Man, this is the pinnacle of paintball. I wish things had gotten to here, and just stopped in time. Kind of a shame I've had to wait 15 years for paintball to come full circle, but this warms my heart nonetheless. I would have loved to see some ule mags out there instead of shockers(uugh) but I'll take it.

10 man brought Paintball to the forefront, why they went away from it still baffles me
The smaller the numbers the easier it was to organize. Also 10 man went away during the age of high priced equipment and paint.
That was a tv deal with Dick Clark for the NXL. They thought it was more of a TV friendly format. That deal fell through. I think it was John D on Facebook who joked about how Dick Clark had the pilot sitting on a VHS in some desk.

I had the pleasure of meeting him at "skyball" in Toronto about 14 years ago.
I could see a guy at rockys booth wearing a fanny pack... when i walked up to say hey, the first words out of his mouth were "FANNY PACKS....fucking gay or fucking COOL - what do you think?"
I said fucking gay. He then signed my poster and i was on my way.
I will always rememeber that.

Not sure what rules they use for the Iron City Classic. But at 9:28, the guy got hit in the pod and drops it. If it was NXL rules, that player can be seen as wiping and would be a gross major with another major if they really want to shit on him for playing on and effecting the game.

Cheating seems so common in this event type.... lol @ the guy that got shot in the top of the loader and immediately tried to suicide the guy on the other side of the pipes.

That was a pussy move on his part. If I was the reff he definitely would have got his team a major. I can’t believe they didn’t give him one. If you can’t take it don’t play the game lol
With all the refs running, it looked like it was a penalty being thrown.
At 25% speed it looks like he shot either the pod or the ball broke and sprayed the pod but his loader wasn't covered. No other shots landed...
Pause it at 9:32 and you can see the paint on his loader. The shot landed on his hand, loader, and pod. They pulled 1 additional player for the subsequent actions.
