2019 IRON CITY CLASSIC madness - throwback paintball event - Old School!

- The first year of the ICC about half the players shot electronic markers. This year there seemed to be a lot more mechanical markers on the field. There were Autocockers from Shocktech, Inception, Freeflow and more. There seemed to be less eNMEys than previous years but more Shocker CVO's. It seemed like almost every team had Emeks. So. Many. Emeks. Everywhere. There were also quite a few Planet Eclipse Gtek M170r's and at least one brave soul with a Tippmann and another with an Automag. Adrenaline was there with a booth and the first Adrenaline Shockers were on the field and in their booth.

Yes, it's an issue. Hopefully it gets better.
Overshooting was a fact of life in the early days of paint ball.
I remember seeing a Traumahead Sportz DVD of Kopcok bunkering a guy in the snake while doing a front flip over him lol. Seeing some of these players and team names REALLY brought back some good memories.

you mean to tell me that if you actually make a format without barriers to entry and dont cap the number of teams that players will show up🤔 well imagine my shock. maybe the industry forgot that this is literally how every tournament was during paintballs peak years before they tried to convince us that xball was the future
The number of teams actually was capped. It sold out in less than 20 minutes.

Wat? No one suggested banning them.
Banning electros is dumb, letting people use them (at 5.5 bps cap) means people can still play without having to buy another gun. Anything that makes paintball and tournaments easier to play is a good thing.
Actually, one of the reasons the Iron City has thrived is because they allowed them. The first year, about half the players used one. If those players didn't play the first year, the event would have been less than half the size and might never have happened again.
In fact, the idea was so good, events across the country started allowing electros set to 5.5 bps and those events started growing!
Thankfully no one listened to your idea or we might not have the current classic paintball revolution.
