    You are a wealth of knowledge! Thank you so much for providing these videos. I'm a newish teacher (I have been certified and teaching for 6 years) but I'm looking to expand my vocabulary and gain a deeper understanding of anatomy. These videos are super helpful! :)

    Great point, Rachel! Inhaling when starting the twist opens your air channels, synchronize muscle movements, gives you a stability and removes all tension. Thanks for the vital instructions!

    Excellent emphasis on the marvels of spine specific rotation! Incidentally, the proper golf swing precisely follows all the exact same guidelines you so beautifully elucidated. Where precise rotation is an absolute. The ball will tell you if you cheated. A broomstick up the back is a nice verbal que that visual learners might benefit from. You can also use an actual broomstick held up to the spine ( trail hand,straps,partner,bungee,duct tape) to practice. 😊

      Nice! I don't play golf so am unfamiliar with the mechanics ~ but looks like yogis and golfers alike may benefit from broomstick 😁

    Can you move adhesions ? I have had multiple abdomen surgeries and I know I have adhesions . I’m always worried whether it will bother me one day or whether I’ll have hernias one day… or gi issues

    • @RachelScottYoga
      @RachelScottYoga  Před rokem

      Hi Stella! You can get a visceral massage from a trained massage therapist, which can help in breaking up scar tissue. Movement and mobility will also be so good for you (so it’s perfect that you’re here 👍🏻). Nice deep breathing practices will also be good as they help your viscera move all around each other. The great thing is that the body is super adaptive ~ scar tissue was it’s way of keeping you safe ~ but now you can take more specific steps to maintain your visceral mobility 👍🏻
