Is it possible to repair the string that draws open the slats from left to right? The slats still turn but they no longer open from left to right because the string seems to have come off its track. The string will pull the tracks to the left but to push them back to the right you have to do this by hand.

Update: I used a long screwdriver as leverage to separate and move the hooks so the panels are back where they belong. So I’m good, but my runners must need lubricating or something. Because when the slats are open, and I try to dray them back, they don’t move very well. I don’t want to pull the cord to force them. What should I do? Thank you.
I have fabric slats with iron weight piece at bottom. Our slats are not easy to come out from the plastic hook up there and many of these clips are split and broken. You did not mention anything about the clips. Can you please tell what to do if the plastic hooks engaging the slats are broke open.
I made a mistake of spraying down the rail with WD-40 and now I’m having an issue sliding it back-and-forth. What is the correct way to lubricate the rail? I’ve used multiple lubricants running it down the rail and it leaks all down the blinds and on the floor. I’m using blaster silicone lubricant.
So today if you can answer this, I have a wand mechanism. I turned it and it made a little pop sound and now it just turns and turns either way and the blinds don't open. Can this be fixed?
if you have torn the hole on the end of the slat that clips in to hang, flip the blind over and make a new slot/hole with a paper punch, punch a single hole in the center then nibble left and right to make it like a slot and rehang it.
I have a broken wand mechanism on vertical blinds but the blinds split in the middle and the wand mechanism is in the middle not on the end. Can this be replaced and if so how?
What can be done if the blinds only retract on one side? They rotate fine. But when I pull the cord to move the slats to the sides (they open from the middle and collect on each side), only one side retracts. The other I have to move by hand. Is there a way to “restring” this?

I have an 8 foot valence on 5 clips that always has a warp in it. Tried 2 people pulling at either end...didn't work. Anyone have a solution? Clips and brackets all appear to be in straight. Maybe the wall isn't perfectly straight?
I see that PJ never answered my query? I also see that PJ does not bother to answer many of the viewers who need assistance. So no subscription. If you got a similar problem of a stuck pull cord (that's to open and close entire vertical) i was advised to take down parts as shown and see about any broken parts; if all parts are okay, clean and lubricate rail or track and see if that works out. However, before you put it up test the track for motion, if not, order a new part. Whoever invented these verticals was a real, complicated, genius.

How do you measure to replace? Go by the individual blind length? I want to replace the unit that pops out. The casing is fine. I want all new blinds.

Ok so my slats do not come off like that. They have a different attachment at the top. There is a top piece over the whole. Can I still replace them?
