    Thanks. I've got the exact same rear basket system (and a Trek, also). I wanted to see someone one attach it since I wasn't sure how the whole thing is supposed to look when complete.

    An excellent instructional video, many thanks for taking the time to do it! The engineering Topeak put into their products is great too, really shows they've thought about it from the perspective of cyclists.
    Just such a shame the front basket is so small (depth is fine but width is disappointing) ! It could have done with looking more like the rear one.

      Thanks. Yes the front basket is going to get some mods soon. The clamp sometimes gives and it tilts. Will probably fashion some kind of stay to hold it.

      That's good to know because for all my complaining, I ended up getting one anyway! I'll see how well it grips my handlebars and report back if I find similar issues ...

      Thanks Michaela. We just ordered another set. Been using them now for a while and find them sturdy and love the slide on basket feature

    Nice! I set my Trek Montare up for bike camping with rear panniers but haven't tried it out yet.

      I am still looking at panniers. What size panniers are you running?

    • @johncampbell335
      @johncampbell335 Před 6 lety

      Nature Calls Backpacking The panniers I chose are 12 liters per side. I might just grab one of those baskets for the front. They look decent.

    just seems like you put any weight in the front basket. it will just be dropping down.. with just those rubber mounts on the handlebar.

    How is that rack working out for you? Do you still use it with the basket?

    • @naturecallsoutdoors
      @naturecallsoutdoors  Před 5 lety

      Rack is great. We use the basket regularly and it is great. It is on my wife's bike and she also has the front basket, but mainly used the rear basket almost daily.
