You were a few hours behind us. The following weekend on the way back we had similar issues with busy superchargers. Once you’re plugged in they’re really quick though. Abington had 2/8 out of order.
It just makes things that tad more difficult, when the SC's are super busy... and when you've faulty units. Abington was utter chaos... there was just no where to park, if you wanted to wait for a charge. At Gretna I should've been more forceful, as someone "pushed in" when another person drove off... we were waiting, but it all worked out fine in the end. All the best Simon 😀👍
Although there are lots of M3 about, they are still a tiny portion of the cars on the road, imagine what it’s going to be like at peak times when the number of tesla’s double and EVs double or triple. Might need to rent out an ICE for those trips.
With so many "cheap" Model 3s on the road now, coupled with a Bank Holiday weekend, it is unfortunately. Tesla are expanding the supercharger network, and they need to frankly. It's now the most popular EV in the UK, the Model 3.
@@doubledutch13 Was a delight to use the superchargers in Scotland. Edinburgh was semi busy at the times we rolled up, but still got a quick charge each time 🙂👍
@@doubledutch13 28th Nov last year. We like it. Paint not great, but I think we'll get there in the end. They've resprayed the bonnet once already, but big chunk off the top of the wing. Like it's just not hard enough. Got a paint expert booked to do us a report. If he says it's not fit, I'll demand a full respray. Got more paint missing after 5k miles than all my cars put together over 30 years! It's just not right.
New sub here, looking forward to watching your journeys, I have a Model 3 coming in March so trying to swat up! All the best, Marcus

Is it common for SCs to be fully occupied?

James, not in Scotland. Our busiest site is Motherwell but it’s also our biggest at 12 bays. (Perth is 12 too)

@@TeslaModel3Adventures we are lucky - when did you get the M3
