      Thank you, but not always. It’s the little things that get to me… just ask Ron!

    Hairy time indeed, engine failure a few yards off a lee shore when it's blowing 20+. Happy the engine started again. BTW when you were leaving Pahokee Marina, were you trying to get off that dock without a bow thruster? I would think a good bow thruster is pretty indispensable for a single-screw powerboat.

      Yes - we have no thrusters. Usually I can spring off the dock in the manner I attempted but the wind was so strong it would not let me turn the boat to starboard. I agree that thrusters would be nice but that’s a little out of our budget. 😉

    Strange that you never see those kind of conditions in the brochures. I was getting nervous and I'm sitting on my couch!

    Marie can now brag about how she got to play with dolphins 😅 😂 😅

    Is no one going to mention the big foot sighting on the riverbank??

      Too funny!! Are you referring to the Big Foot by the swing bridge? I had never noticed it because I was always looking at the bridge. You must have a keen eye for detail. Marie went looking though and she found it. Now where do we claim our reward? Divide it 3 ways?

    Was is gunk in the fuel tank ?

    • @CruisingThisOldBoat
      @CruisingThisOldBoat  Před měsícem

      Unfortunately yes - we really need our tanks cleaned out as they have a lot of yucky stuff in the bottom but there is no access port so it will be a major job. ☹️

    Are the dolphins those pylons?

      Yes - you are correct. A group of pilings is called dolphins although I have no idea why. I’ve tried without success to discover the origin of the name. Perhaps someone here knows.
