazelwood never got a proper opportunity to be the man, in my opinion. I'm happy for him. Much like Charleston Rambo did at Miami, after leaving us, Hazelwood is going to be an absolute stud at Arkansas. I'm good with Mims, Williams, and Wiess as our 1, 2, and 3 receivers, but Hazelwood never got a proper opportunity to shine here... much like Charleston Rambo. Nothing but love for those two guys. I believe they will both play on Sundays

A few things, Ikard, why the big play over defensive ends coach being in seminary school? Again, Ikard, just because you're saying he is the #1 WR coming out of high school does not mean exceptions should be 1st round of NFL draft board. I bet your bottom dollar if we looked at #1 ranked position coming out of high school "does not" play into being a 1st round draft pick. Just my take, great job guys and Lehman keep Ikard straight.

Recruiting services rank the guys that they think are potential 1st round draft picks as five stars. That's why there are only 30 or so of them.

I mean to be such an offensive mastermind one would think that almost every offensive coach would be dying to work under him and learn his wizardry, or these guys are smart enough to see through the shallow mirage of Riley's system.

I hope these guys (football players) start having decent haircuts and wearing suits and ties. Cale Gundy has been at Oklahoma since 1990 and glad he is getting an opportunity to call plays in the bowl game, it might set him up for an OC position. He been here at this time and he has to know something. The 2019 class was sabotaged big time this year by Lincoln Riley. I think it was a stupid move to leave so much money on the table for most of the opted outs, there would be so much more money coming out under Venables discipline.

Hazelwood didn't appear to have the speed and explosiveness that even players like Jazz Reynolds had..he just didn't pass the eye test.. was, he misused or underdeveloped?
Definitely under developed.
Also misused, like having him be the target on bubble screens. He is a high point, go up and get it type receiver. He's not a speedster like Mario Williams or Marvin's Mims...imo
Lincoln did OU a favor! This change backfired big time on him. “Texas Tech” mentality will get you nowhere at OU, as he didnt produce Championships other than the weak Big 12.

Since year one of the BCS, all bowls but one "havent meant anything". I hate to break it down to existentially, but do any of these games 'matter', even a championship honestly? I thought it was all because we like football. Thats why it matters. By this nonsense logic, just shutdown the team after you lose your first or second game in the regular season.

Sure his knee injury cost him time and he was probably poorly coached but my point remains we are OU we don't sign 5 star receivers to be blockers if they don't make game changing plays they need to move on. Mims has made alot more plays than JH and even he was poorly utilized but one is a threat and the other doesn't even warrant extra dB attention

I'm in Teddy's camp on this "opiting out", It's BS! You sign a Scholarship to a School to Play for them it's like getting a Good Paying job with Perks. Only thing the Coach's Team, school ask is that you play, not Play when you want to. You are Representing Your School, Team Coach, and you let all Three down plus Your self when you use an "Excuse" to be a Slacker. Look at Florida last year You think ou would have had a walk in the park if they had faced a Full strength Florida team, instead of a bunch of Second and Third teamers. Dependability, Character, Ethics go down the Toilet when you are a "No Show".

I swear to God if we don’t stop playing defense in a way where our DBs play 12 yards off the ball when the other team needs 6 I’m gonna pull my hair out and I’ve got a shaved head. We need our DBs to punch those receivers in the mouth at the line. DBs have been the weakest portion of our defense for at least the last six years.

Completely off topic, but I have a question. Why doesnt OU claim the 1915, 1948, 1954, and 1973 national titles? They are undefeated seasons and since poll natties are just opinion based anyway, my opinion is we should claim them. The NCAA recognizes them.

I'm not here to trash any team....but who currently sitting on the coaching staff at OU can recruit at a high level? This year class is a save, but what about going forward? Texas just got rb coach who known for recruitingand etc. I just hope OU can recruit against conference foes like Bama, lsu, TX, a&m, ga and Florida. Next recruiting class will be a good indicator about coaches ability to recruit. Yes, I know development is paramount. Yet, outside of TX (possibly fl and TAMU) development was an issue under herman;it's not at the other schools.
But I would love to do a Schmitty workout. Yeah it’ll be tough. But and hear me out. I want to be 💪

I throw no shade at guys sitting out for the bowl game because at this point if its not a playoff game and maybe a NY6, the bowl game should be treated as practice and reps for guys who are gonna be playing next year. Like just being pragmatic, if your team is underperforming next year no one cares if you won some meaningless bowl game the previous season.
