Here is a way we have found to easily fix common issues with vertical blinds. We use these in our apartment homes and they are a great inexpensive way to block out light and provide privacy. They do, however, have a few issues that come up and here are some quick and easy fixes to help make these home repairs.

I had the first problem with the blind that would not settle with the rest because it was facing the wrong way by 90 degrees. It took a bit of courage to grab the mechanism to twist it back to the same as all the other carriers, but I swallowed hard and twisted. A loud click followed, and the job was done. Many, many thanks for a super video.😀

This just saved me money!! I just bought new ones and since my door locks in the middle my son broke the gear after only a week of them hanging. This was why I bought new ones😂 thought because of that little piece I was going to again. Thank you thank you so very much!!!

I'm a master at this now I help people all the time I had one that was off clicks so I loosened it to when it would be open and started clicking them all evenly until theu were perpendicular it was 2 clicks on each and then I twisted it and it was like it was brand new I like these alot especially mine it's in my master bed room I have a deck off the bedroom and it used all the time so when the blinds don't work it's a big hassle. Thank you very much!

Thanks for this!!! I hate rhose rebellious, renegade vanes!!! And, for the ones that tear like that last one you showed, I just cut it straight across underneath the hole, then make a new hole and snap it back in. It's a little shorter than the others, but it's not that big a deal!

amazon sells special super sticky clear stickers to fix the slats hole issue, which should hold up pretty well, and are less than $10. gonna give em a shot.
Thanks for your clear repair instructions, very helpful. I have 2 sets of these blinds installed on sliding glass doors in a short term rental. The downstairs set operates well, no problems. The set on the main floor are used frequently, and are often damaged by renters unfamiliar with operating them. Now the problem is that the white cord used to slide the panels open and closed is jammed, so will not move. I am able to manually slide the panels open. Is there a way to fix this cord?
It’s possible that if you take apart the gear part where the cord goes that you could get it going again. But, to be honest, We got rid of all of the corded ones at our rentals. Tenants seemed to struggle with them more.

Can’t believe no one commented on your muscles, your video was great too. Hmmm. I have the first issue like others. I tried to turn it all the way to the left it moved somewhat but not enough to make a big difference- it actually seemed to move back. Is there a trick to this? Maybe I have to push up or down. Scared I’ll break it!
I did that a very old vertical blinder I am currently renting and it snapped and broke down since the plastic is old. It was funny to me. 😂
I have old blinds where it's just a solid piece where the stem is held, and I can't find ANY videos on how to replace it. The closest I found they said to just "force it out", well, the stem broke and now I have the base stuck inside and can't get it out. I'm renting, so the last thing I want to do it replace the gd things

Where can you get new gears for vertical blinds
I have been trying unsuccessfully to place the little gear (that mates with the rotating rod). Reference approximately minute 2:30 of your video. It keeps falling out before I can place the clip. Also what should the position of the gear's teeth be relative to the clip?
Do you know how i would fix one that is freely sliding? Like, if I spin them open or close, they work just fine but if I slide them across so there not blocking the window and I go to pull them back across the window, only one is attached to the slider so only one will slide back unless I grab them with my hand and manually pull it with my hands.
If the pull cord is sagging on my blinds do I need to replace it?

(1) In my living room window blinds, only 1 out of the total 9 blinds move when I pull the rope attachment. The remaining 8 blinds just stop moving along with the first one after 2 seconds of pulling my rope attachment so there is this huge gap created when I close the blind and sunlight comes right in.What to do about it?
(2) For my bedroom window blinds, i ma having the same issue but in this case 4 out of 9 blinds move after pulling the rope attachment. The remaining 5 just won’t move at all after a while so it creates a wide gap and sunlight comes right in. How to solve this issue?

I'm having the same issue, Sky Management. The stick is stuck on my blinds as well and won't twist one way or the other. It feels like there is a lot of force stuck behind it. Note, it still freely slides down the track, just won't twist.
